Abstract:We find exact, analytic solutions of the holographic AC conductivity at arbitrary frequency $\omega$ and temperature $T$, in contrast to previous works where the AC conductivity was analytically obtained usually at small $\omega$ and $T$. These solutions enable us to study the analyticity properties of the current-current correlator $G(\omega)$ in detail. The first system we study is the AdS$_5$ planar black hole with momentum dissipation, whose extremal limit has an AdS$_2$ factor. Then we study AdS$_4$ and AdS$_5$ Einstein-dilaton systems whose special cases are maximal gauged supergravities. The solutions show how the poles move and how branch cuts emerge as the temperature varies. As a byproduct, we obtain an R-current correlator in $\mathcal{N}=4$ super-Yang-Mills theory on a sphere at finite temperature in the large $N$ and strong coupling limit.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is to find the exact analytical solutions of the holomorphic AC conductivity at arbitrary frequencies in the planar Schwarzschild - AdS_5 black holes with momentum dissipation and the Einstein - Dirac systems in AdS_4 and AdS_5 at different temperatures. Specifically: 1. **Research Background**: - **AdS/CFT Correspondence**: It provides a powerful tool for studying strongly interacting quantum systems, especially in condensed - matter systems where quasiparticles do not exist. - **Importance of Conductivity**: Conductivity is related to the current - current correlation function through the Kubo formula and is an important observable for studying the properties of the system. - **Scarcity of Analytical Solutions**: Although the DC conductivity can usually be solved analytically, analytical solutions for AC conductivity are relatively rare, especially those with non - trivial temperature dependence. 2. **Research Objectives**: - **Introducing Momentum Dissipation**: Momentum dissipation is introduced by adding axions (massless scalar fields) to the system, so that the DC conductivity of the finite - density system no longer diverges. - **Solving Analytical Solutions**: In the zero - density system, the AC conductivity at arbitrary frequencies and temperatures is solved analytically, especially to study its analytical properties and the behavior of poles as the temperature changes. - **Studying Extreme Limits**: To explore how poles become branch cuts when the temperature approaches the extreme limit and the impact of these changes on the low - energy properties of the system. 3. **Main Contributions**: - **Obtaining Analytical Solutions**: Analytical solutions of various AC conductivities are obtained in AdS_5 and AdS_4 systems. In particular, branch cuts, delta functions, and energy gaps in certain parameter - space regions are clearly revealed at zero temperature. - **Studying Analytical Properties**: The analytical properties of the degenerate current - current correlation function are studied in detail, especially the pole distribution on the complex plane at finite temperature and its change pattern in the extreme limit. - **Calculating R - current Correlation Functions**: As a by - product, the R - current correlation function of N = 4 supersymmetric Yang - Mills theory on the sphere at finite temperature is calculated. Through these studies, the paper not only provides new analytical solutions but also deeply explores the behavior of these solutions at different temperatures, providing important insights for understanding the low - energy properties of strongly - coupled systems.
