Investigation and analysis on designs of embroidery patterns of Qiang Ethnic Minority

Abstract:Targeting features of elements in embroidery of Qiang Ethnic Minority,this thesis compares data of patterns in embroidery of Qiang Ethnic Minority,which has been collected,extracts molding elements of each theme of patterns,combines with historical and cultural connotation with theories of pattern design,analyzes its subject matter,molding,form,color characteristics and summarizes the graphic and textual materials.Finally,the analyses shows that the embroidery of Qiang Ethnic Minority holds high aesthetic value because the modeling of their patterns is vivid,the composition of their pictures is well-proportioned,the elements of their patterns are abundant and the art styles are forthright and sincere.Therefore,the embroidery of Qiang Ethnic Minority is of great value.Finally,this thesis not only puts forward problems in the development and design of the embroidery of Qiang Ethnic Minority but also proposes countermeasures.
