Abstract:As main result we prove that Fejér means of Walsh-Kaczmarz-Fourier series are uniformly bounded operators from the Hardy martingale space $\ H_{p}$ to the Hardy martingale space $H_{p}$ for $ 0<p\leq 1/2.$

Abstract:In this paper we shall establish some results on weak convergence for vector-valued continuous random processes, among which are vector-valued sub-Gaussian processes, vector-valued random processes satisfying Lipschitz conditions, and random Fourier series with vector-valued coefficients. The results obtained can be considered as corresponding extensions of those in the real setting. Our basic ideas stem from Fernique's recent works.

Abstract:In this article, we discuss the applications of martingale Hardy Orlicz–Lorentz–Karamata spaces in Fourier analysis. More precisely, we show that the partial sums of the Walsh–Fourier series converge to the function in norm if with $1<p_-\le $<="" p_+ . The equivalence of maximal operators on martingale Hardy Orlicz–Lorentz–Karamata spaces is presented. The Fejér summability method is also studied and it is proved that the maximal Fejér operator is bounded from martingale Hardy Orlicz–Lorentz–Karamata spaces to Orlicz–Lorentz–Karamata spaces. As a consequence, we obtain conclusions about almost everywhere and norm convergence of Fejér means.

Abstract:In the first part of this paper we describe the status of the art of this subject. In the second part we present and motivate some new results. Indeed, we introduce some new weighted maximal operators of the partial sums of the Walsh-Fourier series. We prove that for some "optimal" weights these new operators indeed are bounded from the martingale Hardy space $H_{1}(G)$ to the space $\text{weak}-L_{1}(G),$ but is not bounded from $H_{1}(G)$ to the space $L_{1}(G).$

We prove that for some "optimal" weights these new operators indeed are bounded from the martingale Hardy space $H_{p}$ to the Lebesgue space $\text{weak}-L_{p},$ for $0<p<1.$ Moreover, we also prove sharpness of this result.

Abstract:It is well-known that to establish the almost everywhere convergence of a sequence of operators on $L_1$-space, it is sufficient to obtain a weak $(1,1)$-type inequality for the maximal operator corresponding to the sequence of operators. However, in practical applications, the establishment of the mentioned inequality for the maximal operators is very tricky and difficult job. In the present paper, the main aim is a novel outlook at above mentioned inequality for the tensor product of two weighted one-dimensional Walsh-Fourier series. Namely, our main idea is naturally to consider uniformly boundedness conditions for the sequences which imply the weak type estimation for the maximal operator of the tensor product. More precisely, we are going to establish weak type of inequality for the tensor product of two dimensional maximal operators while having the uniform boundedness of the corresponding one dimensional operators. Moreover, the convergence of the tensor product of operators is established at the two dimensional Walsh-Lebesgue points.

Abstract:We investigate the subsequence $\{t_{2^n}f \}$ of Nörlund means with respect to the Walsh system generated by non-increasing and convex sequences. In particular, we prove that a big class of such summability methods are not bounded from the martingale Hardy spaces $H_p$ to the space $weak-L_p $ for $0<p<1/(1+\alpha) $, where $0<\alpha<1$. Moreover, some new related inequalities are derived. As application, some well-known and new results are pointed out for well-known summability methods, especially for Nörlund logarithmic means and Cesàro means.

Abstract:The aim of the current paper is to determine the necessary and sufficient conditions for the weights $\mathbf{q}=\{q_k\}$, ensuring that the sequence of operators $\left\{ T_{n}^{\left( \mathbf{q}\right) }f\right\} $ associated with Walsh system, is convergent almost everywhere for all integrable function $f$. The article also examines the convergence of a sequence of tensor product operators denoted as $\left\{ T_{n}^{( \mathbf{q})}\otimes T_{n}^{( \mathbf{p})}\right\}$ involving functions of two variables. We point out that recent research by Gát and Karagulyan (2016) demonstrated that this sequence of tensor product operators cannot converge almost everywhere for every integrable function. In this paper, the necessary and sufficient conditions for the weight are provided which ensure that the sequence of the mentioned operators converges in measure on $L_{1}$.

Abstract:We prove that, for functions in the Orlicz class LloglogLloglogloglogL, lacunary subsequences of the Fourier and the Walsh-Fourier series converge almost everywhere. Our integrability condition is less stringent than the homologous assumption in the almost everywhere convergence theorems of Lie (Fourier case) and Do-Lacey (Walsh-Fourier case), where the quadruple logarithmic term is replaced by a triple logarithm. Our proof of the Walsh-Fourier case is self-contained and, in antithesis to Do and Lacey's argument, avoids the use of Antonov's lemma, arguing directly via novel weak-L^p bounds for the Walsh-Carleson operator.

Abstract:We summarize some results as well as we prove some new results about the Orlicz–Lorentz–Karamata spaces and martingale Hardy Orlicz–Lorentz–Karamata spaces. More precisely, Doob's maximal inequality for submartingales and Burkholder–Davis–Gundy inequality are presented. We also show some fundamental martingale inequalities and modular inequalities. Additionally, based on atomic decompositions, duality theorems and fractional integral operators are discussed. As applications in Fourier analysis, we consider the Walsh–Fourier series on Orlicz–Lorentz–Karamata spaces. The dyadic maximal operators on martingale Hardy Orlicz–Lorentz–Karamata spaces are presented. The boundedness of maximal Fejér operator is proved, which further implies some convergence results of the Fejér means.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce a new class of function spaces, which unify and generalize Lorentz-Karamata spaces, variable Lorentz spaces and other several classical function spaces. Based on the new spaces, we develop the theory of variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces and apply it to Fourier Analysis. To be precise, we discuss the basic properties of Lorentz-Karamata spaces with variable exponents. We introduce five variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces and characterize them via simple atoms as well as via atoms. As applications of the atomic decompositions, dual theorems and the generalized John-Nirenberg theorem for the new framework are presented. Moreover, we obtain the boundedness of $\sigma$-sublinear operator defined on variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces, which leads to martingale inequalities and the relation of the five variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces. Also, we investigate the boundedness of fractional integral operators in this new framework. Finally, we deal with the applications of variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces in Fourier analysis by using the previous results. More precisely, we show that the partial sums of the Walsh-Fourier series converge to the function in norm if $f\in L_{p(\cdot),q,b}$ with $1<p_-\le p_+<\infty$. The Fej\'{e}r summability method is also studied and it is proved that the maximal Fej\'{e}r operator is bounded from variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces to variable Lorentz-Karamata spaces. As a consequence, we get conclusions about almost everywhere and norm convergence of Fej\'{e}r means. The results obtained in this paper generalize the results for martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces and variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz spaces. Especially, we remove the condition that $b$ is nondecreasing in previous literature.

Uniform stability of concentration inequalities and applications

Abstract:We prove a sharp quantitative version of recent Faber-Krahn inequalities for the continuous Wavelet transforms associated to a certain family of Cauchy wavelet windows . Our results are uniform on the parameters of the family of Cauchy wavelets, and asymptotically sharp in both directions. As a corollary of our results, we are able to recover not only the original result for the short-time Fourier transform as a limiting procedure, but also a new concentration result for functions in Hardy spaces. This is a completely novel result about optimal concentration of Poisson extensions, and our proof automatically comes with a sharp stability version of that inequality. Our techniques highlight the intertwining of geometric and complex-analytic arguments involved in the context of concentration inequalities. In particular, in the process of deriving uniform results, we obtain a refinement over the proof of a previous result by the first and fourth authors together with A. Guerra and P. Tilli, further improving the current understanding of the geometry of near extremals in all contexts under consideration.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to the study of pointwise convergence of Fourier seriesfor group von Neumann algebras and quantum groups. It is well-known that anumber of approximation properties of groups can be interpreted as summationmethods and mean convergence of the associated noncommutative Fourier series.Based on this framework, this paper studies the refined counterpart ofpointwise convergence of these Fourier series. As a key ingredient, we developa noncommutative bootstrap method and establish a general criterion of maximalinequalities for approximate identities of noncommutative Fourier multipliers.Based on this criterion, we prove that for any countable discrete amenablegroup, there exists a sequence of finitely supported positive definitefunctions tending to 1 pointwise, so that the associated Fourier multiplierson noncommutative L_p-spaces satisfy the pointwise convergence for all p>1.In a similar fashion, we also obtain results for a large subclass of groups (aswell as quantum groups) with the Haagerup property and the weak amenability. Wealso consider the analogues of Fejér and Bochner-Riesz means in thenoncommutative setting. Our approach heavily relies on the noncommutativeergodic theory in conjunction with abstract constructions of Markov semigroups,inspired by quantum probability and geometric group theory. Finally, we alsoobtain as a byproduct the dimension free bounds of the noncommutativeHardy-Littlewood maximal inequalities associated with convex bodies.
A noncommutative maximal inequality for Fejér means on totally disconnected non-abelian groups

Abstract:In this paper, we explore Fourier analysis for noncommutative $L_p$ space-valued functions on $G$, where $G$ is a totally disconnected non-abelian compact group. By additionally assuming that the value of these functions remains invariant within each conjugacy class, we establish a noncommutative maximal inequality for Fejér means utilizing the associated character system of $G$. This is an operator-valued version of the classical result due to Gát. We follow essentially the classical sketch, but due to the noncommutativity, many classical arguments have to be revised. Notably, compared to the classical results. the bounds of our estimates are explicity calculated.

A new approach to strong convergence

Abstract:A family of random matrices $\boldsymbol{X}^N=(X_1^N,\ldots,X_d^N)$ converges strongly to a family $\boldsymbol{x}=(x_1,\ldots,x_d)$ in a $C^*$-algebra if $\|P(\boldsymbol{X}^N)\|\to\|P(\boldsymbol{x})\|$ for every noncommutative polynomial $P$. This phenomenon plays a central role in several recent breakthrough results on random graphs, geometry, and operator algebras. However, strong convergence is notoriously difficult to prove and has generally required delicate problem-specific methods. In this paper, we develop a new approach to strong convergence that uses only soft arguments. Our method exploits the fact that for many natural models, the expected trace of $P(\boldsymbol{X}^N)$ is a rational function of $\frac{1}{N}$ whose lowest order asymptotics are easily understood. We develop a general technique to deduce strong convergence directly from these inputs using the inequality of A. and V. Markov for univariate polynomials and elementary Fourier analysis. To illustrate the method, we develop the following applications. 1. We give a short proof of the result of Friedman that random regular graphs have a near-optimal spectral gap, and obtain a sharp understanding of the large deviations probabilities of the second eigenvalue. 2. We prove a strong quantitative form of the strong convergence property of random permutation matrices due to Bordenave and Collins. 3. We extend the above to any stable representation of the symmetric group, providing many new examples of the strong convergence phenomenon.

Abstract:Integral tests are found for the convergence of two Spitzer-type series associated with a class of weighted averages introduced by Jajte [On the strong law of large numbers, Ann. Probab. , 31(1):409–412, 2003]. Our main theorems are valid for a large family of dependent random variables that are not necessarily identically distributed. As a byproduct, we improve the Marcinkiewicz–Zygmund strong law of large numbers for asymptotically almost negatively associated sequences due to Chandra and Ghosal [Extensions of the strong law of large numbers of Marcinkiewicz and Zygmund for dependent variables Acta Math. Hung. , 71(4):327–336, 1996]. We also complement two limit theorems recently derived by Anh et al. [TheMarcinkiewicz–Zygmund-type strong law of large numbers with general normalizing sequences, J. Theor. Probab. , 34(1):331–348, 2021] and Thành [On a new concept of stochastic domination and the laws of large numbers, Test , 32(1):74–106, 2023]. The obtained results are new even when the summands are independent.
