Abstract:The main purpose of this paper is to provide a second cohomology group of a (metric) Hom-Jacobi algebra with coefficients in a given representation. Moreover, we show that second cohomology group classifies abelian extensions of a (metric) Hom-Jacobi algebra algebra by a representation.

Abstract:In this paper we study cohomology and deformations of Jacobi-Jordan algebras. We develop their formal deformation theory. In particular, we introduce a method to construct a versal deformation for a given Jacobi-Jordan algebra, which can induce all deformations and is unique on the infinitesimal level. We construct formal 1-parameter deformations of Jacobi-Jordan algebras up to dimension 5 and versal deformations for 3-dimensional Jacobi-Jordan algebras.

Abstract:Representations of Hom-Jacobi-Jordan algebras are studied. In particular, adjoint representations and trivial representations are studied in detail. Derivations and central extensions of Hom-Jacobi-Jordan algebras are also discussed as an application. Morover, we introduce the cohomology theory on Hom-Jacobi-Jordan algebras as well as the one of relative Rota-Baxter operators on Hom-Jacobi-Jordan algebras. Finally, we use the cohomological approach to study deformations of Hom-Jacobi-Jordan algebras and those of relative Rota-Baxter operators.

Abstract:The main purpose of this paper is to introduce and investigate the notion of Jacobi-Jordan conformal algebra. They are a generalization of Jacobi-Jordan algebras which correspond to the case in which the formal parameter lambda equals 0. We consider some related structures such as conformal modules, corresponding representations and O-operators. Therefore, conformal derivations from Jacobi-Jordan conformal algebras to their conformal modules are used to describe conformal derivations of Jacobi-Jordan conformal algebras of semidirect product type. Moreover, we study a class of Jacobi-Jordan conformal algebras called quadratic Jacobi-Jordan conformal algebras, which are characterized by mock-Gel'fand Dorfman bialgebras. Finally, the C[delta]-split extending structures problem for Jacobi-Jordan conformal algebras is studied. Furthermore, we introduce an unified product of a given Jacobi-Jordan conformal algebra $J$ and a given C[delta]-module K. This product includes some other interesting products of Jacobi-Jordan conformal algebras such as twisted product or crossed product. Using this product, a cohomological type object is constructed to provide a theoretical answer to the C[delta]-split extending structures problem.

Extension realizing affine datum: low-dimensional cohomology

Abstract:For arbitrary varieties of universal algebras, we develop the theory around the first and second-cohomology groups characterizing extensions realizing affine datum. Restricted to varieties with a weak-difference term, extensions realizing affine datum are exactly extensions with abelian kernels. This recovers many classic examples of extensions with abelian coefficients since varieties with a weak-difference term give a far-reaching generalization of algebras like groups with multiple operators; indeed, any variety of algebras whose congruences form modular lattices. We introduce a notion of action and its model relation with a set of equations. In varieties with a difference term, central extensions are characterized by a property of their actions. Restricting further to a subclass of varieties with a difference term which still includes groups with multiple operators, we recover a special case of the representation of extensions with abelian kernels.

Abstract:We study the relationship between cyclic homology of Jordan superalgebras and second cohomologies of their Tits-Kantor-Koecher Lie superalgebras. In particular, we focus on Jordan superalgebras that are Kantor doubles of bracket algebras. The obtained results are applied to computation of second cohomologies and universal central extensions of Hamiltonian and contact type Lie superalgebras over arbitrary rings of coefficients.

Abstract:We consider a category of continuous Hilbert space representations and a category of smooth Frechet representations, of a real Jacobi group $G$. By Mackey's theory, they are respectively equivalent to certain categories of representations of a real reductive group $\widetilde L$. Within these categories, we show that the two functors of taking smooth vectors for $G$, and for $\widetilde L$, are consistent with each other. By using Casselman-Wallach's theory of smooth representations of real reductive groups, we define matrix coefficients for distributional vectors of certain representations of $G$. We also formulate Gelfand-Kazhdan criteria for Jacobi groups which could be used to prove the multiplicity one theorem for Fourier-Jacobi models.
Curvatures of metric Jordan algebras

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate metric Jordan algebras, and follow the lines of the paper (J. Milnor: Curvatures of left invariant metrics on Lie groups. Adv. Math. (1976)). Firstly, we define the Jordan-Levi-Civita connection, then we show that every metric Jordan algebra admits a unique Jordan-Levi-Civita connection. Secondly, using the Jordan-Levi-Civita connection, we introduce three natural curvature tensors on metric Jordan algebras, and obtain the corresponding curvature formulas. Thirdly, based on these curvature formulas, we prove that every formally real Jordan algebra admits both a metric of non-positive Jordan curvature, and a Jordan-Einstein metric of negative Jordan scalar curvature. Besides, for nilpotent Jordan algebras, we prove that they admit no Jordan-Einstein metrics.

Abstract:The notion of non-abelian Hom-Leibniz tensor product is introduced and some properties are established. This tensor product is used in the description of the universal ($\alpha$-)central extensions of Hom-Leibniz algebras. We also give its application to the Hochschild homology of Hom-associative algebras.

Abstract:We introduce the notion of cosymplectic structure on Jacobi-Jordan algebras, and we state that they are related to symplectic Jacobi-Jordan algebras. We show, in particular, that they support a right-skew-symmetric product. We also study the double extension constructions of cosymplectic Jacobi-Jordan algebras and give a complete classification in dimension five.

Abstract:The paper concerns the cohomology of (multiplicative) BiHom-associative trialgebras. We first detail the correspondence between central extensions and second cohomology. This is followed by a general cohomology theory that unifies those of BiHom-associative algebras and associative trialgebras. Finally, we introduce one-parameter formal deformations and classify generalized $\alpha\beta$-derivations of 3-dimensional BiHom-associative trialgebras.

Extensions of tautological rings and motivic structures in the cohomology of $\overline{\mathcal{M}}_{g,n}$

Abstract:We study collections of subrings of $H^*(\overline{\mathcal{M}}_{g,n})$ that are closed under the tautological operations that map cohomology classes on moduli spaces of smaller dimension to those on moduli spaces of larger dimension and contain the tautological subrings. Such extensions of tautological rings are well-suited for inductive arguments and flexible enough for a wide range of applications. In particular, we confirm predictions of Chenevier and Lannes for the $\ell$-adic Galois representations and Hodge structures that appear in $H^k(\overline{\mathcal{M}}_{g,n})$ for $k = 13$, $14$, and $15$. We also show that $H^4(\overline{\mathcal{M}}_{g,n})$ is generated by tautological classes for all $g$ and $n$, confirming a prediction of Arbarello and Cornalba from the 1990s. In order to establish the final bases cases needed for the inductive proofs of our main results, we use Mukai's construction of canonically embedded pentagonal curves of genus 7 as linear sections of an orthogonal Grassmannian and a decomposition of the diagonal to show that the pure weight cohomology of $\mathcal{M}_{7,n}$ is generated by algebraic cycle classes, for $n \leq 3$.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduced the notion of Hom-Lie antialgebras. The representations and cohomology theory of Hom-Lie antialgebras are investigated. We prove that the equivalent classes of abelian extensions of Hom-Lie antialgebras are in one-to-one correspondence to elements of the second cohomology group. We also prove that 1-parameter infinitesimal deformation of a Hom-Lie antialgebra are characterized by 2-cocycles of this Hom-Lie antialgebra with adjoint representation in itself. The notion of Nijenhuis operators of Hom-Lie antialgebra is introduced to describe trivial deformations.

Abstract:In this paper we study the second Hochschild cohomology group HH2(Λ) of a finite dimensional algebra Λ. In particular, we determine HH2(Λ) where Λ is a finite dimensional self-injective algebra of finite representation type over an algebraically closed field K and show that this group is zero for most such Λ; we give a basis for HH2(Λ) in the few cases where it is not zero.

Abstract:Arbitrary connections on a generic Hopf algebra $H$ are studied and shown to extend to connections on tensor fields. On this ground a general definition of metric compatible connection is proposed. This leads to a sufficient criterion for the existence and uniqueness of the Levi-Civita connection, that of invertibility of an $H$-valued matrix. Provided invertibility for one metric, existence and uniqueness of the Levi-Civita connection for all metrics conformal to the initial one is proven. This class consists of metrics which are neither central (bimodule maps) nor equivariant, in general. For central and bicoinvariant metrics the invertibility condition is further simplified to a metric independent one. Examples include metrics on $SL_q(2)$.

Abstract:We introduce a criterion on the presentation of finitely presented pro-$p$ groups which allows us to compute their cohomology groups and infer quotients of mild groups of cohomological dimension strictly larger than two. Abstract:Motivated by classical Alexander invariants of affine hypersurface complements, we endow certain finite dimensional quotients of the homology of abelian covers of complex algebraic varieties with a canonical and functorial mixed Hodge structure (MHS). More precisely, we focus on covers which arise algebraically in the following way: if $U$ is a smooth connected complex algebraic variety and $G$ is a complex semiabelian variety, the pullback of the exponential map by an algebraic morphism $f:U\to G$ yields a covering space $\pi:U^f\to U$ whose group of deck transformations is $\pi_1(G)$. The new MHSs are compatible with Deligne's MHS on the homology of $U$ through the covering map $\pi$ and satisfy a direct sum decomposition as MHSs into generalized eigenspaces by the action of deck transformations. This provides a vast generalization of the previous results regarding univariable Alexander modules by Geske, Maxim, Wang and the authors. Lastly, we reduce the problem of whether the first Betti number of the Milnor fiber of a central hyperplane arrangement complement is combinatorial to a question about the Hodge filtration of certain MHSs defined in this paper, providing evidence that the new structures contain interesting information.

Abstract:In this paper we determine the second Hochschild cohomology group for a class of self-injective algebras of tame representation type namely, those which are standard one-parametric but not weakly symmetric. These were classifed up to derived equivalence by Bocian, Holm and Skowro\'nski. We connect this to the deformation of these algebras.
