Abstract:In this paper we describe the rise of global operators in the scaled quaternionic case, an important extension from the quaternionic case to the family of scaled hypercomplex numbers , of which the is the space of quaternions and is the space of split quaternions. We also describe the scaled Fueter-type variables associated to these operators, developing a coherent theory in this field. We use these types of variables to build different types of function spaces on . Counterparts of the Hardy space and of the Arveson space are also introduced and studied in the present setting. The two different adjoints in the scaled hypercomplex numbers lead to two parallel cases in each instance. Finally we introduce and study the notion of rational function.

Quaternionic projective invariance of the k-Cauchy-Fueter complex and applications I

Abstract:The k-Cauchy-Fueter complex in quaternionic analysis is the counterpart of the Dolbeault complex in complex analysis. In this paper, we find the explicit transformation formula of these complexes under SL(n+1,ℍ), which acts on ℍ^ n as quaternionic fractional linear transformations. These transformation formulae have several interesting applications to k-regular functions, the quaternionic counterpart of holomorphic functions, and geometry of domains. They allow us to construct the k-Cauchy-Fueter complex over locally projective flat manifolds explicitly and introduce various notions of pluripotential theory on this kind of manifolds. We also introduce a quaternionic projectively invariant operator from the quaternionic Monge-Ampère operator, which can be used to find projectively invariant defining density of a domain, generalizing Fefferman's construction in complex analysis.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper, is to study and investigate a larger class of operators than the Fredholm ones, is the so-called, generalized Fredholm operators, in a right quaternionic separable Hilbert space with a left multiplication defined on it. More explicitly, we first prove some auxiliary results , in the quaternionic setting, that are needed in the development of this paper. After that, we prove that some special classes of operators are generalized Fredholm ones, and we establish a characterization of the generalized Fredholm operators in a specific quotient algebra. The obtained results leads to the study of the invariance of the generalized Fredholm S-spectrum of a bounded right linear operator defined on a right quaternionic separable Hilbert space under a finite-rank commuting operator.

Abstract:We extend the quantum geometric tensor from the state space to the operator level,and investigate its properties like the additivity for factorizable models and the splitting of two kinds contributions for the case of stationary reference states. This operator-quantum-geometric tensor (OQGT) is shown to reflect the sensitivity of unitary operations against perturbations of multi parameters. General results for the cases of time evolutions with given stationary reference states are obtained. By this approach, we get exact results for the rotated XY models, and show relations between the OQGT and quantum criticality.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate quaternionic analysis on the $$(4n+1)$$-dimensional Heisenberg group. The tangential k-Cauchy–Fueter operator and k-CF functions are counterparts of the tangential Cauchy–Riemann operator and CR functions on the Heisenberg group in the theory of several complex variables, respectively. We give the Penrose integral formula for k-CF functions and establish the Bochner–Martinelli formula for the tangential k-Cauchy–Fueter operator. We also construct the tangential k-Cauchy–Fueter complex.

Abstract:We extend some definitions and give new results about the theory of slice analysis in several quaternionic variables. The sets of slice functions which are respectively slice, slice regular and circular w.r.t. given variables are characterized. We introduce new notions of partial spherical values and derivative for functions of several variables that extend those of one variable. We recover some of their properties and find new ones. Finally, we prove a generalization of Fueter's Theorem in this context.

Complex Analysis and Operator Theory

Abstract:In this paper we aim to combine tools from variational calculus with modern techniques from quaternionic analysis that involve Dirac type operators and related hypercomplex integral operators. The aim is to develop new methods for showing geometry independent explicit global existence and uniqueness criteria as well as new computational methods with special focus to the stationary incompressible viscous magnetohydrodynamic equations. We first show how to specifically apply variational calculus in the quaternionic setting. To this end we explain how the mountain pass theorem can be successfully applied to guarantee the existence of (weak) solutions. To achieve this, the quaternionic integral operator calculus serves as a key ingredient allowing us to apply Schauder's fixed point theorem. The advantage of the approach using Schauder's fixed point theorem is that it is also applicable to large data since it does not require any kind of contraction property. These considerations will allow us to provide explicit iterative algorithms for its numerical solution. Finally to obtain more precise a-priori estimates one can use in the situations dealing with small data the Banach fixed point theorem which then also grants the uniqueness.

Abstract:The tangential k-Cauchy-Fueter operator and the k-CF functions on the quaternionic Heisenberg group are quaternionic counterparts of the tangential CR operator and CR functions on the Heisenberg group in the theory of several complex valuables. We use the group Fourier transform on the quaternionic Heisenberg group to analyze the operator square(b) associated the tangential k-Cauchy-Fueter operator and to construct its kernel, from which we get the Szeg kernel of the orthogonal projection from the space of L-2 functions to the space of L-2 integrable k-CF functions on the quaternionic Heisenberg group.

Abstract:The Cauchy–Fueter operator on the quaternionic space Hn induces the tangential Cauchy–Fueter operator on the boundary of a domain. The quaternionic Heisenberg group is a standard model of the boundaries. By using the Penrose transformation associated to a double fibration of homogeneous spaces of Sp(2N,C), we construct an exact sequence on the quaternionic Heisenberg group, the tangential k-Cauchy–Fueter complex, resolving the tangential k-Cauchy–Fueter operator Q0(k). Q0(1) is the tangential Cauchy–Fueter operator. The complex gives the compatible conditions under which the non-homogeneous tangential k-Cauchy–Fueter equations Q0(k)u=f are solvable. The operators in this complex are left invariant differential operators on the quaternionic Heisenberg group. This is a quaternionic version of ∂¯b-complex on the Heisenberg group in the theory of several complex variables.
A quaternionic proportional fractional Fueter-type operator calculus

Abstract:The main goal of this paper is to construct a proportional analogues of the quaternionic fractional Fueter-type operator recently introduced in the literature. We start by establishing a quaternionic version of the well-known proportional fractional integral and derivative with respect to a real-valued function via the Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative. As a main result, we prove a quaternionic proportional fractional Borel-Pompeiu formula based on a quaternionic proportional fractional Stokes formula. This tool in hand allows us to present a Cauchy integral type formula for the introduced quaternionic proportional fractional Fueter-type operator with respect to a real-valued function.

Abstract:Many fundamental results of pluripotential theory on the quaternionic space $${\mathbb {H}}^n$$ are extended to the Heisenberg group. We introduce notions of a plurisubharmonic function, the quaternionic Monge–Ampère operator, differential operators $$d_0$$ and $$d_1$$ and a closed positive current on the Heisenberg group. The quaternionic Monge–Ampère operator is the coefficient of $$ (d_0d_1u)^n$$ . We establish the Chern–Levine–Nirenberg type estimate, the existence of quaternionic Monge–Ampère measure for a continuous quaternionic plurisubharmonic function and the minimum principle for the quaternionic Monge–Ampère operator. Unlike the tangential Cauchy–Riemann operator $$ {\overline{\partial }}_b $$ on the Heisenberg group which behaves badly as $$ \partial _b{\overline{\partial }}_b\ne -{\overline{\partial }}_b\partial _b $$ , the quaternionic counterpart $$d_0$$ and $$d_1$$ satisfy $$ d_0d_1=-d_1d_0 $$ . This is the main reason that we have a good theory for the quaternionic Monge–Ampère operator than $$ (\partial _b{\overline{\partial }}_b)^n$$ .

Abstract:The Cauchy–Fueter complex is the counterpart of the Dolbeault complex in the theory of several quaternionic variables. By using the fundamental solution to the Laplacian operators of fourth order associated to this differential complex on Hn, we can solve the system of non-homogeneous Cauchy–Fueter equations and prove the Hartogs’ extension phenomenon for quaternionic regular functions on any domain. The quaternionic version of Bochner–Martinelli integral representation formula for H-valued functions is also given.

Abstract: We clarify the linear algebra used in the quaternionic pluripotential theory so that proofs of several results there can be greatly simplified. In particular, we characterize and normalize real $2$-forms with respect to the quaternionic structure, and show that the Moore determinant of a quaternionic hyperhermitian matrix is the coefficient of the exterior product of the associated real $2$-form. As a corollary, the quaternionic Monge-Amp\`{e}re operator is the coefficient of the exterior product of the Baston operator.

Abstract:Many aspects of pluripotential theory are generalized to quaternionic m-subharmonic functions. We introduce quaternionic version of notions of the m-Hessian operator, m-subharmonic functions, m-Hessian measure, m-capacity, the relative m-extremal function, and the m-Lelong number, and show various propositions for them, based on d_0 , d_1 operators, as quaternionic counterpart of ∂ , ∂ , and quaternionic closed positive currents. The comparison principle and the quasicontinuity of quaternionic m-subharmonic functions are established. The definition of quaternionic m-Hessian operator can be extended to locally bounded quaternionic m-subharmonic functions and the corresponding convergence theorem is proved. We also find the fundamental solution of the quaternionic m-Hessian operator.
A unified theory of regular functions of a hypercomplex variable

Abstract:This work proposes a unified theory of regularity in one hypercomplex variable: the theory of $T$-regular functions. In the special case of quaternion-valued functions of one quaternionic variable, this unified theory comprises Fueter-regular functions, slice-regular functions and a recently-discovered function class. In the special case of Clifford-valued functions of one paravector variable, it encompasses monogenic functions, slice-monogenic functions, generalized partial-slice monogenic functions, and a variety of function classes not yet considered in literature. For $T$-regular functions over an associative $*$-algebra, this work provides integral formulas, series expansions, an Identity Principle, a Maximum Modulus Principle and a Representation Formula. It also proves some foundational results about $T$-regular functions over an alternative but nonassociative $*$-algebra, such as the real algebra of octonions.

Abstract:We present two novel solutions of real Hilbert state quaternionic quantum mechanics ($\mathbb H$QM). Firstly, we observe that the angular momentum operator admits two different classes of physically non-equivalent free particles. As a second result, we study the Larmor precession to observe that it has a quaternionic solution where a novel phenomenological interpretation is possible, as well as a different of spin is possible, and these results may encourage experimental and theoretical investigations of the quaternionic theory.
