Abstract:Confirmation of accelerated expansion of the universe probed the concept of dark energy theory, and since then, numerous models have been introduced to explain its origin and nature. The present work is based on reconstructing dark energy by parametrization of the deceleration parameter in the FRW universe filled with radiation, dark matter, and dark energy. We have chosen some well-motivated parametrized models 1-3 in an attempt to investigate the energy density in terms of deceleration parameters by estimating the cosmological parameters with the help of different observational datasets. Also, we have introduced a new model 4 for the parametrization of the deceleration parameter. Then we analyzed the cosmography parameters using the best-fit values of the parameters. Using the information criteria, we have examined the viability of the models.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The main problem that this paper attempts to solve is to reconstruct dark energy by parameterizing the deceleration parameter ($q$) and study its behavior in the FLRW cosmological model. Specifically, the author selects several existing parameterized models (such as Wetterich - type, Barboza - Alcaniz - type, CPL - type) and a newly proposed model to explore the effectiveness and applicability of these models in describing the accelerated expansion process of the universe. ### Main objectives of the paper: 1. **Parameterize the deceleration parameter**: Introduce different parameterized forms to describe the deceleration parameter, in order to better understand the transition process of the universe from decelerated to accelerated expansion. 2. **Data fitting and analysis**: Use the latest astronomical observation data (such as cosmic chronometer data, Type Ia supernova data, baryon acoustic oscillation data) to constrain these parameterized models to evaluate their rationality and accuracy. 3. **Model comparison**: By comparing with the standard ΛCDM model, evaluate the performance of these new models in explaining the observation data, so as to determine which models can better describe the evolution process of the universe. ### Specific methods: - **Model selection**: Four parameterized models (Wetterich - type, Barboza - Alcaniz - type, CPL - type and the new model) are selected, and each model contains two unknown parameters. - **Data processing**: Use the Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) method to fit the model parameters to ensure the statistical reliability of the results. - **Comparison between theoretical predictions and observation data**: Evaluate the performance of the models by comparing the Hubble parameter ($H(z)$) and the distance modulus function ($\mu(z)$) predicted by the models with the actual observation data. ### Main conclusions: - **Model fitting**: All models can fit the observation data relatively well, but different models perform differently in certain redshift ranges. - **Parameter constraints**: By constraining the model parameters, the best - fit values of each model are obtained, which provides references for subsequent research. - **Model comparison**: Compared with the standard ΛCDM model, some parameterized models perform better in specific redshift ranges, showing certain advantages. Through these studies, the paper not only provides new insights into the properties of dark energy, but also provides valuable reference models for future cosmological research.
