Abstract:We show that in the class of solvable Lie algebras there exist algebras which admit local derivations which are not ordinary derivation and also algebras for which every local derivation is a derivation. We found necessary and sufficient conditions under which any local derivation of solvable Lie algebras with abelian nilradical and one-dimensional complementary space is a derivation. Moreover, we prove that every local derivation on a finite-dimensional solvable Lie algebra with model nilradical and maximal dimension of complementary space is a derivation.

Abstract:We show that any local derivation on the solvable Leibniz algebras with model or abelian nilradicals, whose dimension of complementary space is maximal is a derivation. We show that solvable Leibniz algebras with abelian nilradicals, which have 1 dimension complementary space, admit local derivations which are not derivations. Moreover, similar problem concerning 2 -local derivations of such algebras is investigated and an example of solvable Leibniz algebra is given such that any 2 -local derivation on it is a derivation, but which admits local derivations which are not derivations.

In particular, the quotient space of the one consisting of all local derivations by the one consisting of all derivations of [math] on its [math]-dimensional simple module has the dimension [math] if [math] is odd, and [math] otherwise. On the other hand, each 2-local derivation of [math] on any finite-dimensional completely reducible module is a derivation.

Abstract:0. In this short note, we derive some nonabelian localization formulas in a very simple way. The method is to use Witten’s idea of multiplying the integral by a Gaussian and then to complete square. The localization procedure we use is different from Witten’s in that we do not need the Bismut localizing factor e−tDλ as in [W], at the same time we avoid the use of Fourier transform in [JK]. Along the way we will also derive Martin’s formula which relates nonabelian symplectic reduction to the abelian case. The method is rather elementary and applicable to other situations which we hope to discuss on a later occasion. We remark that all of the basic results in this note, which grows out of my trying to understand this circle of ideas, are due to Jeffrey-Kirwan, Martin and Witten. Our sole contribution is pointing out a different way to derive them. Other quite different approaches to such type results have also been obtained by Guillemin-Kalkman [GK], Martin [M] and Vergne [V]. The interested reader may compare these different methods and formulas. I would like to thank A. Astashkevich, S. Martin especially S. Abstract:In this work, we introduce the notion of local and $2$-local $\delta$-derivations and describe local and $2$-local $\frac{1}{2}$-derivation of finite-dimensional solvable Lie algebras with filiform, Heisenberg, and abelian nilradicals. Moreover, we describe the local $\frac{1}{2}$-derivation of oscillator Lie algebras, Schr{ö}dinger algebras, and Lie algebra with a three-dimensional simple part, whose radical is an irreducible module. We prove that an algebra with only trivial $\frac{1}{2}$-derivation does not admit local and $2$-local $\frac{1}{2}$-derivation, which is not $\frac{1}{2}$-derivation.

Abstract:We prove that every 2-local derivation from the algebra $M_n(\mathcal{A})(n>2)$ into its bimodule $M_n(\mathcal{M})$ is a derivation, where $\mathcal{A}$ is a unital Banach algebra and $\mathcal{M}$ is a unital $\mathcal{A}$-bimodule such that each Jordan derivation from $\mathcal{A}$ into $\mathcal{M}$ is an inner derivation, and that every 2-local derivation on a C*-algebra with a faithful traceable representation is a derivation. We also characterize local and 2-local Lie derivations on some algebras such as von Neumann algebras, nest algebras, Jiang-Su algebra and UHF algebras.

Abstract:The paper is devoted to the study of local derivations and automorphisms of nilpotent Lie algebras. Namely, we proved that nilpotent Lie algebras with indices of nilpotency $3$ and $4$ admit local derivation (local automorphisms) which is not a derivation (automorphisms). Further, it is presented a sufficient condition under which a nilpotent Lie algebra admits a local derivation which is not a derivation. With the same condition, it is proved the existence of pure local automorphism on a nilpotent Lie algebra. Finally, we present an $n$-dimensional non-associative algebra for which the space of local derivations coincides with the space of derivations.

Abstract:The present paper is devoted to study 2-local derivations on infinite-dimensional Lie algebras over a field of characteristic zero. We prove that all 2-local derivations on the Witt algebra as well as on the positive Witt algebra are (global)derivations, and give an example of infinite-dimensional Lie algebra with a 2-local derivation which is not a derivation.

Abstract:The paper is devoted to the description of $2$-local derivations on von Neumann algebras. Earlier it was proved that every $2$-local derivation on a semi-finite von Neumann algebra is a derivation. In this paper, using the analogue of Gleason Theorem for signed measures, we extend this result to type $III$ von Neumann algebras. This implies that on arbitrary von Neumann algebra each $2$-local derivation is a derivation.

Abstract:<span>A quadratic Lie conformal algebra corresponds to a Hamiltonian pair in Gel'fend and Dorfman (Hamiltonian operators and algebraic structures related to them. Funkts Anal Prilozhen. 1979;13:13–30), which plays fundamental roles in completely integrable systems. Moreover, it also corresponds to a certain compatible pair of a Lie algebra and a Novikov algebra which was called Gel'fand–Dorfman bialgebra by Xu (Quadratic conformal superalgebras. J Algebra. 2000;231:1–38). In this paper, central extensions and conformal derivations of quadratic Lie conformal algebras are studied in terms of Gel'fand–Dorfman bialgebras. It is shown that central extensions and conformal derivations of a quadratic Lie conformal algebra are related with some bilinear forms and some operators of the corresponding Gel'fand–Dorfman bialgebra, respectively.</span>
