Abstract:Let $\Omega$ be a nonempty, open and convex subset of $\mathbb{R}^{n}$. The Paley-Wiener space with respect to $\Omega$ is defined to be the closed subspace of $L^{2}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$ of functions with Fourier transform supported in $2\Omega$. For a tempered distribution $\phi$ we define a Hankel operator to be the densely defined operator: $$\widehat{H_{\phi}f}(x)=\int_{\Omega}\widehat{f}(y)\widehat{\phi}(x+y)dy,\text{ for $x\in\Omega$}.$$ We say that the Nehari theorem is true for $\Omega$, if every bounded Hankel operator is generated by a bounded function. In this paper we prove that the Nehari theorem fails for any convex set in $\mathbb{R}^{n}$ that has infinitely many extreme points. In particular, it fails for all convex bounded sets which are not polytopes. Furthermore, in the setting of $R^{2}$, it fails for all non-polyhedral sets, bounded or unbounded.

Abstract:We examine how the square-integrable function subspaces are transformed using the holomorphic Fourier transform. On account of this, the extended Paley-Wiener theorem over the Hardy-Sobolev spaces is produced. The theorem also asserts that the reproducing kernel of the Hardy-Sobolev spaces can be found. Abstract:We consider Schatten class membership of multi-parameter Hankel operators on the Paley--Wiener space of a bounded convex domain $\Omega$. For admissible domains, we develop a framework and theory of Besov spaces of Paley--Wiener type. We prove that a Hankel operator belongs to the Schatten class $S^p$ if and only if its symbol belongs to a corresponding Besov space, for $1 \leq p \leq 2$. For smooth domains $\Omega$ with positive curvature, we extend this result to $1 \leq p < 4$, and for simple polytopes to the full range $1 \leq p < \infty$.

Abstract:In this paper we study spaces of holomorphic functions on the Siegel upper half-space $\mathcal U$ and prove Paley-Wiener type theorems for such spaces. The boundary of $\mathcal U$ can be identified with the Heisenberg group $\mathbb H_n$. Using the group Fourier transform on $\mathbb H_n$, Ogden-Vagi proved a Paley-Wiener theorem for the Hardy space $H^2(\mathcal U)$. We consider a scale of Hilbert spaces on $\mathcal U$ that includes the Hardy space, the weighted Bergman spaces, the weighted Dirichlet spaces, and in particular the Drury-Arveson space, and the Dirichlet space $\mathcal D$. For each of these spaces, we prove a Paley-Wiener theorem, some structure theorems, and provide some applications. In particular we prove that the norm of the Dirichlet space modulo constants $\dot{\mathcal D}$ is the unique Hilbert space norm that is invariant under the action of the group of automorphisms of $\mathcal U$.

Abstract:An iterated Neumann boundary value problem for the polyanalytic operator is investigated in the unit disc of the complex plane. Although this problem can be treated for domains in the complex plane having a harmonic Green function, the unit disk is particularly interesting as it is the origin of complex boundary value problems and the prototype of simply connected domains. Moreover, the resulting formulas for solutions and for solvability conditions are expressed by integral formulas with explicit kernels. By the way, the result verifies the findings for domains with harmonic Green function.

Abstract:This paper systematically investigates Paley-Wiener-type theorems in the context of hypercomplex variables. To this end, we introduce and study the so-called generalized Bernstein spaces endowed by the fractional Dirac operator $D_{\alpha}^{\theta}$ - a space-fractional operator of order $\alpha$ and skewness $\theta$, encompassing the Dirac operator $D$. We will show that such family of function spaces seamlessly characterizes the interplay between Clifford-valued $L^p-$functions satisfying the support condition $\mathrm{supp}\ \widehat{f}\subseteq B(0,R)$, and the solutions of the Cauchy problems endowed by the space-time operator $\partial_{x_0}+D_\theta^\alpha$ that are of exponential type $R^\alpha$. Such construction allows us to generalize, in a meaningful way, the results obtained by Kou and Qian (2002) and Franklin, Hogan and Larkin (2017). Noteworthy, the exploitation of the well-known Kolmogorov-Stein inequalities to hypercomplex variables permits us to make the computation of the maximal radius $R$ for which $\mathrm{supp}\ \widehat{f}$ is compactly supported in $B(0,R)$ rather explicit.

Abstract:Extensions of the Hardy and the Bergman modules over the disc algebra are studied. The author relates extensions of these canonical modules to the symbol spaces of corresponding Hankel operators. In the context of function theory, an explicit formula of Ext(L α 2 (D), H 2(D)) is obtained. Finally, it is also proved that Ext(L α 2 (D), L α 2 (D)) ≠ 0. This may be the essential difference between the Hardy and the Bergman modules over the disk algebra.

Abstract:For a Hermitian holomorphic vector bundle over a Hermitian manifold, we consider the Dolbeault Laplacian with $\overline\partial$-Neumann boundary conditions, which is a self-adjoint operator on the space of square-integrable differential forms with values in the given holomorphic bundle. We argue that some known results on the spectral properties of this operator on pseudoconvex domains in $\mathbb C^n$ continue to hold on K\"ahler manifolds satisfying certain bounded geometry assumptions. In particular, we will consider the Dolbeault complex for forms with values in a line bundle, where known results from magnetic Schr\"odinger operator theory can be applied.

Abstract:The boundedness of the small Hankel operator $h^\omega_{f}(g)=\overline{P_\omega}(fg)$ induced by a measurable symbol $f$ and the Bergman projection $P_\omega$ associated to a radial weight $\omega$ acting from the weighted Bergman space $A^p_\omega$ to its conjugate analytic counterpart $\overline{A^p_\omega}$ is characterized on the range $1<p<\infty$ when $\omega$ belongs to the class $\mathcal{D}$ of radial weights admitting certain two-sided doubling conditions. On the way to the proof a sharp integral estimate for certain modified Bergman kernels is obtained.

Abstract:We give a complete characterization of Schatten class Hankel operators H f H_f acting on weighted Segal-Bargmann spaces F 2 ( φ ) F^2(\varphi ) using the notion of integral distance to analytic functions in C n \mathbb {C}^n and Hörmander’s ∂ ̄ \bar \partial -theory. Using our characterization, for f ∈ L ∞ f\in L^\infty and 1 > p > ∞ 1>p>\infty , we prove that H f H_f is in the Schatten class S p S_p if and only if H f ̄ ∈ S p H_{\bar {f}}\in S_p , which was previously known only for the Hilbert-Schmidt class S 2 S_2 of the standard Segal-Bargmann space F 2 ( φ ) F^2(\varphi ) with φ ( z ) = α | z | 2 \varphi (z) = \alpha |z|^2 .

Abstract:In this paper we deal with the problem of describing the dual space $(B^1_\kappa)^*$ of the Bernstein space $B^1_\kappa$, that is the space of entire functions of exponential type at most $\kappa>0$ whose restriction to the real line is Lebesgue integrable. We provide several characterisations, showing that such dual space can be described as a quotient of the space of entire functions of exponential type $\kappa$ whose restrictions to the real line is Lebesgue integrable. We provide several characterisations, showing that such dual space can be described as a quotient of the space of entire functions of exponential type $\kappa$ whose restrictions to the real line is in a suitable $BMO$-type space, or as the space of symbols $b$ for which the Hankel operatorc $H_b$ is bounded on the Paley-Wiener space $B^2_{\kappa/2}$. We also provide a characterisation of $(B^1_\kappa)^*$ as the $BMO$ space w.r.t. the Clark measure of the inner function $e^{i\kappa z}$ on the upper half-plane, in analogy with the known description of the dual of backward-shift invariant $1$-spaces on the torus. Furthermore, we show that the orthogonal projection $P_\kappa\ : L^2(R)\to B^2_\kappa$ induces a bounded operator from $L^\infty(R)$ onto $(B^1_\kappa)^*$. Finally, we show that $B^1_\kappa$ is the dual space of the suitable $VMO$-type space or as the space of symbols $b$ for which the Hankel opertor $H_b$ on the Paley-Wiener space $B^2_{k/2}$ is compact.

Abstract:This paper conducts a geometric analysis of the Joint-Eigenspace Fourier transform of the symmetric space of the non-compact type. Our study shows how the Poisson transform builds up the well-known Helgason Fourier transform for an analysis of the complete duality of the underlying symetric space. Among other results, we establish an inversion formula, a Plancherel formula and (as our main result) a Paley-Wiener theorem for the Joint-Eigenspace Fourier transform on any noncompact symmetric space.

Abstract:A classical problem posed in 1992 by Huijsmans and de Pagter asks whether, for every positive operator on a Banach lattice with spectrum , the inequality holds true. While the problem remains unsolved in its entirety, a positive solution is known in finite dimensions. In the broader context of ordered Banach spaces, Drnovšek provided an infinite-dimensional counterexample. In this note, we demonstrate the existence of finite-dimensional counterexamples, specifically on the ice cream cone and on a polyhedral cone in . On the other hand, taking inspiration from the notion of -isometries, we establish that each counterexample must contain a Jordan block of size at least .

Abstract:Using the notion of integral distance to analytic functions, we give a characterization of Schatten class Hankel operators acting on doubling Fock spaces on the complex plane and use it to show that for $f\in L^{\infty}$, if $H_{f}$ is Hilbert-Schmidt, then so is $H_{\bar{f}}$. This property is known as the Berger-Coburn phenomenon. When $0<p\le 1$, we show that the Berger-Coburn phenomenon fails for a large class of doubling Fock spaces.
