Abstract:A new analytical method was developed to simultaneously determine residues of 109 pesticides (including isomers) in the foods of animal origin. Acetonitrile was selected for accelerated solvent extraction (ASE) for effectively extracting the pesticides from the fatty samples. The cleanup was performed with an automated gel permeation chromatography (GPC) cleanup system. The prepared samples were analysed with GC–MS in the selected ion monitoring mode (SIM) using one target and two qualitative ions for each analyte. Chlorpyrifos-d10 was used as an internal standard. The lowest limit of detection was 0.3μgkg−1 for some pesticides. The recoveries and relative standard deviations (RSDs) were checked by spiking untreated samples with pesticides at 0.05, 0.1 and 0.2mgkg−1. The average recoveries of most pesticides were from 62.6% to 107.8%. The precision values expressed as RSD were all ⩽20.5% (n=6). Good linearity (r⩾0.99) was observed between 0.05 and 1.5μgmL−1.

Abstract:A high performance liquid chromatography/electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometric method has been developed for the simultaneous determination of nine carbamate pesticide residues in grains. Carbamate pesticides were extracted with acetonitrile, cleaned up with neutral-alumina column, and then analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography-electrospray (HPLC-ESI) (+) -tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS). Sample pre-treatment and LC-MS/MS analytical conditions were optimized. The linear range was 0. 1 - 100 g/L, the correlation coefficients were 0. 9986 - 0. 9998. The average recovenies of nine carbamate pesticides in spiked grains (from 0. 001 to 0. 05 mg/Kg) ranged from 73. 40% to 102. 0%, and the relative standard deviation were between 1. 3% and 9. 9%. The results indicate that the method developed is easier, faster, more sensitive and has a better purification effect. It also demonstrats that this multiresidue analysis method can meet the requirements for simultaneous determination of many carbamate pesticides in grains for import & export inspection.

Abstract:A high performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometric method was developed for the simultaneous determination of nine carbamates in wheat samples.Samples were extracted with acetonitrile and cleaned up with neutral-alumina column.,and then determined by HPLC-ESI(+)-MS/MS.In this study,special attention was given to the stability of the system and the matrix effects frequently observed in the ESI(+) process.Proper apporaches dealing with those problems were critically studied.It demonstrated that this multiresidue analysis method is easy,fast,and can meet the requirements for determination of real samples.

Abstract:Abstract Mycotoxins and pesticides regularly co-occur in agricultural products worldwide. Thus, humans can be exposed to both toxic contaminants and pesticides simultaneously, and multi-methods assessing the occurrence of various food contaminants and residues in a single method are necessary. A two-dimensional high performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry method for the analysis of 40 (modified) mycotoxins, two plant growth regulators, two tropane alkaloids, and 334 pesticides in cereals was developed. After an acetonitrile/water/formic acid (79:20:1, v/v/v) multi-analyte extraction procedure, extracts were injected into the two-dimensional setup, and an online clean-up was performed. The method was validated according to Commission Decision (EC) no. 657/2002 and document N° SANTE/12682/2019. Good linearity ( R 2 > 0.96), recovery data between 70-120%, repeatability and reproducibility values < 20%, and expanded measurement uncertainties < 50% were obtained for a wide range of analytes, including very polar substances like deoxynivalenol-3-glucoside and methamidophos. However, results for fumonisins, zearalenone-14,16-disulfate, acid-labile pesticides, and carbamates were unsatisfying. Limits of quantification meeting maximum (residue) limits were achieved for most analytes. Matrix effects varied highly (−85 to +1574%) and were mainly observed for analytes eluting in the first dimension and early-eluting analytes in the second dimension. The application of the method demonstrated the co-occurrence of different types of cereals with 28 toxins and pesticides. Overall, 86% of the samples showed positive findings with at least one mycotoxin, plant growth regulator, or pesticide. Graphical abstract

Abstract:A sensitive method for the determination of three new pesticides (trifludimoxazin, pyraziflumid and picarbutrazox) in cereals, vegetables and fruits samples has been developed using ultra-performance liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry. The analytes were extracted using acetonitrile containing 1% formic acid, and then the extracts were purified using primary secondary amine and octadecylsilane. The compounds were eluted in < 3.5 min using an electrospray ionization source in positive mode. Good linearities (R2 > 0.9916) were acquired for the analytes in all matrices. The limit of detection and quantification were 0.05–5 μg kg−1 and 10 μg kg−1 for all the three target compounds, respectively. The recoveries were 74.4–105.1% and the relative standard deviations values were lower than 12.4% at three spiked levels (10, 100 and 500 μg kg−1). The results indicated that the method is reliable for monitoring the three pesticides in cereals, vegetables and fruits.

Abstract:A multiresidue method for the analysis of over 140 multiclass pesticides in fruiting vegetables, based on quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe (QuEChERS) sample preparation procedure followed by gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS), was established. In the validation study, the overall recoveries from spiked samples were 102 ± 7, 95 ± 7, and 95 ± 7 % with RSD values of 7 ± 3, 7 ± 4, and 7 ± 3 % at the spiking levels of 0.01, 0.05, and 0.5 mg kg−1, respectively, demonstrating fitness for purpose of the method. The limit of quantification (LOQ) was 0.01 mg kg−1 for more than 90 % of the target compounds. The analysis of over 300 samples of tomatoes, sweet peppers, and cucumbers was carried out in 2006–2014. Of these samples, 52 % contained pesticide residues but the results of the assessment of dietary exposure supported the conclusion that the presence of pesticide residues was unlikely to have a negative effect on the health of consumers. Although some of the pesticides detected in years 2006–2009 are no longer approved in the European Union member countries (namely endosulfan, oxadixyl, procymidone, propargite, and tolylfluanid), the consumer dietary exposure was low and did not exceed 12 % of the acceptable daily intake (ADI) considering both adults’ and children’s diet. Regarding short-term exposure (acute), in only one case of procymidone in sweet pepper, the acute reference dose (ARfD) for children was exceeded by 139.6 % of the ARfD.

[Coronary angioplasty with the Monorail system via 6 French diagnostic catheters].

Abstract:We studied the use of "Monorail" system with Express (Scimed) balloon catheters for coronary angioplasty through 6 French (F) "high-flow" diagnostic catheters (Novoste, USCI). Prospectively, from July 1992 to January 1993, angioplasty of 31 lesions in 24 patients was attempted (1.3 lesions/procedure). Twenty procedures were of a single lesion and four were multi-vessel angioplasty. Fourteen lesions were in the left anterior descending or in its branches, 10 in the left circumflex or in its branches, 6 in the right coronary artery, and one in the distal anastomosis of an internal mammary artery graft. Thirteen lesions (42%) were type A, 17 (55%) type B and one (3%) type C. Balloon sizes varied between 2.0 and 3.5 mm. Twenty-nine lesions could be successfully dilated (93.5%); two cases were unsuccessful due to an acute occlusion in one and residual stenosis of more than 50% in the other. For only one case, another balloon catheter different from the "Monorail" system was necessary to complete a multi-vessel angioplasty. Coronary visualization and manipulation of the balloon through the tip of the diagnostic catheter were satisfactory in all cases, except with the 3.5 mm balloon catheter. Coronary angioplasty with "Monorail" system balloon catheters through 6 F "high-flow" diagnostic catheters is feasible and provides a high success rate in simple and moderately complex selected lesions, including multivessel angioplasty with advantages of smaller artery punction and the feasibility of performing coronary angioplasty with the same catheter used for diagnostic angiography.

Abstract:An analytical method for determination of GC-amenable pesticides in complex matrices, was validated based on QuEChERS sample preparation and gas chromatography tandem mass spectrometry. Performance of the method was tested according to the EU SANTE guidelines for 172 pesticides belonging to different chemical classes, in three representative complex matrices. Three concentration levels were tested in order to establish the lowest limit of quantification possible. For some matrix/pesticide combination, careful selection of the quantification/confirmation transitions was key to avoid interferences. Accurate quantification was achieved by standard addition. The number of compounds fulfilling EU SANTE criteria at 10 µg/kg and 100 µg/kg were 93 and 148 for roasted coffee, 93 and 112 for green tea and 98 and 111 for curry respectively. The method was further evaluated in different matrices (chili, clove, cumin, paprika and rosemary) with 50-90 % of the compounds fulfilling the validation criteria depending on the matrix.

Abstract:A new multi-residue method for determination of pesticide residues in a wide variety of fruit and vegetables, using the National Food Administration (NFA) ethyl acetate extraction and determination by means of LC-MS/MS, is presented. The method includes pesticides normally detected by LC-UV or LC-fluorescence such as benzimidazoles, carbamates, N-methylcarbamates and organophosphorus compounds with an oxidisable sulphide group as well. After extraction with ethyl acetate, the extract is concentrated and an aliquot of the extract is evaporated to dryness and redissolved in methanol before injection on LC-MS/MS. The method has been validated for 57 different pesticides and metabolites. Representative species from different commodity groups were chosen as matrices in order to study the influence from different matrices on recoveries. The fortification levels studied were 0.01-0.5 mg kg(-1). Matrix effects were tested for all matrices by means of standard addition to blank extracts. The matrix effect, expressed as signal in solvent compared to signal in matrix, was in general found to be small. The obtained recoveries are, with a few exceptions, in the range 70-100%. The proposed method is quick and straightforward and no additional clean-up steps are needed. The method can be used for the analysis of all 57 pesticides in one single determination step at 0.01 mg kg(-1).

Abstract:This article reports a comprehensive analytical method for the identification and quantification of a broad range of pesticides in green plant crops. The sample preparation method for pesticides involved an optimization of the QuEChERS-based extraction protocol, with sample mass, volume of added water, and the type of cleanup sorbent as variables. A sorbent combination based on ENVI-Carb and ChloroFiltr was examined. A highly efficient method was developed for the purification of plant extracts with 900 mg MgSO 4 , 150 mg PSA, and 15 mg ENVI-Carb at the d-SPE stage, combined with gas chromatography and liquid tandem mass spectrometry for the determination of 197 pesticides in crop plants containing chlorophyll. The method was validated in accordance with the requirements of international guidelines SANTE/11312/2021. The method was applied to quantify pesticide residues in 29 pairs of green crop plants and plants from the corresponding crop protection zone to verify whether the zones are effective barriers to prevent pesticides from penetrating outside agricultural areas. The number and types of agrochemical preparations were chosen by farmers. In total, more than 60 one- and several-component pesticide formulations were applied to the crops included in the study. The pesticide residues were detected in 21 crop samples and 3 samples from protection zones. Epoxiconazole, an active substance that was banned for use in 2021, was found in a spring barley sample. Based on the conducted research, the effectiveness of the protection zones has been clearly demonstrated, and it has been proven that environmental migration of pesticides and unauthorized agricultural practices pose a risk to ecosystems.

Simultaneous Determination of Multi-Component Mycotoxin Contaminants in Foods and Feeds by Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometry.

Abstract:The present study developed an improved analytical method for the simultaneous quantification of 17 kinds of Aspergillus, Fusarium and Penicillium mycotoxin contaminants in foods and feeds by ultra-performance liquid chromatography combined with electrospray ionization triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC–MS/MS) under the multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode, and especially focused on the optimization of extraction, clean-up, UPLC separation and MS/MS parameters of analytes. Homogenized samples were sequentially extracted by 84% (v/v) of acetonitrile aqueous solution with the selected internal standard (zearalanone) spiking, SPE clean-up with Mycosep 226 Aflazon+ Multifunctional cartridges, filtration, concentration and secondary filtration. Using double sample injection method, the analytes were separated by UPLC BEH C18 column (100mm×2.1mm I.D., 1.7μm), and eluted with ammonium acetate/methanol and aqueous ammonia/methanol for the ESI+ and ESI− analysis, respectively. The 10 positive ions and 7 negative ions of mycotoxins were separated by gradient elution with the retention time of 6.5 and 4min, respectively. The LOQ of selected analytes ranged from 0.01 to 0.70μgkg−1, which was lower than the criteria of EU, USA and other countries on the determination of the minimum limiting level of various mycotoxins in foods including baby foods and feed stuffs. Meanwhile, high correlation coefficients (r2>0.99) of 17 mycotoxins were obtained within their respective linear ranges (0.05–20μgkg−1 for 10 positive ions and 0.5–50μgkg−1 for 7 negative ions) and reasonable recoveries (70.6–119.0%) of them were also demonstrated in different spiked levels. This quantitative method has many advantages including simple pretreatment, rapid determination and high sensitivity, which could be applied to the determination and quantification of multi-component mycotoxin contaminants in complex matrixes. Meanwhile, the method successfully fulfilled the minimum limiting level requests from various countries.
Development of a Green Water-Induced Restricted Access Supramolecular Solvent Microextraction Method for Highly Improved Determination of Pesticides with a Wide Range of Polarity in Water Samples and Cereal Flours

Abstract:A novel green microextraction supramolecular (SUPRA)-based method for simultaneous preconcentration of seven pesticides, acetamiprid, azoxystrobin, bifenthrin, carbendazim, chlorpyrifos, imidacloprid, and tebuconazole, in water samples and cereal flours with further determination by HPLC-DAD was developed. The method uses 113 μL of 1-decanol as amphiphilic extractor and 500 μL of tetrahydrofuran as disperser solvent. To perform the method optimization, a 2 5 factorial design and Doehlert design combined with Derringer–Suich desirability function and response surface methodology were used. The microextraction of the pesticides was carried out at pH 6.3 in the presence of 5% NaCl (w/v), low vortex-assisted extraction time (30 s) and it was provided high preconcentration factors (3.6–266.1), and low LOQs (8.98–29.92 μg L −1 ). The intra-day ( n = 10) and inter-day ( n = 10) precision assessed as the percentage of relative standard deviation (%RSD) for concentrations of 50.0 and 200.0 μg L −1 varied from 1.7 to 4.1%. The method was successfully applied to determine pesticides in river and lake water samples using external calibration curves. Considering the property of restricted access materials of SUPRAs, the microextraction method was also applied to the direct treatment of solid samples of wheat, oat, and rice flours. High recovery values in the range of 80–112% were obtained, thereby proving the absence of possible interference from matrix components.

Development and validation of a GC × GC-ToFMS method for the quantification of pesticides in environmental waters

Abstract:Water is a fundamental resource for living things, which is why its control is necessary. The widespread use of pesticides for agricultural and non-agricultural purposes has resulted in the presence of their residues in surface water and groundwater resources. Their presence in water is regulated through different directives, such as the Groundwater Directive, the Drinking Water Directive, and the Water Framework Directive, modified later several times, setting a maximum concentration of 0.1 µg.L-1 for individual pesticides and their degradation products, and 0.5 µg.L-1 for total pesticide residues present in a sample. There are different kinds of pesticides (e.g., organophosphorus and organochlorine pesticides, triazines, chloroacetamides, triazoles, (thio)carbamates) that have diverse chemical structures. Their determination and monitoring in a single analytical procedure are possible through multiresidue methods. In this study, 53 pesticides belonging to different chemical classes and their metabolites were selected based on their local occurrence and investigated in surface water and groundwater from agricultural areas susceptible to pesticide contamination. The methodology consisted of a classical solid-phase extraction (SPE) for the purification and enrichment of the pesticides, with a subsequent analysis in multidimensional gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC×GC-MS). The quantification method was validated according to the Eurachem Guide in terms of linearity, precision, accuracy, limit of detection, and limit of quantification. After validation, the method was applied to 34 real-world water samples, and the results were compared with those obtained by a GC-QMS routine method.
Influence of QuEChERS modifications on recovery and matrix effect during the multi-residue pesticide analysis in soil by GC/MS/MS and GC/ECD/NPD

Abstract:A QuEChERS extraction followed by GC/MS/MS and GC-μECD/NPD for 216 pesticide and metabolites determination in soil simultaneously were developed and compared. Volume of water, volume and polarity of solvent, and cleanup sorbents (C18, GCB, PSA) were optimized. The QuEChERS with and without purification step were applied to estimate effectiveness of the method. The recovery and matrix effect (ME) were critical parameters within each tested procedure. The optimal method without cleanup was validated. Accuracy (expressed as recovery), precision (expressed as RSD), linearity, LOQ, and uncertainty were determined. The recoveries at the three spiking levels using matrix-matched standards ranged between 65 and 116% with RSD ≤17 and 60–112% with RSD ≤18% for MS/MS and μEC/NP, respectively. The LOQ ranged from 0.005–0.01 mg/kg for MS/MS to 0.05 mg/kg for μEC/NP. The ME for most of pesticides resulted in enhancement of the signal and depended on the analyte and detection system: MS/MS showed ME from −25 to 74%, while μEC/NP from −45 to 96%. A principal component analysis was performed to explain the relationships between physicochemical parameters and ME of 216 pesticides. The QuEChERS protocol without the cleanup step is a promising option to make the method less expensive and faster. This methodology was applied in routine analysis of 263 soil samples in which p,p’ DDT was the most frequently detected (23.5% of samples) and pendimethalin with the highest concentration (1.63 mg/kg).

Abstract:Modified QuEChERS and triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (LC and GC-MS/MS) technology were used to sequentially analyze pesticides, veterinary drugs, and mycotoxins in feed. In order to analyze the harmful substances that may remain or occur in the feed, we performed optimization experiments for sample preparation and LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS conditions. Optimized sample preparation involves extracting 5 g of sample with 15 mL of 0.25 M EDTA and 10 mL of acetonitrile. And some extracts were diluted 10-fold with 100 mM ammonium formate aqueous solution and analyzed by LC-MS/MS, and some extracts were purified through 25 mg PSA and analyzed by GC-MS/MS by adding an analyte protectant. We confirmed the matrix effect of feed ingredients and compound feeds, and added a dilution process after extraction to increase on-site efficiency. Matrix-matched calibration was applied for quantification. Method validation was performed for 197 pesticides, 56 components for veterinary drugs, and 5 components for toxins. All the components showed good linearity (r2 ≥ 0.98) in the developed analytical method. For most compounds, the limit of quantitation was 0.05 mg/kg. The recovery rate experiment was repeated three times at three concentrations including LOQ in feed ingredient, compound feed for livestock, and compound feed for pets. The recovery rate was 70.09-119.76% and relative standard deviations were ≤ 18.91%. And the accuracy and precision were further verified through cross-validation between laboratories. The developed analytical method was used to monitor 414 domestically distributed and imported feeds.

Abstract:This article summarizes the results of the validation studies of a multi-residue method for the determination of pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables. The results of the monitoring control programs carried out in Cyprus during 2016 are also presented. In total, 314 samples of fruits and vegetables were analyzed for residues of, in total, 243 different pesticides. Gas chromatography and liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC–MS/MS and LC–MS/MS) were used to assess the levels of pesticide residues. For the extraction of the compounds the ethyl acetate extraction method with Ultra Turrax (Christodoulou et al. in J Wine Res 26:81–98, 2015a, Int J Environ Anal Chem 95:894–910, 2015b) was modified so that a quick and efficient extraction method could be applied. For the validation of the method blank samples were spiked with a solution of 203 and 101 pesticides for the LC–MS/MS and GC–MS/MS analyses, respectively, at two levels. The validation study was in accordance with DG SANTE guidelines (European Commission, Safety of the Food Chain Pesticides and biocides SANTE/11813/2017 (21–22 November 2017 Rev.0), 2017). The scope of validation included recovery, linearity, limit of quantification and precision. The measurement uncertainty was calculated using the results of proficiency tests. Out of a total of 314 analyzed samples 196 (62.4 %) were found contaminated with pesticide residues, whereas 38.5 % of the samples contained more than one pesticide. 6.7 % of the samples exceeded the MRLs of the regulation EU 396/2005. The most frequently found pesticides were cypermethrin, boscalid, imidacloprid and tebuconazole.

Abstract:Abstract A method for detection, quantitation, and confirmation of more than 100 pesticides by gas chromatography (GC) with ion trap mass spectrometry (MS/MS) has been developed. The sensitivity of this method for many analytes is equal to or lower than those of selective GC detectors such as flame photometric detectors and electrolytic conductivity detectors. Using MS/MS, very low detection limits and good confirmation (1 precursor ion and 2 or more product ions) are achieved simultaneously. The entire list of pesticides is screened with 2 injections per sample. Samples are introduced onto the column by a temperature-programmed cold injection to maximize response. Each pesticide is run with its own unique set of parameters, which fragment the compound, retaining only the precursor ion. This ion is then refragmented to create a product spectrum. The selectivity of MS/MS gives a very clean spectrum, making compound identification and confirmation clear, even with a relatively dirty food matrix. If care is taken to maintain the injection port and guard column, this method can reliably identify and confirm more than 100 pesticides at the low parts-per-billion range.

Abstract:A multiresidue analytical method using a modification of the "quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe" (QuEChERS) sample preparation approach combined with liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) analysis was established and validated for the rapid determination of 69 pesticides at different levels (1-100 ng/g) in wheat and rice straws. In the quantitative analysis, the recoveries ranged from 70 to 120%, and consistent RSDs ≤ 20% were achieved for most of the target analytes (53 pesticides in wheat straw and 58 in rice straw). Almost all of the analytes achieved good linearity with R(2) > 0.98, and the limit of validation levels (LVLs) for diverse pesticides ranged from 1 to 10 ng/g. Different extraction and cleanup conditions were evaluated in both types of straw, leading to different options. The use of 0.1% formic acid or not in extraction with acetonitrile yielded similar final outcomes, but led to the use of a different sorbent in dispersive solid-phase extraction. Both options are efficient and useful for the multiresidue analysis of targeted pesticides in wheat and rice straw samples.
Validation of a global method for the simultaneous analysis of polar and non-polar pesticides by online extraction and LC-MS/MS

Abstract:Background: Multi-residue methods for pesticide analysis in food are available for many compounds, but polar pesticides are not generally included due to their specific properties, which include high polarity and low molecular weight. Single residue methods are therefore needed for sample preparation, while chromatographic separation often requires derivatization, ion paring, or dedicated methods suitable for polar compounds, mostly ion chromatography and hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC). These challenges affect the important pesticide glyphosate and the related compounds aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA) and glufosinate. There are only a few methods including these compounds in large-scale analysis, mostly complex methods based on multidimensional chromatography. Results: A new method, for the global online extraction and analysis of pesticides in beer was developed and validated. The method exploited an online trapping device, with reversed-phase (RP) and anion exchange properties, that can trap small molecules from liquid samples. The ion exchange mechanism was used to retain the very polar pesticides glyphosate, AMPA, and glufosinate. The hydrophobic properties of the trapping column were also exploited to trap pesticides suitable for multi-residue investigations. The chromatographic separation was optimized by comparison of HILIC and RP C30, which could separate pesticides, including the polar ones, with modulation by the trapping column after proper selection of the mobile phase composition and basic modifier. The validation for beer provided recoveries in the range 71-112 %, with <15 % RSD, and LOD and LOQ values of 0.02-1 and 0.3-3 μg L-1, respectively. The result was competitive with previous methods on polar pesticide analysis in beer. Significance: The method was validated for 15 pesticides, over the log Kow range from -4.4 to 4.5, using a methodology with single and fast chromatographic separation under conditions compatible with multi-residue analysis by RP-LC-MS/MS. In the case of beer, for which the method was validated, the sample preparation was also performed online, after simple degassing, and sample dilution.

Abstract:The consequences of climate change along with diverse food regulations and agricultural practices worldwide are complexifying the occurrence and management of chemical contaminants in food. In this context, we present an ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography high-resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS) approach for the simultaneous identification and quantitation of over 1100 pesticide residues, mycotoxins, and plant toxins in cereals and fruits and vegetables. Analytical conditions were optimized to maximize the scope of the targeted molecules, the reliability of compound identification, and quantification performance within a single method. The method was further transferred and validated in another laboratory to assess its ruggedness. Validation according to the SANTE 11312/2021v2 guidelines showed that 92% and 98% of the molecules fulfill the quantification criteria at the lowest validated level in the cereals and fruits and vegetables groups, respectively. Analysis of fifteen certified reference materials led to a 96% satisfactory rate of z-scores confirming method's competitiveness. Furthermore, the occurrence of these contaminants was studied in 205 cereals and grains samples collected worldwide. The low µg/kg quantification limits make this LC-HRMS method a valuable tool to ensure compliance toward regulations and to screen for non-regulated substances for which occurrence data are crucial for an appropriate risk evaluation.
