Abstract:TWe suggest a method to construct exactly solvable Gross-Pitaevskii type equations, especially the variable-coefficient high-order Gross-Pitaevskii type equations. We show that there exists a relation between the Gross-Pitaevskii type equations. The Gross-Pitaevskii equations connected by the relation form a family. In the family one only needs to solve one equation and other equations in the family can be solved by a transform. That is, one can construct a series of exactly solvable Gross-Pitaevskii type equations from one exactly solvable Gross-Pitaevskii type equation. As examples, we consider the family of some special Gross-Pitaevskii type equations: the nonlinear Schrödinger equation, the quintic Gross-Pitaevskii equation, and cubic-quintic Gross-Pitaevskii equation. We also construct the family of a kind of generalized Gross-Pitaevskii type equation.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The main problem this paper attempts to address is the construction of exactly solvable Gross-Pitaevskii (GP) type equations, particularly variable coefficient higher-order Gross-Pitaevskii type equations. The authors propose a method by which a series of other exactly solvable equations related to a known exactly solvable GP type equation can be found. These related equations form a "family," within which solving one equation allows the solutions to all other equations to be obtained through transformations. Specifically, the paper demonstrates that there is a relationship between GP type equations that allows two GP type equations to be related through a transformation. If two GP type equations satisfy this relationship, their solutions can also be transformed into each other accordingly. Therefore, once one equation in a family is solved, the solutions to the other equations can be directly obtained through transformations. To illustrate the effectiveness of this method, the authors consider several specific examples, including the nonlinear Schrödinger equation, the quintic GP equation, and the cubic-quintic GP equation, and show how to construct the solutions to these equations through transformations. Additionally, the paper discusses the generalized GP type equations and their families, as well as the family of three-dimensional spherically symmetric GP type equations. In summary, the main goal of this paper is to provide a systematic method for constructing more exactly solvable equations from known exactly solvable GP type equations, thereby simplifying the analysis and solution process of complex physical systems.
