Abstract: The $L_p$-Minkowski problem deals with the existence of closed convex hypersurfaces in $\mathbb{R}^{n+1}$ with prescribed $p$-area measures. It extends the classical Minkowski problem and embraces several important geometric and physical applications. The Existence of solutions has been obtained in the sub-critical case $p>-n-1$, but the problem remains widely open in the super-critical case $p<-n-1$. In this paper, we introduce new ideas to solve the problem for all the super-critical exponents. A crucial ingredient in our proof is a topological method based on the calculation of the homology of a topological space of ellipsoids.

Abstract:We study norm-estimates for the $\bar\partial$-equation on non-reduced analytic spaces. Our main result is that on a non-reduced analytic space, which is Cohen-Macaulay and whose underlying reduced space is smooth, the $\bar\partial$-equation for $(0,1)$-forms can be solved with $L^p$-estimates.

Abstract:This article investigates the Fourier extension operator associated to the fractional surface $(\xi,|\xi|^{\alpha})$ with $\alpha\geq 2$. We show that nearly all valid scale-invariant Fourier extension inequalities possess extremals. More precisely, if the Fourier extension operator is bounded for an endpoint $p_0$, then for all $1<p< p_0$, the corresponding $L^p$-extremal sequences are precompact up to symmetries. In particular, we have developed the relevant $L^p$-profile decomposition for these Fourier extension operators.

Abstract:The aim of this article is to deepen the understanding of the derivation of $\mathrm{L}^p$-estimates of non-local operators. We review the $\mathrm{L}^p$-extrapolation theorem of Shen which builds on a real variable argument of Caffarelli and Peral and adapt this theorem to account for non-local weak reverse Hölder estimates. These non-local weak reverse Hölder estimates appear for example in the investigation of non-local elliptic integrodifferential operators. This originates from the fact that here only a non-local Caccioppoli inequality is valid, see Kuusi, Mingione, and Sire. As an application, we prove resolvent estimates and maximal regularity properties in $\mathrm{L}^p$-spaces of non-local elliptic integrodifferential operators.

Abstract:If $(M,g)$ is a compact Riemannian manifold of dimension $n\ge 2$ we give necessary and sufficient conditions for improved $L^p(M)$-norms of eigenfunctions for all $2<p\ne p_c=\tfrac{2(n+1)}{n-1}$, the critical exponent. Since improved $L^{p_c}(M)$ bounds imply improvement all other exponents, these conditions are necessary for improved bounds for the critical space. We also show that improved $L^{p_c}(M)$ bounds are valid if these conditions are met and if the half-wave operators, $U(t)$, have no caustics when $t\ne 0$. The problem of finding a necessary and sufficient condition for $L^{p_c}(M)$ improvement remains an interesting open problem.

Sharp local $L^p$ estimates for the Hermite eigenfunctions

Abstract:We investigate the concentration of eigenfunctions for the Hermite operator $H=-\Delta+|x|^2$ in $\mathbb{R}^n$ by establishing local $L^p$ bounds over the compact sets with arbitrary dilations and translations. These new results extend the local estimates by Thangavelu and improve those derived from Koch-Tataru, and explain the special phenomenon that the global $L^p$ bounds decrease in $p$ when $2\le p\le \frac{2n+6}{n+1}$. The key $L^2$-estimates show that the local probabilities decrease away from the boundary $\{|x|=\lambda\}$, and then they satisfy Bohr's correspondence principle in any dimension. The proof uses the Hermite spectral projection operator represented by Mehler's formula for the Hermite-Schrödinger propagator $e^{-it H}$, and the strategy developed by Thangavelu and Jeong-Lee-Ryu. We also exploit an explicit version of the stationary phase lemma and Hörmander's $L^2$ oscillatory integral theorem. Using Koch-Tataru's strategy, we construct appropriate examples to illustrate the possible concentrations and show the optimality of our local estimates.

Refined $L^p$ restriction estimate for eigenfunctions on Riemannian surfaces

Abstract:We refine the $L^p$ restriction estimates for Laplace eigenfunctions on a Riemannian surface, originally established by Burq, Gérard, and Tzvetkov. First, we establish estimates for the restriction of eigenfunctions to arbitrary Borel sets on the surface, following the formulation of Eswarathasan and Pramanik. We achieve this by proving a variable coefficient version of a weighted Fourier extension estimate of Du and Zhang. Our results naturally unify the $L^p(M)$ estimates of Sogge and the $L^p(\gamma)$ restriction bounds of Burq, Gérard, and Tzvetkov, and are sharp for all $p \geq 2$, up to a $\lambda^\varepsilon$ loss. Second, we derive sharp estimates for the restriction of eigenfunctions to tubular neighborhoods of a curve with non-vanishing geodesic curvature. These estimates are closely related to a variable coefficient version of the Mizohata--Takeuchi conjecture, providing new insights into eigenfunction concentration phenomena.

Abstract:Let $\mathcal{L}$ be a second-order linear elliptic operator with complex coefficients. We show that if the $L^p$ Dirichlet problem for the elliptic system $\mathcal{L}(u)=0$ in a fixed Lipschitz domain $\Omega$ in $\mathbb{R}^d$ is solvable for some $1<p=p_0< \frac{2(d-1)}{d-2}$, then it is solvable for all $p$ satisfying $$ p_0<p< \frac{2(d-1)}{d-2} +\varepsilon. $$ The proof is based on a real-variable argument. It only requires that local solutions of $\mathcal{L}(u)=0$ satisfy a boundary Cacciopoli inequality.

Abstract:We develop a method for proving sup-norm and Hölder estimates for $\overline{\partial}$ on wide class of finite type pseudoconvex domains in $\mathbb{C}^n$. A fundamental obstruction to proving sup-norm estimates is the possibility of singular complex curves with exceptionally high order of contact with the boundary. Our method handles this problem, and in $\mathbb{C}^3$, we prove sup-norm and Hölder estimates for all bounded, pseudoconvex domains with real-analytic boundary.

Abstract:We prove sharp uniform $L^p$-bounds for low-lying eigenfunctions of non-self-adjoint semiclassical pseudodifferential operators $P$ on $\mathbb{R}^{n}$ whose principal symbols are doubly-characteristic at the origin of $\mathbb{R}^{2n}$. Our bounds hold under two main assumptions on $P$: (1) the total symbol of $P$ extends holomorphically to a neighborhood of $\mathbb{R}^{2n}$ in $\mathbb{C}^{2n}$, and (2) the quadratic approximation to the principal symbol of $P$ at the origin is elliptic along its singular space. Most notably, our assumptions on the quadratic approximation are less restrictive than those made in prior works, and our main theorem improves the already known results in the case when the symbol of $P$ is analytic.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove weighted $L^p$ estimates for the canonical solutions on product domains. As an application, we show that if $p\in [4, \infty)$, the $\bar\partial$ equation on the Hartogs triangle with $L^p$ data admits $L^p$ solutions with the desired estimates. For any $\epsilon>0$, by constructing an example with $L^p$ data but having no $L^{p+\epsilon}$ solutions, we verify the sharpness of the $L^p$ regularity on the Hartogs triangle.

Abstract:Almost everywhere convergence on the solution of Schrödinger equation is an important problem raised by Carleson in harmonic analysis. In recent years, this problem was essentially solved by building the sharp $L^p$-estimate of Schrödinger maximal function. Du-Guth-Li in \cite{DGL} proved the sharp $L^p$-estimates for all $p \geq 2$ in $\mathbb{R}^{2+1}$. Du-Zhang in \cite{DZ} proved the sharp $L^2$-estimate in $\mathbb{R}^{n+1}$ with $n \geq 3$, but for $p>2$ the sharp $L^p$-estimate of Schrödinger maximal function is still unknown. In this paper, we obtain partial results on this problem by using polynomial partitioning.

A new way to express boundary values in terms of holomorphic functions on planar Lipschitz domains

Abstract:We decompose $p$ - integrable functions on the boundary of a simply connected Lipschitz domain $\Omega \subset \mathbb C$ into the sum of the boundary values of two, uniquely determined holomorphic functions, where one is holomorphic in $\Omega$ while the other is holomorphic in $\mathbb C\setminus \overline{\Omega}$ and vanishes at infinity. This decomposition has been described previously for smooth functions on the boundary of a smooth domain. Uniqueness of the decomposition is elementary in the smooth case, but extending it to the $L^p$ setting relies upon a regularity result for the holomorphic Hardy space $h^p(b\Omega)$ which appears to be new even for smooth $\Omega$. An immediate consequence of our result will be a new characterization of the kernel of the Cauchy transform acting on $L^p(b\Omega)$. These results give a new perspective on the classical Dirichlet problem for harmonic functions and the Poisson formula even in the case of the disc. Further applications are presented along with directions for future work.

In this part, we consider the most difficult case, i.e., the underlying space is a general pseudo-convex domain. In order to solve this longstanding open problem, we introduce several new concepts and techniques, which have independent interest and pave the way for research that investigates some other issues in infinite-dimensional analysis.

Abstract:The paper is devoted to prove Allard-Michael-Simon-type $L^p$-Sobolev $(p>1)$ inequalities with explicit constants on Euclidean submanifolds of any codimension. Such inequalities contain, beside the Dirichlet $p$-energy, a term involving the mean curvature of the submanifold. Our results require separate discussions for the cases $p\geq 2$ and $1<p<2$, respectively; in particular, for $p\geq 2$, the coefficient in front of the Dirichlet $p$-energy is asymptotically sharp and codimension-free. Our argument is based on optimal mass transport theory on Euclidean submanifolds and it also provides an alternative, unified proof of the recent isoperimetric inequalities of Brendle (J. Amer. Math. Soc., 2021) and Brendle and Eichmair (Notices Amer. Math. Soc., 2024).
