Abstract:We study an isotropic flat FLRW-model in Scale-covariant theory of gravity $ f_{\gamma \delta}(\phi) $ \cite{Canuto:1977zz} which is explained in terms of ordinary and covariant differentiation of scalar field $ \phi $. As we know the deceleration parameter is time-dependent, so we consider the deceleration parameter $ q $ as the function of $ t $. Using this methodology, we find all the important cosmological factors in terms of a hyperbolic function of the cosmic time $ t $. In turn, we create the model having the behavior of the late-time universe, which is ever accelerated expanding and faces a Big Freeze at the end. The model shows the quintessence dark energy model from early to late times. We compute the constrained values of Hubble parameter $ H_0=70.979^{+0.021}_{-0.0043} $ and the model parameter $ n=1.24079^{+0.00015}_{-0.00079} $ using joint analysis of the $ OHD $ data of 77-points and Pantheon bin data. The model exhibits point-type singularity, beginning with a point of zero volume, infinite energy density, and temperature. Furthermore, we obtain the present deceleration parameter $ (q_0) \approx {-0.54} $. Also, we examine the ultimate behavior of our model by properly analyzing energy conditions, cosmographical parameters, and Statefinder diagnostic. Finally, the proposed model behaves like a quintessence dark energy model.
What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is, within the Scale - covariant theoretical framework, to explore the mechanism of the late - time accelerated expansion of the universe by studying an isotropic flat FLRW model, and to analyze the behavioral characteristics of this model on different time scales. Specifically, the paper focuses on how to use hyperbolic functions to represent the cosmological factor and construct a model that can describe the current accelerated expansion of the universe and will eventually face the "Big Freeze". In addition, the paper also attempts to constrain the model parameters through observational data, verify the validity of the model, and evaluate the feasibility of the model through energy conditions, cosmological parameters, and Statefinder diagnostics.
The main contributions of the paper are as follows:
1. **Model construction**: A cosmological model based on Scale - covariant theory is proposed. This model can explain the current accelerated expansion phenomenon of the universe and predict the future evolution trend.
2. **Parameter constraint**: The model parameters are strictly constrained using OHD (Observed Hubble Data), the Pantheon data set, and their combined data set, and the best - fit values of the Hubble parameter \(H_0\) and the model parameter \(n\) are obtained.
3. **Model verification**: Through energy conditions, cosmological parameters, and Statefinder diagnostics, the rationality and validity of the model in describing the evolution process of the universe are verified.
4. **Physical property analysis**: The physical properties of the model are analyzed in detail, including the changes of density parameters, pressure, and equation - of - state parameters with redshift, which further supports the rationality of the model.
Through these works, the paper not only provides a new theoretical framework to explain the accelerated expansion of the universe but also provides important references and guidance for future research.
