Abstract:Background: Miller Fisher syndrome (MFS) is frequently encountered variant of Gillian Barre Syndrome (GBS). It has distinct clinical and serological features. Here we describe an atypical GQ1b seronegative case with significantly elevated anti-glutamic acid decarboxylase antibody (GAD-Ab). Case description: A 24-year-old previously healthy Caucasian male presented with rapidly progressive ascending weakness, binocular diplopia and autonomic instability for 2 days. Examination was remarkable for asymmetrical facial weakness (L > R), opthalmoplegia and truncal ataxia without areflexia. MRI brain was normal. CSF analysis showed elevated protein. Electromyography/Nerve Conduction Study (EMG/NCS) within the first week was normal. Antiganglioside antibodies were negative. Extended serological and neoplastic workup revealed negative anti-GQ1b antibody, but significant increase of GAD-Ab, Voltage Gated Calcium Channel (VGCC) Ab, and mild elevation of TPO Ab IgG and Thyroglobulin (Tg) Ab IgG. Clinical diagnosis of partial MFS was made. He received a course of IVIg (2 g/kg over 5 days) and had complete recovery in 3 months. Conclusion: There are incomplete or atypical forms of MFS. Recognition of its various clinical presentations is essential for early diagnosis and optimal management. Further investigation is needed to elucidate the role of anti-GAD-ab and other autoimmune antibodies in the pathogenesis of GQ1b-seronegative MFS patients.

Abstract:Introduction: Since the initial identification of Miller Fisher syndrome (MFS) and Bickerstaff brainstem encephalitis (BBE),significant milestones have been achieved in understanding these diseases.Discoveries of common serum antibodies (IgG anti-GQ1b), antecedent infections, neurophysiological data, andneuroimaging suggested a shared autoimmune pathogenetic mechanism rather than distinct pathogenesis, leadingto the hypothesis that both diseases are part of a unified syndrome, termed "Fisher-Bickerstaff syndrome". The subsequent identification of atypical anti-GQ1b-positive forms expanded the classification to a broader condition known as "Anti-GQ1b-Antibody syndrome". Methods: An exhaustive literature review was conducted, analyzing a substantial body of research spanning from the initialdescriptions of the syndrome's components to recent developments in diagnostic classification and researchperspectives. Results: Anti-GQ1b syndrome encompasses a continuous spectrum of conditions defined by a common serological profilewith varying degrees of peripheral (PNS) and central nervous system (CNS) involvement. MFS and BBE represent theopposite ends of this spectrum, with MFS primarily affecting the PNS and BBE predominantly involving the CNS.Recently identified atypical forms, such as acute ophthalmoparesis, acute ataxic neuropathy withoutophthalmoparesis, Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) with ophthalmoparesis, MFS-GBS and BBE-GBS overlap syndromes,have broadened this spectrum. Conclusion: This work aims to provide an extensive, detailed, and updated overview of all aspects of the anti-GQ1b syndromewith the intention of serving as a stepping stone for further shaping thereof. Special attention was given to therecently identified atypical forms, underscoring their significance in redefining the boundaries of the syndrome.
Exploring Treatments for a Rare Guillain-Barré Variant: A Case Report of Miller-Fisher Syndrome

Abstract:The symptoms of Miller-Fisher syndrome (MFS) are a triad of areflexia, ataxia, and ophthalmoplegia. The condition is a rare variant of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), an acute immune-mediated nerve disorder. Both conditions involve abnormal autoimmune responses that may often be triggered by infections such as Campylobacter jejuni, human immunodeficiency virus, Epstein-Barr virus, and Zika virus, among others. As a result, the immune system mistakenly attacks the body's own nerve tissues. MFS is characterised by ophthalmoparesis, which can progress to complete external ophthalmoplegia and may include ptosis, facial nerve paralysis, sensory impairments, and muscle weakness. Diagnosis is supported by lumbar puncture, revealing albumin-cytologic dissociation, although initial tests may not always be indicative. A diagnostic marker for MFS is the presence of anti-GQ1b antibodies, which target the GQ1b ganglioside in nerves and affect oculomotor function in particular. Electrodiagnostic studies often show absent or reduced sensory responses without reduced conduction velocity. Treatment options include intravenous immunoglobulin therapy and plasmapheresis, which are both equally effective. This case study demonstrated significant clinical improvement in a patient undergoing plasmapheresis due to financial constraints, highlighting the efficacy of this treatment approach. A 50-year-old female presented with limb paraesthesia, progressive ptosis, imbalance, and transient diplopia following a recent fever. Examination revealed stable vitals, decreased deep tendon reflexes, reduced vibratory sensation, cerebellar ataxia, and cranial nerve abnormalities. Cerebrospinal fluid analysis showed elevated protein, suggesting MFS. Normal magnetic resonance imaging and nerve conduction studies indicated GBS, with positive anti-GQ1b antibodies. After five plasma exchange cycles, the patient improved substantially and was discharged with no residual symptoms after one month.
Miller Fisher syndrome following Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine

Abstract:Introduction: Miller Fisher syndrome (MFS) is a rare variant of Guillain-Barre syndrome characterized by ataxia, areflexia, and ophthalmoplegia. We present a case of MFS following Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Case presentation: A previously healthy 24-year-old female presented with binocular horizontal diplopia 18 days after receiving the first dose of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine (Comirnaty®). Anti-ganglioside testing revealed positive anti-GQ1b antibodies. Intravenous immunoglobulins were administered, in a dose of 2 g per kg of body weight over 5 days. On a follow-up exam 3 weeks after the treatment, clinical improvement was noted with normal bulbomotor examination. Conclusion: Patients with acute ophthalmoplegia occurring after COVID-19 vaccination should be screened for the presence of anti-GQ1b antibody. If the antibody is present, intravenous immunoglobulin should be administered as it may hasten clinical improvement.

Abstract:Importance: The discovery of the anti-GQ1b antibody has expanded the nosology of classic Miller Fisher syndrome to include Bickerstaff brainstem encephalitis, Guillain-Barré syndrome with ophthalmoplegia, and acute ophthalmoplegia without ataxia, which have been brought under the umbrella term anti-GQ1b antibody syndrome. It seems timely to define the phenotypes of anti-GQ1b antibody syndrome for the proper diagnosis of this syndrome with diverse clinical presentations. This review summarizes these syndromes and introduces recently identified subtypes. Observations: Although ophthalmoplegia is a hallmark of anti-GQ1b antibody syndrome, recent studies have identified this antibody in patients with acute vestibular syndrome, optic neuropathy with disc swelling, and acute sensory ataxic neuropathy of atypical presentation. Ophthalmoplegia associated with anti-GQ1b antibody positivity is complete in more than half of the patients but may be monocular or comitant. The prognosis is mostly favorable; however, approximately 14% of patients experience relapse. Conclusions and relevance: Anti-GQ1b antibody syndrome may present diverse neurological manifestations, including ophthalmoplegia, ataxia, areflexia, central or peripheral vestibulopathy, and optic neuropathy. Understanding the wide clinical spectrum may aid in the differentiation and management of immune-mediated neuropathies with multiple presentations.
Bulbar Paralysis Associated with Miller-Fisher Syndrome and Its Overlaps in Chinese Patients

Abstract:The study aimed to determine the incidence and the onset time of bulbar paralysis (BP) associated with Miller-Fisher syndrome (MFS) and its overlaps, to better understand the clinical characteristics among patients with MFS and its overlaps. Medical records from 48 patients with MFS and its overlaps were divided into two groups based on the presence (MFS-BP+) or absence (MFS-BP−) of BP. Their clinical features, laboratory and electrophysiological findings, neuroimaging data, and treatment plan were analyzed and compared between two groups. The incidence of BP associated with MFS and its overlaps was 48%. Eighty-two percent of the patients developed BP within 1 week after the onset of MFS and its overlaps. The cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) protein level in patients was higher in MFS-BP+ than in MFS-BP− group (67.69 ± 26.59 vs. 50.15 ± 20.44 mg/dl; P < 0.05). Frequencies of severe limb weakness, hypoglossal paralysis, disturbance of consciousness, and tracheal intubation required were also significantly higher in MFS-BP+ than in MFS-BP− group. Positive results of anti-GQ1b and anti-GT1b antibodies were all found in MFS-BP+ group. The prevalence of BP in MFS and its overlap was higher, the majority of BP occurred within 7 days after the onset of the disease, and early diagnosis of BP concurrence is helpful to decide the treatment plan.

Abstract:There have been many advancements in the field of neuromyelitis optica and neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder since the discovery of aquaporin-4 (AQP4) and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibodies. It is also recognized that the pathological features associated with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibodies are beyond the domain of neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder and there is a separate nomenclature, namely myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody associated disease. Currently, there is no aquaporin-4 antibody associated disorder, even though aquaporin-4 antibodies are not as widely present in other disorders. Miller Fisher syndrome (MFS) is a variant of Guillain Barré syndrome, in which there are positive GQ1b antibodies with no evidence of myelitis or optic neuritis. MFS is not considered a component of neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder. We report on a patient with MFS that was positive for GQ1b and aquaporin-4 antibodies but negative for myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibodies and is devoid of any features of neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder. This finding may lead to investigations and reports of other pathologies that are associated with the aquaporin-4 antibody.
Optic neuritis and palatal dysarthria as presenting features of post-infectious GQ1b antibody syndrome

Abstract:A 31-year-old man had optic neuritis 2 weeks after a diarrheal illness, followed by several deficits including palatal dysarthria, diplopia, ataxia, sensory dysfunction, and mild dysautonomia. Brain MRI and CSF were normal. Nerve conduction studies were initially normal and subsequently showed mild reduction in sensory amplitudes. Anti-GQ1b IgG titer was positive. Deficits resolved after treatment with IVIg. This clinical constellation represents an overlap between Miller Fisher syndrome (MFS) and the pharyngeal-cervical-brachial (PCB) variant of Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS), along with the infrequently reported central feature of optic neuritis. Campylobacter jejuni enteritis may have triggered the syndrome by molecular mimicry. GQ1b antibodies are associated with MFS, GBS, Bickerstaff brainstem encephalitis and PCB; they form an overlapping spectrum of features, hence the anti-GQ1b syndrome.

Abstract:Unilateral oculomotor nerve palsy can result from various neurological disorders. We herein report the case of a 68-year-old man with complete unilateral oculomotor nerve palsy following campylobacter infection. Based on the antecedent infection and the patient's decreased tendon reflexes, incomplete Miller Fisher syndrome (MFS) without ataxia was suspected. His serum tested positive for anti-GQ1b antibodies. He recovered over a period of 87 days without immunotherapy. We conclude that incomplete MFS following campylobacter infection can cause unilateral oculomotor nerve palsy without ataxia. Mild MFS should be considered in patients presenting with unilateral isolated ophthalmoplegia and decreased tendon reflexes.
Understanding the diagnostic challenges of Miller Fisher syndrome in children: a case report from an ophthalmological perspective

Abstract:We report a case of a 6-year-old boy with autism spectrum disorder presenting with new-onset squint and 'ptosis' following a recent infection. Clinical examination revealed ataxia and areflexia alongside a dilated pupil poorly reactive to light. Subsequently, his eye movements deteriorated to near-complete ophthalmoplegia at 1-week review. Further investigations inclusive of a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) brain scan, a computed tomography (CT) venogram and a lumbar puncture were conducted to consider and rule out differential diagnoses. Cerebrospinal fluid analysis revealed an albuminocytologic dissociation. The clinical triad of progressive ophthalmoplegia, areflexia and areflexia alongside albuminocytologic dissociation led to the diagnosis of Miller Fisher syndrome. The patient was commenced on intravenous immunoglobulin and his symptoms showed significant improvement. We use this interesting case to provide context for key learning points about diagnosing Miller Fisher syndrome in children.

Abstract:Miller Fisher syndrome is a rare and atypical variation of Guillain-Barré syndrome, which includes the clinical triad of areflexia, ataxia, and ophthalmoplegia. Miller Fisher syndrome is commonly associated with the involvement of the lower cranial and facial nerves. Miller Fisher syndrome is one of the types of Guillain-Barré syndrome. Guillain-Barré syndrome has been defined to be the foremost incapacitating form of neurological disease following the disease polio. Guillain-Barré syndrome is a broad category that encompasses several types of acute immune-mediated polyneuropathies, the most common of which is acute inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy. Here, we describe a case report of a 51-year-old patient who displayed the characteristic symptoms of Miller Fisher syndrome. We also describe the patient's clinical course, diagnostic method, and therapy. This case demonstrates the value of early detection, quick action in treating Miller Fisher syndrome, and the possibility of full recovery with adequate therapy. Techniques utilized in physical therapy emphasize performing everyday tasks along with strengthening muscles.

Abstract:Background: Neurologic impediments occur in only 0.1% of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infections. Although direct intracerebral infection can occur in these patients, autoimmune-mediated reactions secondary to molecular mimicry are the most common pathophysiology of such neurological complications. These complications include immune-mediated encephalitis, peripheral neuritis such as Guillain-Barré syndrome, and many others. Miller Fisher syndrome is a one of the variants of Guillain-Barré syndrome that has been rarely linked to Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection. It is a condition classically characterized by the triad of ophthalmoplegia, areflexia, and ataxia. Most patients with Miller Fisher syndrome will have positive anti-ganglioside GQ1b antibodies found in their serum, making this autoantibody a very useful serological confirmation parameter. We report a case of a Miller Fisher syndrome in a woman with Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection. To the best of the authors' knowledge, such cases have been only rarely described in literature. Case presentation: A 35-year-old Chinese woman presented with sudden onset of double vision and ataxia 5 days after fever and mild flu symptoms. Her Mycoplasma pneumoniae antigen was positive with 1 over 2560 titer of total mycoplasma antibody and presence of immunoglobulin M antibody, suggesting acute infection, and her nerve conduction study revealed mild sensory axonal polyneuropathy with segmental demyelination. the Miller Fischer syndrome variant of Guillain-Barré syndrome secondary to Mycoplasma pneumonia was suspected and later confirmed by presence of serum anti-GQ1b autoantibody. She was treated with intravenous immunoglobulin 0.4 g/kg once daily for 5 days. Conclusions: The objective of this report is to share a case of an uncommon neurological complication of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection, to increase the level of suspicion among clinicians that Miller Fischer syndrome can occur as an atypical presentation of an atypical pneumonia.
Course and Treatment of a Rare Neurological Sequelae After COVID-19: Miller Fisher Syndrome

Abstract:Reports of COVID-19 infection detailing its symptoms and outcomes point to its effects systemically, including that of the nervous system, such as the rare Miller Fisher syndrome (MFS). In this report, we identified a 43-year-old Caribbean man who arrived in the USA with ataxia and ascending bilateral lower extremity weakness after COVID-19 infection. Before arrival, the patient was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS). He was treated with IV methylprednisolone and a round of IV immunoglobulin (IVIG); however, he showed a minimal response. Upon admission to our ED, he had severe tachypnea and flaccid symmetrical quadriparesis combined with areflexia. Moreover, he had begun to exhibit signs of multiple cranial nerve palsies, including ophthalmoplegia and facial diplegia. Additionally, his laboratory cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis was grossly normal. Therefore, he was diagnosed with MFS. Furthermore, he developed acute depression and exhibited signs of mania. The patient was treated with IV methylprednisolone and the second round of a five-day course of IVIG, resulting in marked clinical improvement. This case highlights the need for a multidisciplinary care approach in patients with MFS. It also points to the possible benefit of multiple IVIG rounds in MFS patients who do not improve after the first course.
AntiGQ1b antibody positive with MFS/GBS overlapped syndrome with diplopia and hemiplegia onset: Case report and retrospective analysis

Abstract:Rationale: GBS and MFS have been divided into several subtypes, constituting a series of independent and overlapping syndromes that share similar pathophysiology, leading to common clinical features, including history of previous infection, single-phase course, symmetry, skull or limbs weakness, CFS albumin cell separation (high protein, normal cell count), antiganglioside antibodies and axon, or evidence of demyelinating neuropathy neurophysiology. Part of the MFS in patients with clinical manifestations may be complicated, and even symptoms are not typical. A few patients may overlap with BBE or GBS. Patient concerns: Most patients with MFS/GBS overlap syndrome have a good prognosis, and a few patients may experience fluctuations or re-exacerbations. In most patients, after treatment, their neurological function basically recovers within a few weeks or months. Diagnosis interventions: The patient had ophthalmoplegia, ataxia, weak force, and protein-cell separation in cerebrospinal fluid during the development of the disease. The diagnosis of MFS overlapped with typical GBS was considered. The CSF specific IgG oligoclonal zone and anti-Sulfatide antibody were positive. Anti-GT1a IgG was positive. Anti-GQ1b IgG was positive, which supported the diagnosis of GBS spectrum disorders. According to their common immunological basis, plasma exchange or intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) therapy is recommended, which can effectively improve the symptoms and shorten the course of the disease. Outcomes: After treatment with glucocorticoids and gamma globulin, the symptoms improved and the patient was discharged. Lessons: MFS/GBS Superimposed syndrome is a rare clinical disease. Therefore, more attention should be paid to early diagnosis and treatment of similar patients to avoid misdiagnosis. Cerebral spinal fluid (CFS) examination, neuroelectrophysiology, and GQ1b antibody detection can be used to confirm the diagnosis.
A case report of thrombocytopenic COVID-19 and Miller–Fisher syndrome on a concurrent chronic immune neuropathy

Abstract:Rationale: Miller–Fisher syndrome (MFS) is a rare subtype of Guillain–Barre syndrome with classic features of ataxia, areflexia, and ophthalmoplegia that can be caused by a preceding infection including COVID-19. We present a current, asymptomatic thrombocytopenic COVID-19 infection as a cause of MFS in a 60-year-old male with a concurrent chronic immune neuropathy. Patient concerns: A 60-year-old male presenting with acute symptoms of MFS including ataxia, areflexia, and ophthalmoplegia on a chronic immune neuropathy for at least 1 year and concurrent asymptomatic COVID-19 positive infection. Diagnosis: MFS suspected secondary to a current thrombocytopenic COVID-19 infection. Interventions: Five days of intravenous immune globulin with continued monthly intravenous immune globulin as an outpatient, follow-up long-term in a neuromuscular clinic, electromyography as an outpatient, and continued physical therapy. Outcomes: The patient significantly improved after initial treatment. Lessons: The full effect of COVID-19 on the various Guillain–Barre syndrome subtypes is unknown, although it clearly can be a cause of the various variants including being caused by a current, asymptomatic infection.

Abstract:BACKGROUND:Mills' syndrome is an extremely rare degenerative motor neuron disorder first described by Mills in 1900, but its nosological status is still not clear. We aimed to analyze the clinical features of Mills' syndrome.CASE SUMMARY:Herein, we present 3 cases with similar features as those described in Mills' original paper and review the related literature. Our patients showed middle- and older-age onset, with only upper motor neuron symptoms evident throughout the course of the disease. Spastic hemiplegia began in the lower extremity with a unique progressive pattern.CONCLUSION:We consider that Mills' syndrome is a unique entity of motor neuron disorder with an N-shaped progression. Clinicians should maintain a high index of suspicion for the diagnosis of Mills' syndrome when the onset involves lower extremity paralysis without evidence of lower motor neuron or sensory involvement.
Antibodies to Glycolipids in Guillain-Barré Syndrome, Miller Fisher Syndrome and Related Autoimmune Neurological Diseases

Abstract:Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) and Miller Fisher syndrome (MFS) are acute immune-mediated neuropathies, often preceded by an infection. Anti-glycolipid antibodies are frequently detected in patients' sera in the acute-phase. In particular, IgG anti-GQ1b antibodies are positive in as high as 90% of MFS cases. Anti-glycolipid antibodies are useful for the diagnosis of GBS and MFS. In addition, those antibodies may be directly involved in the pathogenetic mechanisms by binding specifically to the regions where the target glycolipid antigen is densely localized. This was proven by the development of animal models of anti-glycolipid antibody-mediated neuropathies. The presence of antibodies that specifically recognize a new conformational epitope formed by two gangliosides (ganglioside complex) in the acute-phase sera of some GBS patients suggested existence of a carbohydrate-carbohydrate interaction between glycolipids. Further intensive research is needed to clarify this point.
Clinical Characterization of Anti-GQ1b Antibody Syndrome in Childhood

Abstract:Objective: To delineate the comprehensive clinical features of anti-GQ1b antibody syndrome in childhood. Methods: The clinical data of children diagnosed with anti-GQ1b antibody syndrome at two Chinese tertiary pediatric neurology centers were collected and analyzed. We also conducted a systematic literature review on anti-GQ1b antibody syndrome in children. Results: This study included 78 children with anti-GQ1b antibody syndrome, consisting of 12 previously unreported cases from the two Chinese centers. The median onset age was 10 years (range, 2–18 years). The most common phenotype was acute ophthalmoparesis (32%), followed by classic Miller Fisher syndrome (15%), and Bickerstaff brainstem encephalitis (12%). External ophthalmoplegia (48%), sensory disturbance (9%), and bulbar palsy (9%) were the three most frequent onset symptom manifestations. Brain or spinal lesions on MRI and abnormal recordings by nerve conduction study were present in 18% (12/68) and 60% (27/45) of cases, respectively. There was CSF albuminocytologic dissociation in 34% of the patients (23/68). IV immunoglobulin alone or combined with steroids or plasma exchange was administered to 58% of patients (42/72). We did not find a significant correlation between early improvement up to 3 months and age onset and phenotype. All patients showed different degrees of recovery, and 81% (57/70) had complete recovery within 1 year. Conclusions: Acute ophthalmoparesis and classic Miller Fisher syndrome are the most common phenotypes of anti-GQ1b antibody syndrome in childhood. The majority of patients show good response to immunotherapy and have favorable prognosis.

Abstract:Abstract Background Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), as the most common cause of acute flaccid paralysis worldwide, is considered a part of a clinical spectrum in which discrete, complete, or incomplete forms of GBS and overlapping syndromes lie on the basis of their clinical features. The term overlapping Miller Fisher syndrome (MFS)/GBS is used when patients with MFS also suffer from progressive motor weakness of the limbs. Anti-ganglioside GQ1b has been specifically associated with MFS and ophthalmoplegia. Case description Here, we report a Chinese girl who was diagnosed with overlapping MFS/GBS showing acute flaccid paralysis of all four limbs, sensory symptoms, cranial nerve dysfunction, autonomic involvement, ophthalmoplegia, and ataxia. She had high serum and cerebrospinal fluid titres of monospecific anti-GM4 IgG antibody instead of anti-GQ1b antibody in the acute phase. Conclusion Anti-GM4 antibodies usually coexist with other antiganglioside antibodies, leading to missed diagnoses. The findings of the present study show that antibodies to ganglioside GM4 may in overlapping MFS/GBS as the lone immunological factors.

[A case of Bickerstaff brainstem encephalitis concomitant with axonal Guillain-Barre syndrome and ballism successfully treated with intravenous immunoglobulin treatment]

Abstract:A 39-year-old man acutely developed diplopia, vertigo, unsteady gait, and disturbance of consciousness following an upper respiratory infection. Neurological examination showed ophthalmoplegia, facial paralysis, tetraplegia and loss of deep tendon reflexes. Babinski reflex was positive on the left and there were bilateral flexor withdrawal reflexes. He also developed ballism-like involuntary movements in all extremities, loss of proprioception predominantly on the left, and severe truncal ataxia. Anti-GQ1b IgG antibody was selectively elevated in serum, and CSF protein was elevated to 53 mg/dl with cell count of 12/mm3. Nerve conduction study showed decreased amplitude of compound motor action potentials in all extremities, and no response in facial muscles. Cranial MRI showed no abnormalities whereas EEG was severely abnormal with lack of posterior dominant rhythm and the presence of continuous diffuse theta-waves. This case presented clinical characteristics of three syndromes concurrently-Fisher syndrome, Bickerstaff brainstem encephalitis, and Guillain-Barré syndrome-that may be collectively called 'anti-GQ1b IgG antibody syndrome'. The unique feature of the present case was development of deep coma and ballism-like movements, associated with selective increase of serum anti-GQ1b IgG antibody. It is thus conceivable that anti-GQ1b IgG antibody might underlie the pathogenesis of all three conditions.
