Abstract:We study the finite-dimensional simple modules, over an algebraically closed field, of the affine Temperley--Lieb algebra corresponding to the affine Weyl group of type $A$. These turn out to be closely related to the simple modules for a certain $q$-analogue of the annular algebra of V.F.R. Jones.

Abstract:The Temperley-Lieb algebra may be thought of as a quotient of the Hecke algebra of type A, acting on tensor space as the commutant of the usual action of quantum sl(2) on the n-th tensor power of the 2-dimensional irreducible module. We define and study a quotient of the Birman-Wenzl-Murakami algebra, which plays an analogous role for the 3-dimensional representation of quantum sl(2). In the course of the discussion we prove some general results about the radical of a cellular algebra, which may be of independent interest.

Abstract:In a previous paper, we presented an infinite dimensional associative diagram algebra that satisfies the relations of the generalized Temperley--Lieb algebra having a basis indexed by the fully commutative elements of the Coxeter group of type affine $C$. We also provided an explicit description of a basis for the diagram algebra. In this paper, we show that the diagrammatic representation is faithful and establish a correspondence between the basis diagrams and the so-called monomial basis of the Temperley--Lieb algebra of type affine $C$.

Abstract:We construct a bijection between admissible representations for an affine Lie algebra 𝔤 at boundary admissible levels and ℂ^× fixed points in homogeneous elliptic affine Springer fibres for the Langlands dual affine Lie algebra 𝔤^∨. Using this bijection, we relate the modularity of the characters of admissible representations to Cherednik's Verlinde algebra construction coming from double affine Hecke algebras. Finally, we show that the expected behaviors of simple modules under quantized Drinfeld-Sokolov reductions are compatible with the reductions from affine Springer fibres to affine Spaltenstein varieties. This yields (modulo some conjectures) a similar bijection for irreducible representations of 𝒲-algebras, as well as an interpretation for their modularity properties.

Abstract:Under a suitable hypothesis, we construct a full set of pairwise orthogonal maximal vectors in V ⊗ n , where V = V ( 1 ) is the simple module of highest weight 1 for the quantized enveloping algebra U ( sl 2 ) . We give a number of applications, one of which is an orthogonal basis of the simple modules for the Temperley–Lieb algebra TL n . We relate this new orthogonal basis to the standard cellular basis.

Abstract:The representation theory of 0-Hecke-Clifford algebras as a degenerate case is not semisimple and also with rich combinatorial meaning. Bergeron et al. have proved that the Grothendieck ring of the category of finitely generated supermodules of 0-Hecke-Clifford algebras is isomorphic to the algebra of peak quasisymmetric functions defined by Stembridge. In this paper we further study the category of finitely generated projective supermodules and clarify the correspondence between it and the peak algebra of symmetric groups. In particular, two kinds of restriction rules for induced projective supermodules are obtained. After that, we consider the corresponding Heisenberg double and its Fock representation to prove that the ring of peak quasisymmetric functions is free over the subring of symmetric functions spanned by Schur's Q-functions.

Abstract:We define categories $\mathcal{O}^w$ of representations of Borel subalgebras $\mathcal{U}_q\mathfrak{b}$ of quantum affine algebras $\mathcal{U}_q\hat{\mathfrak{g}}$, which come from the category $\mathcal{O}$ twisted by Weyl group elements $w$. We construct inductive systems of finite-dimensional $\mathcal{U}_q\mathfrak{b}$-modules twisted by $w$, which provide representations in the category $\mathcal{O}^w$. We also establish a classification of simple modules in these categories $\mathcal{O}^w$.

Abstract:Using the results of J. Arthur on the representation theory of classical groups with additional work by Colette Moeglin and its relation with representations of affine Hecke algebras established by the author, we show that the category of smooth complex representations of a split $p$-adic classical group and its pure inner forms is naturally decomposed into subcategories which are equivalent to a tensor product of categories of unipotent representations of classical groups (in the sense of G. Lusztig). A statement of this kind had been conjecture by G. Lusztig. All classical groups (general linear, orthogonal, symplectic and unitary groups) appear in this context. We get also parameterizations of representations of affine Hecke algebras, which seem not all to be in the literature yet. All this should also shed some light on what is known as the stable Bernstein center.

Abstract:Many connections and dualities in representation theory and Lie theory can be explained using quasi-hereditary covers in the sense of Rouquier. Recent work by the first-named author shows that relative dominant (and codominant) dimensions are natural tools to classify and distinguish distinct quasi-hereditary covers of a finite-dimensional algebra. In this paper, we prove that the relative dominant dimension of a quasi-hereditary algebra, possessing a simple preserving duality, with respect to a direct summand of the characteristic tilting module is always an even number or infinite and that this homological invariant controls the quality of quasi-hereditary covers that possess a simple preserving duality. To resolve the Temperley–Lieb algebras, we apply this result to the class of Schur algebras and their -analogues. Our second main result completely determines the relative dominant dimension of with respect to , the -th tensor power of the natural two-dimensional module. As a byproduct, we deduce that Ringel duals of -Schur algebras give rise to quasi-hereditary covers of Temperley–Lieb algebras. Further, we obtain precisely when the Temperley–Lieb algebra is Morita equivalent to the Ringel dual of the -Schur algebra and precisely how far these two algebras are from being Morita equivalent, when they are not. These results are compatible with the integral setup, and we use them to deduce that the Ringel dual of a -Schur algebra over the ring of Laurent polynomials over the integers together with some projective module is the best quasi-hereditary cover of the integral Temperley–Lieb algebra.

Abstract:Let (W,S) be a Coxeter system of affine type D, and let TL(W) the corresponding generalized Temperley-Lieb algebra. In this extended abstract we define an infinite dimensional associative algebra made of decorated diagrams which is isomorphic to TL(W). Moreover, we describe an explicit basis for such an algebra of diagrams which is in bijective correspondence with the classical monomial basis of TL(W), indexed by the fully commutative elements of W.

Modular Representations of Truncated current Lie algebras

Abstract:In this paper we consider the structure and representation theory of truncated current algebras $\mathfrak{g}_m = \mathfrak{g}[t]/(t^{m+1})$ associated to the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ of a standard reductive group over a field of positive characteristic. We classify semisimple and nilpotent elements and describe their associated support varieties. Next, we prove various Morita equivalences for reduced enveloping algebras, including a reduction to nilpotent $p$-characters, analogous to a famous theorem of Friedlander--Parshall. We go on to give precise upper bounds for the dimensions of simple modules for all $p$-characters, and give lower bounds on these dimensions for homogeneous $p$-characters. We then develop the theory of baby Verma modules for homogeneous $p$-characters and, whenever the $p$-character has standard Levi type, we give a full classification of the simple modules. In particular we classify all simple modules with homogeneous $p$-characters for $\mathfrak{g}_m$ when $\mathfrak{g} = \mathfrak{gl}_n$. Finally, we compute the Cartan invariants for the restricted enveloping algebra $U_0(\mathfrak{g}_m)$ and show that they can be described by precise formulae depending on decomposition numbers for $U_0(\mathfrak{g})$.

Finally, by taking Frobenius fixed points, we are able to count the number of indecomposable representations of a modulated quiver overFq{\mathbb {F}}_qwith a given dimension vector and to generalize Kac’s theorem for all modulated quivers and their associated Kac–Moody algebras defined by symmetrizable generalized Cartan matrices.

Abstract:Let G=GL(N), K=GL(p)xGL(q), where p+q=N, and n be a positive integer. We construct a functor from the category of Harish-Chandra modules for the pair (G,K) to the category of representations of the degenerate affine Hecke algebra of type B_n, and a functor from the category of K-monodromic twisted D-modules on G/K to the category of representations of the degenerate double affine Hecke algebra of type BC_n; the second functor is an extension of the first one. These functors are generalizations of the type A functors from q-alg/9710037 and math/0702670, respectively.

Abstract:We study the category of finite--dimensional representations for a basic classical Lie superalgebra $\Lg=\Lg_0\oplus \Lg_1$. For the ortho--symplectic Lie superalgebra $\Lg=\mathfrak{osp}(1,2n)$ we show that certain objects in that category admit a fusion flag, i.e. a sequence of graded $\Lg_0[t]$--modules such that the successive quotients are isomorphic to fusion products. Among these objects we find fusion products of finite--dimensional irreducible $\Lg$--modules, truncated Weyl modules and Demazure type modules. Moreover, we establish a presentation for these types of fusion products in terms of generators and relations of the enveloping algebra.

A generic classification of locally free representations of affine GLS algebras

Abstract:Throughout, let $K$ be an algebraically closed field of characteristic $0$. We provide a generic classification of locally free representations of Geiss-Leclerc-Schröer's algebras $H_K(C,D,\Omega)$ associated to affine Cartan matrices $C$ with minimal symmetrizer $D$ and acyclic orientation $\Omega$. Affine GLS algebras are "smooth" degenerations of tame hereditary algebras and as such their representation theory is presumably still tractable. Indeed, we observe several "tame" phenomena of affine GLS algebras even though they are in general representation wild. For the GLS algebras of type $\tilde{BC}_1$, we achieve a classification of all stable representations. For general GLS algebras of affine type, we construct a $1$-parameter family of representations stable with respect to the defect. Our construction is based on a generalized one-point extension technique. This confirms in particular $\tau$-tilted versions of the second Brauer-Thrall Conjecture recently raised by Mousavand and Schroll-Treffinger-Valdivieso for the class of GLS algebras. Finally, we show that generically every locally free $H$-module is isomorphic to a direct sum of $\tau$-rigid modules and modules from our $1$-parameter family. This generalizes Kac's canonical decomposition from the symmetric to the symmetrizable case in affine types, and we obtain such a decomposition by "folding" the canonical decomposition of dimension vectors over path algebras. As a corollary we obtain that affine GLS algebras are $E$-tame in the sense of Derksen-Fei and Asai-Iyama.

Abstract:We determine the image of the braid groups inside the Temperley-Lieb algebras, defined over finite field, in the semisimple case, and for suitably large (but controlable) order of the defining (quantum) parameter. We also prove that, under natural conditions on this parameter, the representations of the Hecke algebras over a finite field are unitary for the action of the braid groups.

Abstract:Let ${\mathbb{TL}_n^{\! \mathbb Q}} $ be the rational Temperley-Lieb algebra, with loop parameter $ 2 $. In the first part of the paper we study the seminormal idempotents $ E_{ \mathfrak{t}} $ for ${\mathbb{TL}_n^{\! \mathbb Q}}$ for $ \mathfrak{t} $ running over two-column standard tableaux. Our main result is here a concrete combinatorial construction of $ E_{\mathfrak{t}} $ using Jones-Wenzl idempotents $ {\mathbf{JW}_{\! k}} $ for ${\mathbb{TL}_k^{\! \mathbb Q}}$ where $ k \le n $. In the second part of the paper we consider the Temperley-Lieb algebra ${\mathbb{TL}_n^{\! {\mathbb F}_p}}$ over the finite field $ {\mathbb F}_p$, where $ p>2$. The KLR-approach to ${\mathbb{TL}_n^{\! {\mathbb F}_p}}$ gives rise to an action of a symmetric group $ \mathfrak{S}_m$ on ${\mathbb{TL}_n^{\! {\mathbb F}_p}}$, for some $ m < n $. We show that the $ E_{ \mathfrak{t}} $'s from the first part of the paper are simultaneous eigenvectors for the associated Jucys-Murphy elements for $ \mathfrak{S}_m$. This leads to a KLR-interpretation of the $p$-Jones-Wenzl idempotent $ ^{p}\!{\mathbf{JW}_{\! n}} $ for ${\mathbb{TL}_n^{\! {\mathbb F}_p}}$, that was introduced recently by Burull, Libedinsky and Sentinelli.

Abstract:We define analogs of the Jucys-Murphy elements for the affine Temperley-Lieb algebra and give their explicit expansion in terms of the basis of planar Brauer diagrams. These Jucys-Murphy elements are a family of commuting elements in the affine Temperley-Lieb algebra, and we compute their eigenvalues on the generic irreducible representations. We show that they come from Jucys-Murphy elements in the affine Hecke algebra of type A, which in turn come from the Casimir element of the quantum group $U_h\mathfrak{gl}_n$. We also give the explicit specializations of these results to the finite Temperley-Lieb algebra.
