Abstract:Let $ G $ be a connected, semisimple real algebraic group and $\Gamma < G$ be a Zariski dense discrete subgroup. Let $N$ denote a maximal horospherical subgroup of $G$, and $P=MAN$ the minimal parabolic subgroup which is the normalizer of $N$. Let $\mathcal{E}$ denote the unique $P$-minimal subset of $\Gamma \backslash G$ and let $\mathcal{E}_0$ be a $P^\circ$-minimal subset. We consider a notion of a horospherical limit point in the Furstenberg boundary $ G/P $ and show that the following are equivalent for any $[g]\in \mathcal{E}_0$: (1) $gP\in G/P$ is a horospherical limit point; (2) $[g]NM$ is dense in $\mathcal{E}$; (3) $[g]N$ is dense in $\mathcal{E}_0$. The equivalence of (1) and (2) is due to Dal'bo in the rank one case. We also observe that unlike convex cocompact groups of rank one Lie groups, the $NM$-minimality of $\mathcal{E}$ does not hold in a general Anosov homogeneous space.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is in high - rank homogeneous spaces, regarding the properties of horospherical limit points and their relationship with the denseness of certain orbits. Specifically, the authors explore the existence and properties of horospherical limit points in the context of a given semisimple real algebraic group \(G\) and its Zariski - dense discrete subgroup \(\Gamma\), and how these points affect the denseness of \(N\)-orbits and \(NM\)-orbits in the \(\Gamma\backslash G\) space. ### Main research questions: 1. **Definition and properties of Horospherical limit points**: The paper introduces a new concept of horospherical limit points, which is applicable to the high - rank case, and discusses the basic properties of these points. 2. **Orbit denseness**: The authors study the relationship between horospherical limit points and the denseness of \(N\)-orbits and \(NM\)-orbits in the high - rank case. In particular, they prove that for any \([g]\in E_0\), the following conditions are equivalent: - \(gP\in\Lambda_h\) (that is, \(gP\) is a horospherical limit point); - \([g]N\) is dense in \(E_0\); - \([g]NM\) is dense in \(E\). ### Key conclusions: - **Equivalence theorem**: The paper proves that in high - rank homogeneous spaces, there is an equivalence relationship between the existence of horospherical limit points and the denseness of \(N\)-orbits and \(NM\)-orbits. This result extends Dal’bo's theorem in the rank - one case. - **Directional horospherical limit points**: The paper also introduces the concept of directional horospherical limit points and proves that every horospherical limit point is a directional horospherical limit point in all directions \(u\in\text{int }L\). - **Existence of non - dense orbits**: The paper provides an example to show that even in the case of Anosov subgroups, there exist non - dense \(NM\)-orbits. ### Significance: This research deepens the understanding of the behavior of dynamical systems in high - rank homogeneous spaces, especially in terms of horospherical limit points and orbit denseness. This is of great significance for the study of discrete subgroups of Lie groups, the dynamics of homogeneous spaces, and further research in related fields.
