Abstract:We characterize when a coherent state or continuous frame for a Hilbert space may be sampled to obtain a frame, which solves the discretization problem for continuous frames. In particular, we prove that every bounded continuous frame for a Hilbert space may be sampled to obtain a frame.

Abstract:This paper gives a perturbation theorem for frames in a Hilbert space which is a generalization of a result by Casazza and Christensen. Then this result is applied to the Perturbation of regular sampling in shift-invariant spaces. Irregular sampling theorems for frames in wavelet subspaces are established for which it is easy to derive explicit formulas and algorithms to calculate the ranges of the perturbations for frames. Furthermore, improved estimates for the Perturbations are derived for the Perturbations of regular sampling in shift-invariant spaces.

Abstract:Motivated by recent work in Dynamical Sampling, we prove a necessary and sufficient condition for a frame in a separable and infinite-dimensional Hilbert space to admit the form $\{T^{n} \varphi \}_{n \geq 0}$ with $T \in B(H)$. Also, a characterization of all the vectors $\varphi$ for which $\{T^{n} \varphi \}_{n \geq 0}$ is a frame for some $T \in B(H)$ is provided. Some auxiliary results on operator representations of Riesz frames are given as well.

Abstract:Continuous frames and tensor products are important topics in theoretical physics. This paper combines those concepts. We derive fundamental properties of continuous frames for tensor product of Hilbert spaces. This includes, for example, the consistency property, i.e. preservation of the frame property under the tensor product, and the description of the canonical dual tensors by those on the Hilbert space level. We show the full characterization of all dual systems for a given continuous frame, a result interesting by itself, and apply this to dual tensor frames. Furthermore, we discuss the existence on non-simple tensor product (dual) frames. Continuous frame multipliers and their Schatten class properties are considered in the context of tensor products. In particular, we give sufficient conditions for obtaining partial trace multipliers of the same form, which is illustrated with examples related to short-time Fourier transform and wavelet localization operators. As an application, we offer an interpretation of a class of tensor product continuous frame multipliers as density operators for bipartite quantum states, and show how their structure can be restricted to the corresponding partial traces.

Abstract:We introduce the notion of a continuous biframe in a Hilbert space which is a generalization of discrete biframe in Hilbert space. Representation theorem for this type of generalized frame is verified and some characterizations of this biframe with the help of a invertible operator is given. Here we also introduce the concept of continuous biframe for the tensor products of Hilbert spaces and give an example. Further, we study dual continuous biframe and continuous biframe Bessel multiplier in Hilbert spaces and their tensor products.

Abstract:Motivated by the existence problem of Fourier frames on fractal measures, we introduce Bessel and frame measures for a given finite measure on Rd\mathbb {R}^d, as extensions of the notions of Bessel and frame spectra that correspond to bases of exponential functions. Not every finite compactly supported Borel measure admits frame measures. We present a general way of constructing Bessel/frame measures for a given measure. The idea is that if a convolution of two measures admits a Bessel measure, then one can use the Fourier transform of one of the measures in the convolution as a weight for the Bessel measure to obtain a Bessel measure for the other measure in the convolution. The same is true for frame measures, but with certain restrictions. We investigate some general properties of frame measures and their Beurling dimensions. In particular, we show that the Beurling dimension is invariant under convolution (with a probability measure) and under a certain type of discretization. Moreover, if a measure admits a frame measure, then it admits an atomic one, and hence a weighted Fourier frame. We also construct some examples of frame measures for self-similar measures.

Abstract:In the present paper, we examine the perturbation of continuous frames and Riesz-type frames in Hilbert C * -modules. We extend the Casazza–Christensen general perturbation theorem for Hilbert space frames to continuous frames in Hilbert C * -modules. We obtain a necessary condition under which the perturbation of a Riesz-type frame of Hilbert C * -modules remains to be a Riesz-type frame. Also, we examine the effect of duality on the perturbation of continuous frames in Hilbert C * -modules, and we prove that if the operator frame of a continuous frame F is near to the combination of the synthesis operator of a continuous Bessel mapping G and the analysis operator of F , then G is a continuous frame.

Abstract:This paper aims to explore the concept of continuous $ K $-frames in quaternionic Hilbert spaces. First, we investigate $ K $-frames in a single quaternionic Hilbert space $ \mathcal{H} $, where $ K $ is a right $\mathbb{H}$-linear bounded operator acting on $ \mathcal{H} $. Then, we extend the research to two quaternionic Hilbert spaces, $ \mathcal{H}_1 $ and $ \mathcal{H}_2 $, and study $ K_1 \oplus K_2 $-frames for the super quaternionic Hilbert space $ \mathcal{H}_1 \oplus \mathcal{H}_2 $, where $ K_1 $ and $ K_2 $ are right $\mathbb{H}$-linear bounded operators on $ \mathcal{H}_1 $ and $ \mathcal{H}_2 $, respectively. We examine the relationship between the continuous $ K_1 \oplus K_2 $-frames and the continuous $ K_1 $-frames for $ \mathcal{H}_1 $ and the continuous $ K_2 $-frames for $ \mathcal{H}_2 $. Additionally, we explore the duality between the continuous $ K_1 \oplus K_2 $-frames and the continuous $ K_1 $- and $ K_2 $-frames individually.

Abstract:The concept of frames, initially introduced by Duffin and Schaeffer, gained substantial recognition decades later when Daubechies, Grossman, and Meyer highlighted its significance. Since then, frame theory has become a fundamental and widely applicable tool across diverse branches of Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering Sciences. Driven by the extensive applications of model space frames in dynamical sampling, the study delves into an exploration of frames and their properties within the model space and RKHS. Moreover, the study systematically investigates the intrinsic features of model space frames and its reproducing counterparts, thoroughly examining and analyzing various characterizations of the same. Furthermore, several examples are provided to validate the results, demonstrating the practical applicability and correctness of the theoretical findings.

Abstract:There exist many attempts to define a Wigner function for quantum systems with finite-dimensional Hilbert space, each of them coming with its advantages and limitations. The existing finite versions have simple definitions, but they are based only on the existence of a formal analogy with the continuous-variable Wigner function and do not allow an intuitive state analysis. The continuous versions have more complicated definitions, but they are closer to the original Wigner function and allow a visualization of the quantum states. The version based on the concept of tight frame we present is finite, but it has certain properties and applications similar to those of continuous versions. It allows us to present a new graphical representation of qubit states, and to define new parameters concerning them. An important advantage of frame representation follows from the use of redundant information. The values taken by the frame version of Wigner function are not independent. They have to satisfy a large number of mathematical relations, useful in error detection and correction.

Abstract:A continuous g-frame is a generalization of g-frames and continuous frames, but they behave much differently from g-frames due to the underlying characteristic of measure spaces. Now, continuous g-frames have been extensively studied, while continuous g-sequences such as continuous g-frame sequence, g-Riesz sequences, and continuous g-orthonormal systems have not. This paper addresses continuous g-sequences. It is a continuation of Zhang and Li, in Numer. Func. Anal. Opt., 40 (2019), 1268-1290, where they dealt with g-sequences. In terms of synthesis and Gram operator methods, we in this paper characterize continuous g-Bessel, g-frame, and g-Riesz sequences, respectively, and obtain the Pythagorean theorem for continuous g-orthonormal systems. It is worth that our results are similar to the case of g-ones, but their proofs are nontrivial. It is because the definition of continuous g-sequences is different from that of g-sequences due to it involving general measure space.

Abstract:Continuous models used in physics and other areas of mathematics applications become discrete when they are computerized, e.g., utilized for computations. Besides, computers are controlling processes in discrete spaces, such as films and television programs. At the same time, continuous models that are in the background of discrete representations use mathematical technology developed for continuous media. The most important example of such a technology is calculus, which is so useful in physics and other sciences. The main goal of this paper is to synthesize continuous features and powerful technology of the classical calculus with the discrete approach of numerical mathematics and computational physics. To do this, we further develop the theory of fuzzy continuous functions and apply this theory to functions defined on discrete sets. The main interest is the classical Intermediate Value theorem. Although the result of this theorem is completely based on continuity, utilization of a relaxed version of continuity called fuzzy continuity, allows us to prove discrete versions of the Intermediate Value theorem. This result provides foundations for a new approach to discrete dynamics.
