Abstract:In the present work we give some sufficient conditions to obtain a unique almost automorphic solution to abstract nonlinear integral equations which are simultaneously of advanced and delayed type and also a unique asymptotically almost automorphic mild solution to abstract integro-differential equations with nonlocal initial conditions, both situations are posed on Banach spaces. Also, we develop a Bohr-Neugebauer type result for the abstract integral equations. Before that, we introduce the notion of $\lambda$-bounded functions, develop the appropriate abstract theory and discuss the almost periodic situation. As applications, we study the existence of an asymptotically almost automorphic solution to integro-differential equations modeling heat conduction in materials with memory and also the existence of the almost automorphic solution to semilinear parabolic evolution equations with finite delay.

Abstract:In the present work, we revisit several structural properties of almost automorphic and compact almost automorphic functions from the Euclidean space ( ) with values in a Banach space . When is a Banach algebra, it is proven that the spaces formed by these functions are also Banach algebras. As applications, first we prove regularity of almost automorphic solution of Poisson's equation; that is, we prove that bounded continuous functions with weak (distributional) almost automorphic Laplacian are compact almost automorphic; then, we prove the compact almost automorphy in space variable of classical solutions to heat equation with almost automorphic initial datum.

Almost Symmetric Schur Functions

Abstract:We introduce and study a generalization $s_{(\mu|\lambda)}$ of the Schur functions called the almost symmetric Schur functions. These functions simultaneously generalize the finite variable key polynomials and the infinite variable Schur functions. They form a homogeneous basis for the space of almost symmetric functions and are defined using a family of recurrences involving the isobaric divided difference operators and limits of Weyl symmetrization operators. The $s_{(\mu|\lambda)}$ are the $q=t=0$ specialization of the stable limit non-symmetric Macdonald functions $\widetilde{E}_{(\mu|\lambda)}$ defined by the author in previous work. We find a combinatorial formula for these functions simultaneously generalizing well known formulas for the Schur functions and the key polynomials. Further, we prove positivity results for the coefficients of the almost symmetric Schur functions expanded into the monomial basis and into the monomial-Schur basis of the space of almost symmetric functions. The latter positivity result follows after realizing the almost symmetric Schur functions $s_{(\mu|\lambda)}$ as limits of characters of representations of parabolic subgroups in type $GL.$

Abstract:Since the publication of our first book [80], there has been a real resiu-gence of interest in the study of almost automorphic functions and their applications ([16, 17, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 40, 41, 42, 46, 51, 58, 74, 75, 77, 78, 79]). New methods (method of invariant s- spaces, uniform spectrum), and new concepts (almost periodicity and almost automorphy in fuzzy settings) have been introduced in the literature. The range of applications include at present linear and nonlinear evolution equations, integro-differential and functional-differential equations, dynamical systems, etc...It has become imperative to take a bearing of the main steps of the the ory. That is the main purpose of this monograph. It is intended to inform the reader and pave the road to more research in the field. It is not a self contained book. In fact, [80] remains the basic reference and fimdamental source of information on these topics. Chapter 1 is an introductory one. However, it contains also some recent contributions to the theory of almost automorphic functions in abstract spaces. VIII Preface Chapter 2 is devoted to the existence of almost automorphic solutions to some Unear and nonUnear evolution equations. It con tains many new results. Chapter 3 introduces to almost periodicity in fuzzy settings with applications to differential equations in fuzzy settings. It is based on a work by B. Bede and S. G. Gal [40].

On the algebraization of asymptotic stability analysis for differential systems

Abstract:In this paper, we analyze the asymptotic stability of autonomous and non-autonomous differential systems by verifying the existence of Lyapunov functions. We start with an algebraic approach for verifying the existence of a Lyapunov function in quadratic form for autonomous systems by first formulating a semi-algebraic system and then solving such a semi-algebraic system by a semi-algebraic system solver. Then, this algebraic approach is extended to parametric autonomous systems and (parametric) non-autonomous systems by introducing quantifiers during algebraization. Experiments on some examples in the literature show the success of our approach in practice.

Abstract:In the present work, for $\mathbb{X}$ a Banach space, the notion of piecewise continuous $\mathbb{Z}$-almost automorphic functions with values in finite dimensional spaces is extended to piecewise continuous $\mathbb{Z}$-almost automorphic functions with values in $\mathbb{X}$. Several properties of this class of functions are provided, in particular it is shown that if $\mathbb{X}$ is a Banach algebra, then this class of functions constitute also a Banach algebra; furthermore, using the theory of $\mathbb{Z}$-almost automorphic functions, a new characterization of compact almost automorphic functions is given. As consequences, with the help of $\mathbb{Z}$-almost automorphic functions, it is presented a simple proof of the characterization of almost automorphic sequences by compact almost automorphic functions; the method permits us to give explicit examples of compact almost automorphic functions which are not almost periodic. Also, using the theory developed here, it is shown that almost automorphic solutions of differential equations with piecewise constant argument are in fact compact almost automorphic. Finally, it is proved that the classical solution of the $1D$ heat equation with continuous $\mathbb{Z}$-almost automorphic source is also continuous $\mathbb{Z}$-almost automorphic; furthermore, we comment applications to the existence and uniqueness of the asymptotically continuous $\mathbb{Z}$-almost automorphic mild solution to abstract integro-differential equations with nonlocal initial conditions.

Abstract:We first propose two types of concepts of almost automorphic functions on the quantum time scale. Secondly, we study some basic properties of almost automorphic functions on the quantum time scale. Then, we introduce a transformation between functions defined on the quantum time scale and functions defined on the set of generalized integer numbers; by using this transformation we give equivalent definitions of almost automorphic functions on the quantum time scale; following the idea of the transformation, we also give a concept of almost automorphic functions on more general time scales that can unify the concepts of almost automorphic functions on almost periodic time scales and on the quantum time scale. Finally, as an application of our results, we establish the existence of almost automorphic solutions of linear and semilinear dynamic equations on the quantum time scale.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove that the space $(\mathit{PAA}(\mathbb{R},\mathbb{X}),\|\cdot\|_{0})$ is complete. This not only gives an affirmative answer to a basic problem in this field, but also enables us to obtain an existence and uniqueness theorem of pseudo almost automorphic mild solutions to semilinear differential equations in Banach spaces. Abstract:We focus on the presence of almost automorphy in strongly monotone skew-product semiflows on Banach spaces. Under the $C^1$-smoothness assumption, it is shown that any linearly stable minimal set must be almost automorphic. This extends the celebrated result of Shen and Yi [Mem. Amer. Math. Soc. 136(1998), No. 647] for the classical $C^{1,\alpha}$-smooth systems. Based on this, one can reduce the regularity of the almost periodically forced differential equations and obtain the almost automorphic phenomena in a wider range.

Abstract:We study the questions of determining the asymptotics of the probabilistic characteristics of additive arithmetic functions in the paper, regardless of whether they have a limit distribution or not. Several assertions are proved about the estimation of the asymptotics of the probabilistic characteristics of strongly additive arithmetic functions, as well as additive functions of the class that have the same asymptotic behavior of the probabilistic characteristics, as for strongly additive arithmetic functions.

Abstract:Let $\mathcal{G}$ be a non-empty subset of the Euclidean space $\mathbb{R}^m$ ($m \geq 1$). This work is dedicated to further exploring the properties of $\mathcal{G}$-multi-almost automorphic functions defined on $\mathbb{R}^m$ with values in a Banach space $\mathbb{X}$. Using the theory of $\mathcal{G}$-multi-almost automorphic functions, we provide two new characterizations of compact almost automorphic functions. In the first characterization, $\mathcal{G}$ corresponds to the lattice subgroup $\mathbb{Z}^m \subset \mathbb{R}^m$; in the second, $\mathcal{G}$ is taken to be a dense subset of $\mathbb{R}^m$. Furthermore, we establish the invariance of the space of bounded and compactly $\mathcal{G}$-multi-almost automorphic functions under integral operators with Bi-almost automorphic kernels. Finally, we present applications to the analysis of the almost automorphic dynamics of Poisson's equation and the heat equation.

Abstract:Let $H^\infty$ denotes the algebra of all bounded analytic functions on the unit disk. It is well-known that every (algebra) automorphism of $H^\infty$ is a composition operator induced by disc automorphism. Maurya et al., (J. Math. Anal. Appl. 530 : Paper No: 127698, 2024) proved that every automorphism of the subalgebras $\{f\in H^\infty : f(0) = 0\}$ or $\{f\in H^\infty : f'(0) = 0\}$ is a composition operator induced by a rotation. In this article, we give very simple proof of their results. As an interesting generalization, for any $\psi\in H^\infty$, we show that every automorphism of $\psi H^\infty$ must be a composition operator and characterize all such composition operators. Using this characterization, we find all automorphism of $\psi H^\infty$ for few choices of $\psi$ with various nature depending on its zeros.

Abstract:This paper examines whether the concept of an almost-algebraic Lie algebra developed by Auslander and Brezin in \cite{ab} can be introduced for Leibniz algebras. Two possible analogues are considered: almost-reductive and almost-algebraic Leibniz algebras. For Lie algebras these two concepts are the same, but that is not the case for Leibniz algebras, the class of almost-algebraic Leibniz algebras strictly containing that of the almost-reductive ones. Various properties of these two classes of algebras are obtained, together with some relationships to $\phi$-free, elementary, $E$-algebras and $A$-algebras.
