Abstract:In the communication by Ke-Feng Zhang, Jing Nie, Ran Guo, Yan Zheng and Jun-An Ma, in Issue 17, 2013 (Adv. Synth. Catal. 2013, 355, 3497–3502; DOI: ), there was an error in the naming of the absolute stereochemistry of the catalyst 1. All examples of catalyst 1 used in this article are the (R)-enantiomer: they were incorrectly named (S) throughout the article. Nevertheless, the drawings shown in both Table 1 and in the proposed transition state structure are correct. In addition, there were errors in the drawings of the structures of 4a in Table 1 and of 4u in Figure 2, top; the correct structures are the following:1 The authors apologize for these nomenclature and drawing errors.

Abstract:In dieser Zuschrift wurde für 2′ ein Diastereomerenverhältnis (d.r.) >99:1 angegeben (bestimmt durch 19F-NMR-Spektroskopie in CHCl3). In Untersuchungen zur Deuterierung von α-Fluorsulfoximinen mit verschiedenen N-Substituenten haben die Autoren erkannt, dass der beschriebene d.r.-Wert für 2′ (>99:1) inkorrekt ist. Dieser Fehler ist die Folge einer zufälligen Überlappung von 19F-NMR-Signalen der beiden Diastereomere von 2′ (siehe die Hintergrundinformationen der Zuschrift, S. 3–4). Der korrekte d.r.-Wert für 2′ sollte 68:32 sein (bestimmt durch 1H-NMR-Spektroskopie in CDCl3; siehe die Hintergrundinformationen zu dieser Berichtigung). Dieser korrekte d.r.-Wert wurde durch eine 19F-NMR-Messung an 2′ in [D6]DMSO bestätigt (siehe die Hintergrundinformationen zu dieser Berichtigung). Abstract:An efficient, fast and facile pyrazolo[1,5- a ]pyrimidine synthetic protocol has been established by the condensation of aminopyrazoles with 1,3-dicarbonyl components in AcOH/H 2 SO 4 system. The pyrazolo[1,5- a ]pyrimidine sulfides were selectively oxidized to the sulfones via a temperature-controlled stepwise oxidative fashion. The correlation between the substitution patterns of these pyrazolo[1,5- a ]pyrimidines and their fluorescent spectroscopic properties were further examined, which provided the fundamentals for their potential applications in the development of new fluorescent probes. Red-shifts were easily achieved by the incorporation of unsaturated groups at the 5- and 7-positions, which suggested an approach for synthesizing long wavelength pyrazolo[1,5- a ]pyrimidine dyes. The fluorescent spectroscopic properties were found to be sensitive to the hydroxy-containing and carbonyl-containing media such as alcohol and acetone, which helps to confirm the promising perspectives of further investigations in this area.
