Abstract:We define subscripted unstable higher Toda brackets and study their elementary properties. This paper is the continuation of our previous paper in which we defined the non-subscripted unstable higher Toda brackets.

Abstract:We describe two ways to define higher order Toda brackets in a pointed simplicial model category $\mathcal{D}$: one is a recursive definition using model categorical constructions, and the second uses the associated simplicial enrichment. We show that these two definitions agree, by providing a third, diagrammatic, description of the Toda bracket, and explain how it serves as the obstruction to rectifying a certain homotopy-commutative diagram in $\mathcal{D}$.

Abstract:This paper tackles \textit{N. Oda}'s extension problems for the homotopy groups $\pi_{39}(S^{6})$, $\pi_{40}(S^{7})$, and $\pi_{41}(S^{8})$ localized at 2, the issues having eluded resolution for more than four decades. We introduce a tool for the theory of determinations of unstable homotopy groups, namely, the rectangular Toda bracket, by which we are able to solve the extension problems with respect to these three homotopy groups.

Abstract:We set up a generalization of ubiquitous one parameter families in algebraic geometry and its use for stability theories ([Mum65, HL14, AHLH23]) to families over toric varieties, Novikov type rings, or its complex analytic analogues. The language allows us to reformulate degenerations of "irrational" direction in various literatures as canonical objects in a unified manner. Compatibly, we generalize the stable reduction type theorem for $\Theta$-stratification in [AHLH23] of Langton type to our higher rank setup.

Abstract:Using construction of logarithm of a difference operator, we present the Lax pair formalism for certain extension of the continuous version of the classical Toda lattice hierarchy, provide a well defined notion of tau function for its solutions, and give an explicit formulation of the relationship between the CP1 topological sigma model and the extended Toda hierarchy. We also establish an equivalence of the latter with certain extension of the nonlinear Schrodinger hierarchy.

Abstract:In this note we continue our development of tannakizations of symmetric monoidal infinity-categories, begun in our previous paper. The issue treated in this paper is the calculation of tannakizations of examples of symmetric monoidal stable infinity-categories with fiber functors. We consider the case of symmetric monoidal infinity-categories of perfect complexes on perfect derived stacks. The first main result especially says that our tannakization includes the bar construction for an augmented commutative ring spectrum and its equivariant version as a special case. We apply it to the study of the tannakization of the stable infinity-category of mixed Tate motives over a perfect field. We prove that its tannakization can be obtained from the torus-equivariant bar construction of a commutative differential graded algebra equipped with torus-action. Moreover, under Beilinson-Soule vanishing conjecture, we prove that the underlying group scheme of the tannakization is the conventional motivic Galois group for mixed Tate motives. The case of Artin motives is also included.

Abstract:We introduce a notion of unstable algebra over an operad in general characteristic. We show that the unstable algebra freely generated by an unstable module is itself a free algebra under suitable conditions. We introduce a family of '$q$-level' operads which allows us to identify unstable modules studied by Brown--Gitler, Miller and Carlsson to free unstable $q$-level algebras.

Abstract:Weakly stable torsion classes were introduced by the author and Yekutieli to provide a torsion theoretic characterisation of the notion of weak proregularity from commutative algebra. In this paper we investigate weakly stable torsion classes, with a focus on aspects related to localisation and completion. We characterise when torsion classes arising from left denominator sets and idempotent ideals are weakly stable. We show that every weakly stable torsion class T can be associated with a dg ring AT; in well behaved situations there is a homological epimorphism A → AT. We end by studying torsion and completion with respect to a single regular and normal element.

On Higher Topological T-duality Functors

Abstract:We propose a higher version of the Topological T-duality Functor $P$ of Bunke and co-workers \cite{BunkeS1}. We begin with an introduction to T-duality in string theory and Topological T-duality. We then study morphisms in the category of pairs $\C_X$ over $X$ defined in Ref.\ \cite{BunkeS1}. For every $X$ we naturally construct a simplicial complex $G(X)$ from $\C_X$ and study its homotopy properties. We calculate all the homotopy groups of $G(X).$ We show that $P$ is naturally $\pi_0(G(X)) \simeq P_0(X)$ and define $P_i$ as the higher homotopy groups of $G(X).$ We argue that the $P_i$ are invariant under the action of Topological T-duality on $\C_X.$ We argue that $G(X)$ is a way of labelling toroidally compactified vacua in string field theory with $X$ as the space of uncompactified directions. We also argue that $P_0, P_1$ may be described naturally in terms of string field theory. We study some properties of the functors $P_0,P_1.$ We show the connection between these functors and topological T-duality for triples studied in Ref.\ \cite{Pan2}. We also show that this approach to Topological T-duality gives us a natural definition of T-folds \cite{HullT}.

Poisson geometry of the infinite Toda lattice

Abstract:Many important conservative systems have a non canonical Hamiltonian formulation in terms of Lie-Poisson brackets. For integrable systems, this is usually the first of two or more compatible brackets. With few notable exceptions, such as the Euler, Poisson-Vlasov, KdV, or sine-Gordon equations, for example, for infinite dimensional systems this Lie-Poisson bracket formulation is mostly formal. It is our belief that these formal approaches can be given a solid functional analytic underpinning. The present paper formulates such an approach for the infinite Toda lattice. It raises fundamental issues about the nature of coadjoint orbits for certain Banach Lie groups and it poses questions about the nature of the integrability of the Toda lattice in infinite dimensions by providing a functional analytic framework in which these problems can be rigorously formulated. The background of the present work is the paper by Odzijewicz and Ratiu [2003] where the theory of Banach Lie-Poisson spaces was developed. The paper is organized as follows. Section 2 recalls the minimal necessary material from the aforementioned paper necessary for this work. Section 3 introduces the Banach Lie group of upper bidiagonal bounded operators and discusses the Lie-Poisson structure on the predual of its Lie algebra, the Banach space of lower bidiagonal trace class operators. Generic coadjoint orbits of this group are studied in detail in Section 3. The

Abstract:The nonholonomic dynamics can be described by the so-called nonholonomic bracket on the constrained submanifold, which is a non-integrable modification of the Poisson bracket of the ambient space, in this case, of the canonical bracket on the cotangent bundle of the configuration manifold. On the other hand, another bracket, also called nonholonomic bracket, was defined using the description of the problem in terms of skew-symmetric algebroids. Recently, reviewing two older papers by R. J. Eden, we have defined a new bracket which we call Eden bracket. In the present paper, we prove that these three brackets coincide. Moreover, the description of the nonholonomic bracket à la Eden has allowed us to make important advances in the study of Hamilton-Jacobi theory and the quantization of nonholonomic systems.

Abstract:Abstract This is the first installment in a series of papers illustrating how classical invariants of homological algebra and algebraic topology may be enriched with additional descriptive set theoretic information. To effect this enrichment, we show that many of these invariants may be naturally regarded as functors to the category, introduced herein, of groups with a Polish cover . The resulting definable invariants provide far stronger means of classification. In the present work we focus on the first derived functors of and . The resulting definable for pairs of countable abelian groups and definable for towers of Polish abelian groups substantially refine their classical counterparts. We show, for example, that the definable is a fully faithful contravariant functor from the category of finite‐rank torsion‐free abelian groups with no free summands; this contrasts with the fact that there are uncountably many non‐isomorphic such groups with isomorphic classical invariants . To facilitate our analysis, we introduce a general Ulam stability framework for groups with a Polish cover; within this framework we prove several rigidity results for non‐Archimedean abelian groups with a Polish cover. A special case of our main result answers a question of Kanovei and Reeken regarding quotients of ‐adic groups. Finally, using cocycle superrigidity methods for profinite actions of property (T) groups, we obtain a hierarchy of complexity degrees for the problem of classifying all group extensions of by up to base‐free isomorphism , when for prime numbers and .

A non-abelian version of Deligne's Fixed Part Theorem

Abstract:We formulate and prove a non-abelian analog of Deligne's Fixed Part theorem on Hodge classes, revisiting previous work of Jost--Zuo, Katzarkov--Pantev and Landesman--Litt. To this aim we study algebraically isomonodromic extensions of local systems and we relate them to variations of Hodge structures, for example we show that the Mumford-Tate group at a generic point stays constant in an algebraically isomonodromic extension of a variation of Hodge structure. v2: a few typos ironed and Thm 1.1 5) completed. v3: there was a Schlamassel leading to a mix-up of files. Abstract:This note remarks that the correspondence between non-unital algebras and augmented unital algebras can be derived from Hovey's Smith ideal theory. Abstract:We establish several strengthened versions of Lurie's Tannaka duality theorem for certain classes of spectral algebraic stacks. Our most general version of Tannaka duality identifies maps between stacks with exact symmetric monoidal functors between $\infty$-categories of quasi-coherent complexes which preserve connective and pseudo-coherent complexes.
