Abstract:Background/aim: Trunk control, which plays a key role in balance and mobility, decreases in patients with multiple sclerosis (PwMS) and many parameters such as sensory, motor, and musculoskeletal systems affect trunk control. The aim of this study was to compare trunk control, spinal mobility, and spinal posture in PwMS with healthy controls and investigate the relationship between trunk control with spinal posture and spinal mobility in PwMS. Materials and methods: The study was completed with 38 PwMS and 38 healthy controls with matched age and sex. Trunk control was evaluated with the Trunk Impairment Scale (TIS). Spinal posture and mobility were evaluated in sagittal and frontal planes using an IDIAG M360 Spinal Mouse. Spinal posture was evaluated in upright, maximum flexion, extension, left and right lateral flexion positions, and spinal mobility was evaluated from upright to flexion, extension, right and left flexion positions in sagittal and frontal planes. Results: TIS scores, thoracic mobility angles (from upright to flexion and left lateral flexion), lumbar mobility angles (from upright to extension and right lateral flexion) and lumbar posture angle (maximum right lateral flexion) were lower, and thoracic posture angles (upright and maximum extension) were higher in PwMS than healthy controls (p < 0.05). No significant difference was found between other spinal postures and mobility values. In addition, there was only a negative relationship between thoracic spinal mobility from upright to extension and trunk control in PwMS (r = -0.349; p = 0.032). Conclusion: These findings indicate the importance of early detection of trunk disturbances in PwMS. Thus, even in the early stages of multiple sclerosis, detailed trunk assessment will guide the implementation of comprehensive exercise programs.

Abstract:How is jurisdiction transferred from an individual's biological body to agents of power such as the police, public prosecutors, and the judiciary, and what happens to these biological bodies when transformed from private into public objects? These questions are examined by analysing bodies situated at the intersection of science and law. More specifically, the transformation of ‘private bodies’ into ‘public bodies’ is analysed by going into the details of forensic DNA profiling in the Dutch jurisdiction. It will be argued that various ‘forensic genetic practices’ enact different forensic genetic bodies'. These enacted forensic genetic bodies are connected with various infringements of civil rights, which become articulated in exploring these forensic genetic bodies’‘normative registers’.
The effect of hemispheric lesion location on trunk control

Abstract:Background: Trunk control is the basic component of postural control, and achieving trunk control is a complex process that can be achieved by dynamically building and maintaining neuromuscular function. Lateropulsion, which is also defined as the body falling to one side, is considered an important condition that is frequently encountered after stroke and affects trunk control. It is known that there are differences in the regulation of postural control and trunk control according to hemispheric localization. We had a very specific group of patients and tried to find out the outcomes prospectively in this study. Methods: The patients were divided into 2 groups those with right hemisphere lesions (Group 1) and those with left hemisphere lesions (Group 2). Comorbidity and cognitive function were evaluated using the Charlson Comorbidity Index (CMI) and Standardized Mini-Mental State Test (SMMSE). Activities of daily living were evaluated using the Turkish version of the Modified Barthel Index (MBI). The Stroke Rehabilitation Assessment of Movement Instrument (STREAM) test was used to assess trunk control and the Brunnstrom (BS) test was used to assess motor functions. Results: There was a significant difference between Groups 1 and 2 in terms of STREAM in lower extremity scores were higher in Group 2 ( P < .05). The number of patients in BS lower extremity Stages IV-VI was higher in Group 1 and Group 2 ( P < .05). It was determined that upper extremity, lower extremity and Total STREAM scores and BS Hand stage in Group 2 were significantly higher than Group 1 in patients with total middle cerebral artery (MCA) affected( P < .05). Conclusion: It was determined that trunk control was more affected in patients with right hemispheric lesions. Additionally, trunk control is significantly affected in patients with total MCA lesions.

Abstract:Trunk control involves integration of sensorimotor information in the brain. Individuals with chronic low back pain (cLBP) have impaired trunk control and show differences in brain structure and function in sensorimotor areas compared with healthy controls (HC). However, the relationship between brain structure and trunk control in this group is not well understood. This cross-sectional study aimed to compare seated trunk control and sensorimotor white matter (WM) structure in people with cLBP and HC and explore relationships between WM properties and trunk control in each group. Thirty-two people with cLBP and 35 HC were tested sitting on an unstable chair to isolate trunk control; performance was measured using the 95% confidence ellipse area (CEA95) of center-of-pressure tracing. A WM network between cortical sensorimotor regions of interest was derived using probabilistic tractography. WM microstructure and anatomical connectivity between cortical sensorimotor regions were assessed. A mixed-model ANOVA showed that people with cLBP had worse trunk control than HC (F = 12.96; p < .001; ηp2 = .091). There were no differences in WM microstructure or anatomical connectivity between groups (p = 0.564 to 0.940). In the cLBP group, WM microstructure was moderately correlated (|r| = .456 to .565; p ≤ .009) with trunk control. Additionally, the cLBP group demonstrated stronger relationships between anatomical connectivity and trunk control (|r| = .377 to .618 p < .034) compared to the HC group. Unique to the cLBP group, WM connectivity between right somatosensory and left motor areas highlights the importance of interhemispheric information exchange for trunk control. Parietal areas associated with attention and spatial reference frames were also relevant to trunk control. These findings suggest that people with cLBP adopt a more cortically driven sensorimotor integration strategy for trunk control. Future research should replicate these findings and identify interventions to effectively modulate this strategy.

Abstract:Perceptual and Motor Skills, Ahead of Print. While trunk control is essential for daily activities and motor function, there is currently sparse information regarding the psychometric properties of the outcome measures used for assessing trunk control in Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), characterized by proximal muscle weakness. The Trunk Control Measurement Scale (TCMS) was developed to assess trunk control in children with cerebral palsy. We aimed to examine the reliability and validity of the Turkish version of the TCMS for children with DMD. We determined the functional level of 52 children with DMD (median age: 8.83 years) with the Vignos Scale, and we further evaluated them with the Motor Function Measure (MFM), a gold standard for determining the validity of the TCMS. Internal consistency of the Turkish TCMS was excellent with a Cronbach's alpha of .95. Intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) values for intra-rater reliability were between 0.90–0.96 and for inter-rater reliability were between 0.91–0.95. We reported positive moderate to strong correlations between the TCMS and trunk flexors strength (p < .001, r = 0.77), back extensors strength (p < .001, r = 0.68) and MFM (p < .001, r = 0.85). Thus, we found the Turkish version of TCMS to be a reliable and valid instrument for assessing trunk control of children with DMD in clinical and research settings.

Abstract:Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of trunk control on motor function, which plays an important role in the daily activities of children with Cerebral Palsy (CP) and is often observed as a deficiency in children with CP. Material and Methods: Forty children with spastic bilateral CP, ages between 3 to 10 years and with Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS) level I, II, and III were included in this study. Children were divided into two groups using randomization and in training group; Bobath Therapy for trunk control in addition to classical physiotherapy programs was performed for 45 minutes, for two days a week, for 6 weeks. In control group, existing physiotherapy program, 45 minutes for two days a week, continued. Any addition was not made into the existing program of the control group. Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS), Pediatric Berg Balance Scale (PBBS), Trunk Control Measurement Scale (TCMS), 1 Minute Walking Test (1MWT), Timed Up and Go Test (TUG) were applied to both groups before and after 6 weeks. Moreover, trunk muscle strength of children was evaluated. Results: After therapy, differences were found in results of MAS and PBBS, and trunk extensor strength between the training group and the control group in favor of the training group (p < 0.05). In addition, TCMS, 1MWT, TUG test and showed significant improvement compared to the average of the pre-treatment of the trunk muscle strength (p < 0.05). In addition, after treatment, training group’s averages of TCMS, PBBS, 1MWT, YUG test and all trunk muscle strength were higher compared to the ones before treatment (p < 0.05). Conclusion: This study shows that adding exercises which aim trunk to conventional physiotherapy and exercise programs of children with CP, affects motor function positively.
Trunk control and acute-phase multifactorial predictors of community mobility after stroke: a longitudinal observational study

Abstract:Introduction: Stroke is a detrimental condition associated with long-term functional impairments that restrict community reintegration, which is an indicator of successful post-stroke functional recovery and rehabilitation. Additionally, trunk control is an understudied factor that may contribute to community mobility and participation after stroke. This study aimed to identify predictors of community mobility among stroke survivors in the acute phase, with a primary focus on trunk control, in addition to exploring the mediating and moderating role of predictive factors. Methods: A longitudinal observational study included 61 participants with acute stroke. Trunk control test (TCT) during sitting, stroke severity, quality of life, fear of falls, depression, and age was assessed during the acute phase as potential predictors. The community mobility outcome measure was assessed 3 months after baseline using the Reintegration to Normal Living Index (RNLI). Statistical analyses included correlation, linear regression, mediation, and moderation analyses. Results: Trunk control test was the strongest predictor of RNLI among all factors (β = 0.72; 95%CI = 0.004–0.007; p ≤ 0.0001). Stroke severity, quality of life, fear of falls, and age significantly predicted RNLI ( p < 0.01). Higher age was a significant moderator of the relationship between TCT and RNLI (β = 0.002; p < 0.001; 95% CI = 0.0001–0.0003). Discussion: The findings highlight sitting trunk control impairment during the acute stage as a crucial predictor of reduced community mobility after stroke, where age over 60 years can moderate this relationship. The study emphasizes that addressing trunk control during early stroke rehabilitation may enhance community reintegration prospects.

Abstract:Purpose: To investigate the relationship between trunk control, upper and lower extremity function with functional activity, activities of daily living and quality of life in patients with Parkinson’s Disease (PwPD). Investigation of trunk muscle endurance and standing balance according to severity of disability in women with moderate to severe disability due to neck pain

Abstract:Objectives: To investigate the association between trunk muscle endurance, standing balance, and neck disability in women with chronic neck pain (CNP) and to compare trunk muscle endurance and standing balance according to disability severity. Methods: Thirty-one women with CNP and Neck Disability Index scores of 30%-70% were included. Isometric endurance times of neck flexors, trunk flexors, extensors, and lateral flexors were measured. Overall stability index (OSI), anterior/posterior stability index (APSI), and medial/lateral stability index (MLSI) were obtained to assess standing balance under the following conditions: eyes-open on a firm surface (EO-Firm), eyes-closed on a firm surface, eyes-open on foam, and eyes-closed on foam (EC-Foam). Higher index scores indicate larger postural sway. Linear regression analysis was used for association. Participants were divided into two groups based on their disability scores, either having moderate or severe disability, and the groups were compared. Results: Trunk flexor endurance time had an effect on disability (R-squared=0.18, F(1.29)=6.453) and APSI under the EC-Foam condition (R-squared=0.17, F(1.29)=6.105) (p<0.05). Trunk extensor endurance time had an effect on OSI under the EO-Firm condition (R-squared=0.14, F(1.29)=4.775, p<0.05). Women with moderate disability had longer endurance times than those with severe disability for trunk flexors (Cohen's d=0.89, p<0.05). Conclusion: Isometric endurance times of trunk flexors and extensors were associated with standing balance in women with CNP. Trunk flexor endurance was also associated with neck disability. Furthermore, women with moderate disability had better trunk flexor endurance than those with severe disability, with a large effect size.

Abstract:Altered trunk movements during gait in children with CP are considered compensatory due to lower limb impairments, although scientific evidence for this assumption has not yet been provided. This study aimed to study the functional relation between trunk and lower limb movement deficits during gait in children with spastic diplegia. Therefore, the relationship between trunk control in sitting, and trunk and lower limb movements during gait was explored in 20 children with spastic diplegia (age 9.2 ± 3 yrs; GMFCS level I n=10, level II n=10). Trunk control in sitting was assessed with the Trunk Control Measurement Scale (TCMS), a clinical measure that reflects the presence of an underlying trunk control deficit. Trunk movements during gait were measured with a recently developed trunk model including the pelvis, thorax, head, shoulder line and spine. Lower limb movements were assessed with the Plug-in-Gait model (Vicon(®)). Range of motion (ROM) of the different trunk segments was calculated, as well as the Trunk Profile Score (TPS) and Trunk Variable Scores (TVSs). Similarly, the Gait Profile Score (GPS) and Gait Variable Scores (GVSs) were calculated to describe altered lower limb movements during gait. Correlation analyses were performed between the presence of impaired trunk control in sitting (TCMS) and altered trunk movements during gait (ROM, TPS/TVSs) and between these altered trunk movements and lower limb movements (GPS/GVSs) during gait. A poorer performance on the TCMS correlated with increased ROM and TPS/TVSs, particularly for the thorax, indicating the presence of an underlying trunk control deficit. No significant correlation was found between the TPS and GPS, suggesting that overall trunk and lower limb movement deficits were not strongly associated. Only few correlations between specific lower limb deficits (GVSs for hip ab/adduction, knee flexion/extension and ankle flexion/extension) and TVSs for thorax lateral bending and rotation were found. This study provided first evidence that the altered trunk movements observed during gait should not be solely considered compensatory due to lower limb impairments, but that these may also partially reflect an underlying trunk control deficit. A better understanding of underlying trunk control deficits in children with CP may facilitate targeted therapy planning and ultimately can optimize a child's functionality.

Abstract:Older adults have a decreased trunk movement control which is linked to their higher fall risk. While motor/cognitive dual-tasking deteriorates balance and walking in older adults, there is limited understanding on how trunk kinematics and kinetics are affected by dual-tasking in scenarios where falls can occur. Therefore, the purpose of the study was to determine the impacts of a challenging motor dual-task, specifically obstacle avoidance during walking, on trunk and lower-body kinematics and kinetics of older adults compared to young adults. The study captured three-dimensional kinematic and kinetic data from 12 young adults and 10 older adults as they walked on a treadmill and stepped over an obstacle with both legs. The study analyzed trunk, hip, knee, and ankle angles and torques. Trunk torque was further broken down to trunk muscle torque, gravitational torque, and inertia torque. A linear mixed effects model was used to investigate the difference in each variable between the two groups. Older adults exhibited significantly increased trunk flexion angle and trunk extension muscle torque compared to young adults, with the trunk being the only segment/joint showing differences in both kinematics and kinetics. Trunk torque breakdown analysis revealed that larger trunk flexion led to a larger gravitational torque, which contributed to an increased compensatory trunk muscle torque. Moreover, older adults' less controlled trunk flexion during weight shifting from trail leg to the lead leg, necessitated a compensatory trunk deceleration during trail leg obstacle avoidance which was achieved by generating additional increase in trunk muscle torque. The study demonstrated that motor dual-tasking has the most negative effects on trunk control in older adults compared to young adults. This exposes older adults to a higher fall risk. Therefore, future work should focus on supporting trunk control during daily multi-tasking conditions where falls can occur.

Contributions of Ankle, Knee, Hip, and Trunk Muscle Function to Gait Performance in People With Multiple Sclerosis: A Cross-Sectional Analysis

Abstract:Background: The relative importance of lower extremity and trunk muscle function to gait in people with multiple sclerosis (MS) is unknown.Objective: This study aimed to investigate the association of lower extremity and trunk muscle function with gait performance in people who have MS and mild-to-moderate disability.Design: This was a cross-sectional, observational study.Methods: Participants were people who had an Expanded Disability Status Scale score of ≤ 5.5. Eleven lower extremity and trunk muscles were assessed using handheld dynamometry or endurance tests. Gait performance was assessed with the Timed 25-Foot (7.62 m) Walk (T25FW) and 6-Minute Walk Test (6MWT). Regression analysis was used to quantify the association between gait outcomes and muscle variables.Results: Seventy-two participants with MS and a mean Expanded Disability Status Scale score of 3.5 (SD = 1.14) were enrolled. Adjusted for age and sex, the multivariate model including hip abduction, ankle plantar flexion, trunk flexion, and knee flexion explained 57% of the adjusted variance in the T25FW; hip abduction, ankle plantar flexion, and trunk flexion explained 61% of the adjusted variance in the 6MWT. The strongest predictors were ankle plantar flexion endurance for the T25FW and hip abduction strength for the 6MWT: a 1-SD increase in ankle plantar flexion (15.2 heel-raise repetitions) was associated with a 0.33-second reduction in the T25WT (95% CI = - 0.71 to - 0.14 seconds); a 1-SD increase in normalized hip abduction strength (0.14 kg/body mass index) was associated with a 54.4-m increase in the 6MWT (28.99 to 79.81 m).Limitations: Different measurement scales for independent variables were included because the muscle function assessment used either force or endurance.Conclusions: For the major muscles in the lower extremity and trunk, hip abduction, ankle plantar flexion, trunk flexion, and knee flexion were the strongest predictors of gait performance.
Can Clinical Assessment of Postural Control Explain Locomotive Body Function, Mobility, Self-Care and Participation in Children with Cerebral Palsy?

Abstract:Trunk control may influence self-care, mobility, and participation, as well as how children living with cerebral palsy (CP) move around. Mobility and Gross Motor performance are described over environmental factors, while locomotion can be understood as the intrinsic ontogenetic automatic postural function of the central nervous system, and could be the underlying element explaining the relationship between these factors. Our goal is to study the correlation among Trunk Control Measurement Scale (TCMS) and Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory (PEDI) domains, as well as Locomotor Stages (LS). Methods: A feasibility observational analysis was designed including 25 children with CP who were assessed with these scales. Results: The strong correlation confirms higher levels of trunk control in children with better self-care, mobility and participation capacities. Strong correlations indicate also that higher LS show better levels of PEDI and TCMS domains. Conclusions: Our results suggest that more mature LS require higher levels of trunk control, benefitting self-care, mobility and social functions.

Abstract:Abstract Objective The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relative importance of different approaches to measure upper extremity selective voluntary motor control (SVMC), spasticity, strength, and trunk control for explaining self-care independence in children affected by upper motor neuron lesions. Methods Thirty-one patients (mean [SD] age = 12.5 [3.2] years) with mild to moderate arm function impairments participated in this observational study. Self-care independence was evaluated with the Functional Independence Measure for children (WeeFIM). Upper extremity SVMC was quantified with the Selective Control of the Upper Extremity Scale (SCUES), a similarity index (SISCUES) calculated from simultaneously recorded surface electromyography muscle activity patterns, and an accuracy and involuntary movement score derived from an inertial-measurement-unit–based assessgame. The Trunk Control Measurement Scale was applied and upper extremity spasticity (Modified Ashworth Scale) and strength (dynamometry) were assessed. To determine the relative importance of these factors for self-care independence, 3 regression models were created: 1 included only upper extremity SVMC measures, 1 included upper extremity and trunk SVMC measures (overall SVMC model), and 1 included all measures (final self-care model). Results In the upper extremity SVMC model (total variance explained 52.5%), the assessgame (30.7%) and SCUES (16.5%) were more important than the SISCUES (4.5%). In the overall SVMC model (75.0%), trunk SVMC (39.0%) was followed by the assessgame (21.1%), SCUES (11.0%), and SISCUES (4.5%). In the final self-care model (82.1%), trunk control explained 43.2%, upper extremity SVMC explained 23.1%, spasticity explained 12.3%, and strength explained 2.3%. Conclusion Although upper extremity SVMC explains a substantial portion of self-care independence, overall trunk control was even more important. Whether training trunk control and SVMC can translate to improved self-care independence should be the subject of future research. Impact This study highlights the importance of trunk control and selective voluntary motor control for self-care independence in children with upper motor neuron lesions.
Effects of intensive multiplanar trunk training coupled with dual-task exercises on balance, mobility, and fall risk in patients with stroke: a randomized controlled trial

Abstract:Objective We determined whether an exercise regime comprising high-intensity training, multiplanar trunk movements, and dual-task practice could improve trunk control, balance, functional mobility, and reduce fall risk in patients with hemiplegic stroke. Methods In this randomized controlled trial, 74 patients (mean age 61.71 years) were randomly assigned to the experimental and comparison groups. Primary outcome was trunk impairment scale (TIS) scores. Secondary outcomes were scores on the Berg balance scale, 10-meter walk test, Timed-up-and-go test, timed-Up-Go–cognitive, and Stroke Impact Scale-16 to measure between-group changes from baseline. We used linear mixed modeling to identify changes over time within and between groups on each scale and whether changes persisted at 6- and 12-month follow-ups. Results We observed significantly increased mean TIS scores from baseline to 3 months post-treatment (7.74); the increased scores were maintained at 6- and 12-month follow-ups (8.60 and 8.43, respectively). In the experimental group, all secondary outcomes showed significant and clinically meaningful results. Fall risk between groups was significantly reduced at 6 and 12 months. Conclusions Intensive multiplanar trunk movements coupled with dual-task practice promoted trunk control, balance, and functional recovery in patients with stroke, reduced fall risk, and improved independent mobility. Precision of trunk movement in people with chronic low back pain

Abstract:Background: Motor control exercise is commonly applied in people with chronic low back pain (CLBP), but possibly not all people with CLBP have motor control impairments. We suggest movement precision as measure to identify motor control impairments. Movement precision has been operationalized as trunk movement variability (TMV) and as trunk tracking error(s) (TTE). Objectives: To compare the known-group validity and the responsiveness of TMV and TTE. Design: We used a case-control comparison (Healthy controls (n = 30) vs CLBP (n = 60)) to assess the known-group validity. A cohort study, (measurements in week 3 and week 12 of treatment), was used to assess responsiveness. Methods: TMV (temporal (CyclSD) and spatial (MeanSD)) was analyzed during standing, repetitive flexion and rotation tasks (35x). TTE was measured during movement target tracking tasks, again in flexion and rotation. Participants with CLBP followed a multidisciplinary intervention and both measures were assessed in week 3 and week 12 of treatment. 2-way MANOVA and 2-way ANOVA were used to assess the effect of Group (CLBP vs healthy controls) and direction (flexion vs rotation) on TMV and TTE. For responsiveness, 2-way MANOVA and 2-way ANOVA were used to assess the effect of treatment and direction on both measures. Findings: At baseline, TMV was not different between groups, while TTE was higher in the people with CLBP (p = 0.005, np2 = 0.09). Treatment strongly decreased temporal TMV (p = 0.025, np2 = 0.33) and TTE (p < 0.001, np2 = 0.844). Conclusions: These results demonstrate that TTE is more sensitive to CLBP and more responsive to treatment than TMV.

Abstract:Perceptual and Motor Skills, Ahead of Print. Impairments of postural responses are a salient feature of children with cerebral palsy (CP). While the systems approach describes balance in seven components, the relationship between trunk control and balance in children with CP has not been previously examined with all seven of these components. In this study, we aimed to identify correlations between trunk control and all seven systems approach balance components in children with bilateral spastic CP. Our participants were 30 children (M age = 11.83, SD = 2.32 years) with CP having a Gross Motor Function Classification System level ranging from I to III. We assessed trunk control with the Trunk Control Measurement Scale, including static and dynamic balance (selective voluntary control and reaching). Balance in standing was assessed using Kids-Mini-BESTest involving four domains: anticipatory, reactive, sensory orientation and stability in gait. We used Spearman's rank correlations to correlate trunk control and balance, and we obtained a moderate correlation between the trunk control measurement scale and the Kids-Mini-BESTest in children with both bilateral spastic CP (rs = .618, p < .001) and spastic diplegic CP (rs = .52, p = .02). Analysis of the correlations between separate domains of the Kids-Mini-BESTest and the trunk control measurement scale subscales revealed moderate correlations between the static sitting balance subscale and all four domains of the Kids-Mini-BESTest. The dynamic selective motor control subscale of the trunk control measurement scale moderately correlated with the anticipatory domain of the Kids-Mini-BESTest. The dynamic reaching subscale also correlated moderately with anticipatory and stability in gait domains. This correlation was statistically significant in the 13 to 17-year-old age group and was strong among females, whereas the correlation was moderate in males. Trunk control was moderately associated with balance considering all the systems theory components of balance in children with bilateral spastic cerebral palsy.

Abstract:Evaluating trunk control ability is significant in guiding patients towards proper functional training. Most existing devices have only a singular assessment function, resulting in prolonged and asynchronous assessments. Devices with multi-dimensional assessment capabilities may address these limitations. This study utilizes a robotic brace, RoboBDsys-II, to assess the trunk ability of individuals with spinal disorders and to validate its effectiveness. The device can simultaneously collect kinematic, kinetic, and center of pressure data, reducing the assessment time and enabling the simultaneous assessment. The force platform is designed to measure the center of pressure and the force control of the parallel module is developed for the coronal movement assessment. Four patients with spinal cord injury participated in the study to assess their trunk range of motion and muscle strength. Results demonstrate that the trunk range of motion determines the center of pressure metrics in lateral bending experiments. Furthermore, RoboBDsys-II exhibits excellent test-retest reliability in lateral bending experiments and can reveal the muscle strength differences in different directions. The system has potential advantage in the trunk ability assessment.
