Abstract:This manuscript is concerned with the approximate controllability of fractional nonlinear differential equations with nonlocal conditions of order $1<q<2$ in Banach spaces. As far as we know, few articles have investigated this issue. The idea is to see under which sufficient conditions the proposed control problem is approximately controllable. The discussion is based on the theory of resolvent operator, fractional calculus techniques and Krasnoselskii's fixed point theorem under the assumption that the associated linear system is approximately controllable. The obtained results improve some existing analogous ones on this topic. Finally, an example is provided to illustrate the applications of the obtained results.

Abstract:This paper addresses the approximate controllability results for Hilfer fractional stochastic differential inclusions of order 1<q<2. Stochastic analysis, cosine families, fixed point theory, and fractional calculus provide the foundation of the main results. First, we explored the prospects of finding mild solutions for the Hilfer fractional stochastic differential equation. Subsequently, we determined that the specified system is approximately controllable. Finally, an example displays the theoretical application of the results.

Abstract:In this paper we study partial-approximate controllability of semilinear nonlocal fractional evolution equations in Hilbert spaces. By using fractional calculus, variational approach and approximating technique, we give the approximate problem of the control system and get the compactness of approximate solution set. Then new sufficient conditions for the partial-approximate controllability of the control system are obtained when the compactness conditions or Lipschitz conditions for the nonlocal function are not required. Finally, we apply our abstract results to the parial-approximate controllability of the semilinear heat equation and delay equation.

Abstract:We introduce the investigation of approximate controllability for a new class of nonlocal and noninstantaneous impulsive Hilfer fractional neutral stochastic integrodifferential equations with fractional Brownian motion. An appropriate set of sufficient conditions is derived for the considered system to be approximately controllable. For the main results, we use fractional calculus, stochastic analysis, fractional power of operators and Sadovskii's fixed point theorem. At the end, an example is also given to show the applicability of our obtained theory.

Abstract:This paper investigates partial approximate controllability of fractional linear and semi-linear control systems involving the conformable derivative. First, we derive sufficient and necessary conditions for partial approximate controllability of fractional linear systems over a small interval. Then, we apply a new approach, different from typical methods involving complexity inequalities and fixed point theorems, to obtain sufficient conditions for partial approximate controllability of semi-linear fractional control systems, assuming that the linear part is partially approximately controllable. The effectiveness of these results is demonstrated through an illustrative example.

Abstract:This article investigates the finite-approximate controllability properties for semi-linear integrodifferential systems involving higher-order fractional derivatives in Riemann-Liouville sense excluding Lipschitz assumptions of nonlinear operators. We discuss the existence of mild solutions by utilizing the Schaefer fixed point principle and compactness condition on the fractional resolvent. Then we show that one can steer the system in an arbitrary neighbourhood of any given target state simultaneously obeying the finitely many constraints. Lastly, an illustrative example is presented to validate the proposed methodology.

Abstract:This research focuses on utilizing the Mittag-Leffler kernel within stochastic differential systems to estimate the controllability of nonlocal Atangana–Baleanu fractional derivatives. By assuming the automatic control of the corresponding linear system, a novel set of necessary and sufficient conditions for the approximate controllability of the fractional stochastic differential inclusions of Atangana–Baleanu is established. Furthermore, the study explores the approximate controllability of the proposed system with infinite delay. The investigation relies on the fixed-point theorem for multivalued operators and fractional calculus to derive these outcomes. Lastly, an illustrative example is provided to highlight the practical implications of the research findings.

Abstract:Let $\Om\subset\RR^N$ a bounded domain with a Lipschitz continuous boundary. We study the controllability of the space-time fractional diffusion equation \begin{equation*} \begin{cases} \mathbb D_t^\alpha u+(-\Delta)^su=0\;\;&\mbox{ in }\;(0,T)\times\Omega\\ u=g &\mbox{ in }\;(0,T)\times(\RR^N\setminus\Omega)\\ u(0,\cdot)=u_0&\mbox{ in }\;\Omega, \end{cases} \end{equation*} where $u=u(t,x)$ is the state to be controlled and $g=g(t,x)$ is the control function which is localized in a subset $\mathcal O$ of $\Omc$. Here, $0<\alpha\le 1$, $0<s<1$ and $T>0$ be real numbers. After giving an explicit representation of solutions, we show that the system is always approximately controllable for every $T>0$, $u_0\in L^2(\Omega)$ and $g\in \mathcal D((0,T)\times\mathcal O)$ where $\mathcal O\subset(\RR^N\setminus\bOm)$ is any open set. The results obtained are sharp in the sense that such a system is never null controllable if $0<\alpha<1$. The proof of our result is based on a new unique continuation principle for the eigenvalues problem associated with the fractional Laplace operator subject to the zero exterior boundary condition that we have established.

Abstract:In this work, we study the existence of mild solutions and the approximate controllability for nonautonomous integrodifferential equations with state-dependent delay. We assume the approximate controllability of the linear part, then we use the resolvent operators theory to prove the approximate controllability of the nonlinear case. An example of one-dimensional heat equation with memory is given to illustrate our basic results.

Abstract:In this paper, we deal with the approximate controllability of fractional stochastic Sobolev‐type hemivariational differential systems of order r∈(1,2) with sectorial operators. Firstly, by using stochastic analysis, fractional calculus, sine and cosine family operators, sectorial operators, and the fixed‐point theorems of multivalued maps, we show the existence of mild solutions for the fractional stochastic evolution systems. Then, we provide a sufficient condition to guarantee the approximate controllability of the stochastic evolution systems. Next, our results cover problems involving nonlocal conditions. Finally, we present theoretical and practical applications to support the validity of the study.

Abstract:In this work, we investigate the partial exact controllability of fractional semilinear control systems in the sense of conformable derivatives. Initially, we establish the existence and uniqueness of the mild solution for this type of fractional control systems. Then, by employing a contraction mapping principle, we obtain sufficient conditions for the conformable fractional semilinear system to be partially exactly controllable, assuming that its associated linear part is partially exactly controllable. To demonstrate the efficacy of the theoretical findings, a typical example is provided at the end.

Abstract:This article explores the existence and approximate controllability of integral solutions for Hilfer fractional evolution equations in a non-dense domain. Leveraging the well-known generalized Banach contraction theorem, we establish both the existence and uniqueness of the integral solution. Furthermore, we adopt a sequential approach to derive results related to approximate controllability, without relying on the compactness of semigroups or the uniform boundedness of nonlinear functions. To validate our findings, we present and discuss an illustrative example.

Abstract:In this paper, we derive the approximate controllability of fractional evolution hemivariational inequalities in reflexive Banach spaces involving Caputo fractional derivatives. We first show that the original problem is connected with a fractional differential inclusion problem involving the Clarke subdifferential operator, and then we prove the approximate controllability of the original problem via the approximate controllability of the connected fractional differential inclusion problem. In the meantime, we face the issue of convexity in the multivalued fixed point map due to the nonlinear nature of the duality map in reflexive Banach spaces involved in the expression of the control. We resolve this convexity issue and deduce main result. We also justify the abstract finding of this paper through an example.

Abstract:This paper deals with the controllability for a class of non-autonomous neutral differential equations of fractional order with infinite delay in an abstract space. The semi-group theory of bounded linear operators, fractional calculus, and stochastic analysis techniques have been implemented to achieve the main result. We prove the existence of mild solution and controllability of the system by using the theory of measure of non-compactness, fixed point theorems, and $k$-set contractive mapping. An example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the abstract result.

Abstract:We study boundary regional controllability problems for a class of semilinear fractional systems. Sufficient conditions for regional boundary controllability are proved by assuming that the associated linear system is approximately regionally boundary controllable. The main result is obtained by using fractional powers of an operator and the fixed point technique under the approximate controllability of the corresponding linear system in a suitable subregion of the space domain. An algorithm is also proposed and some numerical simulations performed to illustrate the effectiveness of the obtained theoretical results.
