Abstract:In this paper, we present two kinds of total Chern forms $c(E,G)$ and $\mathcal{C}(E,G)$ as well as a total Segre form $s(E,G)$ of a holomorphic Finsler vector bundle $\pi:(E,G)\to M$ expressed by the Finsler metric $G$, which answers a question of J. Faran (\cite{Faran}) to some extent. Abstract:The conformai properties of complex Finsler metrics are studied. We first give a characterization of a compact complex Finsler manifold to be globally conformai Kahler. By considering the total holomorphic curvature and total Ricci curvature in the volume preserved conformal classes, we then study the variational properties of Kahler Finsler metrics. By studying the spectral properties of two average metrics, the stabilities of critical Kähler Finsler metrics are verified. Finally, a Yamabe type problem for mean holomorphic Ricci curvature is considered, and a partial existence result is obtained.

Abstract:We provide an introduction to the mathematics and physics of the deformed Hermitian-Yang-Mills equation, a fully nonlinear geometric PDE on Kahler manifolds which plays an important role in mirror symmetry. We discuss the physical origin of the equation, and some recent progress towards its solution. In dimension 3 we prove a new Chern number inequality and discuss the relationship with algebraic stability conditions.

Abstract:Let (X) over bar be a compact complex manifold with a smooth Kahler metric and D = Sigma(i=1)(m) D-i a divisor in (X) over bar with normal crossings. Let E be a holomorphic vector bundle over (X) over bar with a stable parabolic structure along D. We prove that there exists a Hermitian-Einstein metric on E' = E \(<(X)over bar\D) and obtain a Chern number inequality for a stable parabolic bundle.Without the assumption that the irreducible components D-i of D meet transversely, using Hironaka's theorem on the resolution of singularities, we also get a Chern number inequality for a more general stable parabolic bundle.

Abstract:In this paper we introduce the “interpolation–degeneration” strategy to study Kähler–Einstein metrics on a smooth Fano manifold with cone singularities along a smooth divisor that is proportional to the anti-canonical divisor. By “interpolation” we show the angles in (0, 2π] that admit a conical Kähler–Einstein metric form a connected interval, and by “degeneration” we determine the boundary of the interval in some important cases. As a first application, we show that there exists a Kähler–Einstein metric on ${\mathbb{P}^2}$ with cone singularity along a smooth conic (degree 2) curve if and only if the angle is in (π/2, 2π]. When the angle is 2π/3 this proves the existence of a Sasaki–Einstein metric on the link of a three dimensional A 2 singularity, and thus answers a question posed by Gauntlett–Martelli–Sparks–Yau. As a second application we prove a version of Donaldson’s conjecture about conical Kähler–Einstein metrics in the toric case using Song–Wang’s recent existence result of toric invariant conical Kähler–Einstein metrics.

Abstract:We present some formulae related to the Chern-Ricci curvatures and scalar curvatures of special Hermitian metrics. We prove that a compact locally conformal Kähler manifold with constant nonpositive holomorphic sectional curvature is Kähler. We also give examples of complete non-Kähler metrics with pointwise negative constant but not globally constant holomorphic sectional curvature, and complete non-Kähler metric with zero holomorphic sectional curvature and nonvanishing curvature tensor.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the deformed Hermitian-Yang-Mills equation on compact Kähler manifold with non-negative orthogonal bisectional curvature. We prove that the curvatures of deformed Hermitian-Yang-Mills metrics are parallel with respect to the background metric if there exists a positive constant C such that $$\begin{aligned} -\frac{1}{C}\omega<\sqrt{-1}F<C\omega . \end{aligned}$$ We also consider the self-shrinker over $$\mathbb {C}^n$$ to the corresponding parabolic flow. We prove that the self-shrinker over $${\mathbb {C}}^n$$ is a quadratic polynomial function. At last, we show a similar rigidity theorem for the J-equations and the self-shrinkers over $${\mathbb {C}}^n$$ to J-flow.

Abstract:This article is concerned with Chern class and Chern number inequalities on polarized manifolds and nef vector bundles. For a polarized pair $(M,L)$ with $L$ very ample, our 1st main result is a family of sharp Chern class inequalities. Among them the 1st one is a variant of a classical result and the equality case of the 2nd one is a characterization of hypersurfaces. The 2nd main result is a Chern number inequality on it, which includes a reverse Miyaoka–Yau-type inequality. The 3rd main result is that the Chern numbers of a nef vector bundle over a compact Kähler manifold are bounded below by the Euler number. As an application, we classify compact Kähler manifolds with nonnegative bisectional curvature whose Chern numbers are all positive. A conjecture related to the Euler number of compact Kähler manifolds with nonpositive bisectional curvature is proposed, which can be regarded as a complex analogue to the Hopf conjecture.

Abstract:An old conjecture in non-Kähler geometry states that, if a compact Hermitian manifold has constant holomorphic sectional curvature, then the metric must be Kähler (when the constant is non-zero) or Chern flat (when the constant is zero). It is known to be true in complex dimension $2$ by the work of Balas and Gauduchon in 1985 (when the constant is negative or zero) and Apostolov, Davidov and Muskarov in 1996 (when the constant is positive). In dimension $3$ or higher, the conjecture is only known in some special cases, such as the locally conformally Kähler case (when the constant is negative or zero) by the work of Chen, Chen and Nie, or for complex nilmanifolds with nilpotent $J$ by the work of Li and the second named author.

Abstract:For a compact Kähler-Einstein manifold $M$ of dimension $n\ge 2$, we explicitly write the expression $-c_1^n(M)+\frac{2(n+1)}{n}c_2(M)c_1^{n-2}(M)$ in the form of certain integral on the holomorphic sectional curvature and its average at a fixed point in $M$ using the invariant theory. As applications, we get a reverse Yau's inequality and improve the classical $\frac{1}{4}$-pinched theorem and negative $\frac{1}{4}$-pinched theorem for compact Kähler-Einstein manifolds to smaller pinching constant depending only on the dimension and the first Chern class of $M$. If $M$ is not with positive or negative holomorphic sectional curvature, then there exists a point $x\in M$ such that the average of the holomorphic sectional curvature at $x$ vanishes. In particular, we characterise the $2$-dimensional complex torus by certain curvature condition. Moreover, we confirm Yau's conjecture for positive holomorphic sectional curvature and Siu-Yang's conjecture for negative holomorphic sectional curvature even for higher dimensions if the absolute value of the holomorphic sectional curvature is small enough. Finally, using the reverse Yau's inequality, we can judge if a projective manifold doesn't carry any hermitian metric with negative holomorphic sectional curvature.

Abstract:We prove local Calabi and higher order estimates for solutions to the continuity equation introduced by La Nave-Tian and extended to Hermitian metrics by Sherman-Weinkove. We apply the estimates to show that on a compact complex manifold the Chern scalar curvature of a solution must blow up at a finite-time singularity. Additionally, starting from certain classes of initial data on Oeljeklaus-Toma manifolds we prove Gromov-Hausdorff and smooth convergence of the metric to a particular non-negative $(1,1)$-form as $t\to\infty$.
