Abstract:In this work, we derive a Lyapunov-type inequality for a partial differential equation on a rectangular domain with the mixed Caputo derivative subject to Dirichlet-type boundary conditions. The obtained inequality provides a necessary condition for the existence of nontrivial solutions to the considered problem and an example is given to illustrate it. Moreover, we present some applications to demonstrate the effectiveness of the new results.

Abstract:This paper deals with fractional boundary value problems involving the Hilfer fractional differential operator of order $1 < \alpha \leq 2$ and type $0 \leq \beta \leq 1$. We derive the corresponding Lyapunov-type inequalities for two prominent classes of Hilfer fractional boundary value problems (HFBVPs) involving separated and anti-periodic boundary conditions. For this purpose, we construct the associated Green's functions and deduce their important properties.

Abstract:In this investigation, we develop a theory for the hybrid boundary value problem for fractional differential equations subject to three-point boundary conditions, including the antiperiodic hybrid boundary condition. On suggested problems, the third-order Caputo–Fabrizio derivative is the fractional operator applied. In this regard, the corresponding hybrid fractional integral equation is obtained by the Caputo–Fabrizio operator's properties with the Green function's aid. Then, we apply Dhage's nonlinear alternative to the Schaefer type to prove the existence results. Finally, two examples are provided to confirm the validity of our main results.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to the existence and the Hyers–Ulam stability of solutions for certain types of nonlinear differential equations involving the Liouville–Caputo fractional derivative with multi-point boundary conditions and the p -Laplacian operator in Banach spaces. The existence of solutions is derived with the help of the well-known Darbo’s fixed point theorem. Finally, an illustrative example is presented to show the validity of the obtained results.

Abstract:In this paper, we presented and proved a general Lyapunov's inequality for a class of fractional boundary problems (FBPs) involving a new fractional derivative, named $ \lambda $-Hilfer. We proved a criterion of existence which extended that of Lyapunov concerning the ordinary case. We used this criterion to solve the fractional differential equation (FDE) subject to the Dirichlet boundary conditions. In order to do so, we invoked some properties and essential results of $ \lambda $-Hilfer fractional boundary value problem (HFBVP). This result also retrieved all previous Lyapunov-type inequalities for different types of boundary conditions as mixed. The order that we considered here only focused on $ 1 < r\leq 2 $. General Hartman-Wintner-type inequalities were also investigated. We presented an example in order to provide an application of this result.

Abstract:We consider a nonlinear fractional boundary value problem involving conformable variable-order derivative with Dirichlet conditions. We prove the existence of solutions to the considered problem by using the upper and lower solutions’ method with Schauder’s fixed-point theorem. In addition, under some assumptions on the nonlinear term, a new Lyapunov-type inequality is given for the corresponding boundary value problem. The obtained inequality provides a necessary condition for the existence of nontrivial solutions to the considered problem and a method to prove uniqueness for the nonhomogeneous boundary value problem. These new results are illustrated through examples.

Abstract:A hybrid system interacts with the discrete and continuous dynamics of a physical dynamical system. The notion of a hybrid system gives embedded control systems a great advantage. The Langevin differential equation can accurately depict many physical phenomena and help researchers effectively represent anomalous diffusion. This paper considers a fractional hybrid Langevin differential equation, including the ψ -Caputo fractional operator. Furthermore, some novel boundaries selected are considered to be a problem. We used the Schauder and Banach fixed-point theorems to prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions to the considered problem. Additionally, the Ulam-Hyer stability is evaluated. Finally, we present a representative example to verify the theoretical outcomes of our findings.

Abstract:It is well known that the Leibniz rule for the integer derivative of order one does not hold for the fractional derivative case when the fractional order lies between 0 and 1. Thus it poses a great difficulty in the calculation of fractional derivative of given functions as well as in the analysis of fractional order systems. In this work, we develop a few fractional differential inequalities which involve the Caputo fractional derivative of the product of continuously differentiable functions. We establish some of their properties and propose a few propositions. We show that these inequalities play a very essential role in the Lyapunov stability analysis of nonautonomous fractional order systems.

Abstract:In this article, we investigate sufficient conditions for the existence and stability of solutions to a coupled system of ψ-Caputo hybrid fractional derivatives of order 1<υ≤2 subjected to Dirichlet boundary conditions. We discuss the existence and uniqueness of solutions with the assistance of the Leray–Schauder alternative theorem and Banach's contraction principle. In addition, by using some mathematical techniques, we examine the stability results of Ulam–Hyers. Finally, we provide one example in order to show the validity of our results.

The fractional differential operator here is the standard Riemann-Liouville differentiation. By means of fixed point theorems, the existence and multiplicity results of positive solutions are received. Furthermore, two examples given here illustrate that the results are almost sharp.

Abstract:We prove new estimates of the Caputo derivative of order $\alpha \in (0,1]$ for some specific functions. The estimations are shown useful to construct Lyapunov functions for systems of fractional differential equations in biology, based on those known for ordinary differential equations, and therefore useful to determine the global stability of the equilibrium points for fractional systems. To illustrate the usefulness of our theoretical results, a fractional HIV population model and a fractional cellular model are studied. More precisely, we construct suitable Lyapunov functionals to demonstrate the global stability of the free and endemic equilibriums, for both fractional models, and we also perform some numerical simulations that confirm our choices.
