Abstract:We work towards the classification of all one-dimensional exclusion processes with two species of particles that can be solved by a nested coordinate Bethe Ansatz. Using the Yang-Baxter equations, we obtain conditions on the model parameters that ensure that the underlying system is integrable. Three classes of integrable models are thus found. Of these, two classes are well known in literature, but the third has not been studied until recently, and never in the context of the Bethe ansatz. The Bethe equations are derived for the latter model as well as for the associated dynamics encoding the large deviation of the currents.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is to classify all one - dimensional two - species partially asymmetric exclusion processes (PASEP) that can be solved by the nested coordinate Bethe Ansatz method. Specifically, the author uses the Yang - Baxter equation to determine the model parameters to ensure that the underlying system is integrable. Three types of integrable models are found in the paper: 1. **Totally Asymmetric Simple Exclusion Process (TASEP)**: - Parameter conditions: \(x = 0\), \(\beta_{21}=0\) - Corresponding process: \[ 10 \xrightarrow{\alpha p_2} 01, \quad 20 \xrightarrow{p_2} 02, \quad 12 \xrightarrow{b_{12}} 21 \] - This is a completely asymmetric process, in which the first type of particle jumps at a rate of \(\alpha p_2\) and overtakes the second type of particle at a rate of \(b_{12}\). 2. **Partially Asymmetric Simple Exclusion Process (PASEP)**: - Parameter conditions: \(\alpha = 1\), \(\beta_{12}=1\), \(\beta_{21}=x\) - Corresponding process: \[ 10 \xleftrightarrow{p_2} 01, \quad 20 \xleftrightarrow{p_2} 02, \quad 12 \xleftrightarrow{p_2} 21 \] - This is a partially asymmetric process. The two types of particles jump at the same rate. The first type of particle can overtake the second type of particle, but does not distinguish between the second type of particle and the vacancy. 3. **Partially Asymmetric Simple Exclusion Process with a single first - type defective particle**: - Parameter conditions: \(\beta_{12}=\alpha\), \(\beta_{21}=\frac{x}{\alpha}\), \(M_1 = 1\) - Corresponding process: \[ 10 \xleftrightarrow{\alpha p_2} \frac{q_2}{\alpha} 01, \quad 20 \xleftrightarrow{p_2} 02, \quad 12 \xleftrightarrow{\alpha p_2} \frac{q_2}{\alpha} 21 \] - This is a partially asymmetric process, in which there is only one first - type defective particle, which jumps at rates of \(\alpha p_2\) and \(\frac{q_2}{\alpha}\), and overtakes the second type of particle at the usual jump rate. The paper also derives the Bethe equations of these models and studies the third - type model in particular detail. This is a model that has only recently attracted attention. Through the Bethe Ansatz method, statistical properties such as current fluctuations in these models can be further calculated.
