Abstract:CoSe2 nanosheet materials with a wrinkled sheet structure and large surface area were synthesized via a simple hydrothermal method. Then polyethyleneimine (PEI) was used to functionalize wrinkled CoSe2 (w-CoSe2) to make gold nanocubes (AuNCs) uniformly anchored onto the surface of PEI-w-CoSe2 via Au–N bonds. And its application in electrochemical immunosensors for the detection of dipropyl phthalate (DPrP) was studied. The obtained material was characterized by the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), transmission electron microscope (TEM), energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy. The effective surface area and conductivity of the electrode were enhanced by the introduction of AuNCs/PEI-w-CoSe2 nanocomposite. Cyclic voltammetry (CV), differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were used to characterize the performance of immunosensor. After DPrP binds to antibodies via the antigen–antibody interaction, [Fe(CN)6]3-/4- was used as a signal probe to monitor the change of oxidation current of different DPrP concentrations. Under optimal conditions, the electrochemical responses of the prepared immunosensor were linear when the DPrP concentrations ranged from 1 × 10−11 to 1 × 10−5 mol·L−1, with a detection limit of 1.39 × 10−12 mol·L−1. The coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.995, indicating that the degree of fitting is good. Besides, the constructed immunosensor exhibited acceptable reproducibility, selectivity, and stability. Therefore, it may be found that the composite material has good application prospects in the electrochemical sensors field.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is to develop a new type of electrochemical immunosensor for the detection of di - n - propyl phthalate (DPrP). Specifically, the author synthesized gold nanocubes/polyethyleneimine - modified wrinkled CoSe₂ nanomaterials (AuNCs/PEI - w - CoSe₂) and applied them to the electrochemical immunosensor to achieve highly sensitive and selective detection of DPrP. ### Key issues: 1. **Hazards of DPrP**: As a common plasticizer, DPrP is widely present in plastic products. It is easily released from plastic materials into the environment and may migrate into food. It has potential risks to human health, especially for reproduction and development. 2. **Limitations of existing detection methods**: Currently, commonly used DPrP detection methods such as high - performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography - mass spectrometry (GC - MS), high - performance liquid chromatography - mass spectrometry (HPLC - MS) and enzyme - linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), etc., are accurate but require complex equipment and professional operators, with high costs and complex operations. 3. **Developing a rapid and simple detection method**: In order to overcome the limitations of the above - mentioned methods, it is of great significance to develop a rapid, simple and low - cost DPrP detection method. The electrochemical method has become an ideal choice because of its low - cost and easy - to - operate characteristics. ### Solution: The author synthesized the AuNCs/PEI - w - CoSe₂ nanocomposite and applied it to the electrochemical immunosensor, successfully achieving highly sensitive and selective detection of DPrP. Under optimal conditions, the detection range of this sensor for DPrP is from \(1\times10^{-11}\text{mol/L}\) to \(1\times10^{-5}\text{mol/L}\), and the detection limit is \(1.39\times10^{-12}\text{mol/L}\), showing a good linear relationship (\(R^{2}=0.995\)), and having high reproducibility, selectivity and stability. ### Summary: This research has solved the problems of complexity and high cost in existing DPrP detection methods, providing a rapid, simple and highly sensitive electrochemical immunosensor, which has broad application prospects.
