Abstract:In this paper we give stochastic solutions of conformable fractional Cauchy problems. The stochastic solutions are obtained by running the processes corresponding to Cauchy problems with a nonlinear deterministic clock.

Abstract:In numerous domains, fractional stochastic delay differential equations are used to model various physical phenomena, and the study of well-posedness ensures that the mathematical models accurately represent physical systems, allowing for meaningful predictions and analysis. A fractional stochastic differential equation is considered well-posed if its solution satisfies the existence, uniqueness, and continuous dependency properties. We established the well-posedness and regularity of solutions of conformable fractional stochastic delay differential equations (CFrSDDEs) of order $ \gamma\in(\frac{1}{2}, 1) $ in $ \mathbb{L}^{\mathrm{p}} $ spaces with $ \mathrm{p}\geq2 $, whose coefficients satisfied a standard Lipschitz condition. More specifically, we first demonstrated the existence and uniqueness of solutions; after that, we demonstrated the continuous dependency of solutions on both the initial values and fractional exponent $ \gamma $. The second section was devoted to examining the regularity of time. As a result, we found that, for each $ \Phi\in(0, \gamma-\frac{1}{2}) $, the solution to the considered problem has a $ \Phi- $H$ \ddot o $lder continuous version. Lastly, two examples that highlighted our findings were provided. The two main elements of the proof were the Burkholder-Davis-Gundy inequality and the weighted norm.

Abstract:Theoretical and numerical studies of fractional conformable stochastic integrodifferential equations are introduced in this study. Herein, to emphasize the solution's existence, we provide proof based on Picard iterations and Arzela−Ascoli's theorem, whilst the proof of the uniqueness mainly depends on the famous Gronwall's inequality. Also, we introduce the basic concepts related to shifted Legendre orthogonal polynomials which are utilized to be the basic functions of the spectral collocation algorithm to obtain approximate solutions for the mentioned equations that are not easy to be solved analytically. The substantial idea of the proposed algorithm is to transform such equations into a system containing a finite number of algebraic equations that can be treated using familiar numerical methods. For computational aims, we make a suitable discretization to evaluate the values of the Brownian motion, the noise term considered in our problem, at specific points. In addition, the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed algorithm are proved through convergence analysis and mathematical examples. To exhibit the mathematical simulation, graphs and tables are lucidly shown. Obviously, the physical interpretation of the displayed graphics accurately describes the behavior of the solutions. Despite the simplicity of the presented technique, it produces accurate and reasonable results as notarized in the conclusion section.

Abstract:The nonlinear fractional Boussinesq equations are known as the fractional differential equation class that has an important place in mathematical physics. In this study, a method called (G'G^2)-extension method which works well and reveals exact solutions is used to examine nonlinear Boussinesq equations with conformable time-fractional derivatives. This method is a very useful approach and extremely useful compared to other analytical methods. With the proposed method, there are three unique types of solutions such as hyperbolic, trigonometric and rational solutions. This approach can similarly be applied to other nonlinear fractional models.

Abstract:In a fractional Cauchy problem, the usual first order time derivative is replaced by a fractional derivative. The fractional derivative models time delays in a diffusion process. The order of the fractional derivative can be distributed over the unit interval, to model a mixture of delay sources. In this paper, we provide explicit strong solutions and stochastic analogues for distributed-order fractional Cauchy problems on bounded domains with Dirichlet boundary conditions. Stochastic solutions are constructed using a non-Markovian time change of a killed Markov process generated by a uniformly elliptic second order space derivative operator.

Abstract:The objective of this paper is to investigate the existence of mild solutions and optimal controls for a class of fractional neutral stochastic differential equations (NSDEs) driven by fractional Brownian motion and Poisson jumps in Hilbert spaces. First, we establish a new set of sufficient conditions for the existence of mild solutions of the aforementioned fractional systems by using the successive approximation approach. The results are formulated and proved by using the fractional calculus, solution operator, and stochastic analysis techniques. The existence of optimal control pairs of system governed by fractional NSDEs driven by fractional Brownian motion and Poisson jumps is also been presented. An example is provided to illustrate the theory.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate analytical solutions of multi-time scale fractional stochastic differential equations driven by fractional Brownian motions. We firstly decompose homogeneous multi-time scale fractional stochastic differential equations driven by fractional Brownian motions into independent differential subequations, and give their analytical solutions. Then, we use the variation of constant parameters to obtain the solutions of nonhomogeneous multi-time scale fractional stochastic differential equations driven by fractional Brownian motions. Finally, we give three examples to demonstrate the applicability of our obtained results.

Abstract:An accelerated convergence scheme for temporal approximation of stochastic partial differential equation is presented. First, the regularity of the mild solution is provided. Combining the Itô formula and the remainder term of the exponential Euler scheme, this paper proposes a high accuracy time discretization method. Based on regularity results, a strong convergence rate for the discretization error O(τ32-ϵ)$$O(\tau ^{\frac{3}{2}-\epsilon })$$ is proved for arbitrarily small ϵ>0$$\epsilon >0$$. Here τ$$\tau $$ is the uniform time step size. Finally, the theoretical results are verified by several numerical experiments.

Abstract:The work in this paper is four-fold. Firstly, we introduce an alternative approach to solve fractional ordinary differential equations as an expected value of a random time process. Using the latter, we present an interesting numerical approach based on Monte Carlo integration to simulate solutions of fractional ordinary and partial differential equations. Thirdly, we show that this approach allows us to find the fundamental solutions for fractional partial differential equations (PDEs), in which the fractional derivative in time is in the Caputo sense and the fractional in space one is in the Riesz-Feller sense. Lastly, using Riccati equation, we study families of fractional PDEs with variable coefficients which allow explicit solutions. Those solutions connect Lie symmetries to fractional PDEs.

Abstract:In a fractional Cauchy problem, the usual first order time derivative is replaced by a fractional derivative. This problem was first considered by \citet{nigmatullin}, and \citet{zaslavsky} in $\mathbb R^d$ for modeling some physical phenomena. The fractional derivative models time delays in a diffusion process. We will give a survey of the recent results on the fractional Cauchy problem and its generalizations on bounded domains $D\subset \rd$ obtained in \citet{m-n-v-aop, mnv-2}. We also study the solutions of fractional Cauchy problem where the first time derivative is replaced with an infinite sum of fractional derivatives. We point out a connection to eigenvalue problems for the fractional time operators considered. The solutions to the eigenvalue problems are expressed by Mittag-Leffler functions and its generalized versions. The stochastic solution of the eigenvalue problems for the fractional derivatives are given by inverse subordinators.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider stochastic differential equations with non-negativity constraints, driven by a fractional Brownian motion with Hurst parameter H > 1/2. We first study an ordinary integral equation, where the integral is defined in the Young sense, and we prove an existence result and the boundedness of the solutions. Then, we apply this result pathwise to solve the stochastic problem.

Abstract:The time‐fractional nonlinear stochastic fourth‐order reaction diffusion equation perturbed by the noise is paid close attention by the conforming finite element method in this paper. The semi‐ and fully discrete schemes are obtained. Further, the convergence orders of the semi‐ and fully discrete schemes in L2 norm are given detailed proof. The numerical tests are gotten to verify the theoretical result.

A Stochastic Simulation Method for Fractional Order Compartment Models

Abstract:Our study focuses on fractional order compartment models derived from underlying physical stochastic processes, providing a more physically grounded approach compared to models that use the dynamical system approach by simply replacing integer-order derivatives with fractional order derivatives. In these models, inherent stochasticity becomes important, particularly when dealing with the dynamics of small populations far from the continuum limit of large particle numbers. The necessity for stochastic simulations arises from deviations of the mean states from those obtained from the governing equations in these scenarios. To address this, we introduce an exact stochastic simulation algorithm designed for fractional order compartment models, based on a semi-Markov process. We have considered a fractional order resusceptibility SIS model and a fractional order recovery SIR model as illustrative examples, highlighting significant disparities between deterministic and stochastic dynamics when the total population is small. Beyond its modeling applications, the algorithm presented serves as a versatile tool for solving fractional order differential equations via Monte Carlo simulations.

Abstract:We consider a stochastic control problem for a non-linear forward-backward stochastic differential equation driven by fractional Brownian motion, with Hurst parameter H ∈ ( 0 , 1 ) , in the case where the set of the control domain is convex. We provide an estimation of the solution and establish the necessary and sufficient optimality conditions in the form of the stochastic maximum principle. We apply the theory to solve a linear quadratic stochastic control problem.

Abstract:The parametrized approach is extended in this study to find solutions to differential equations with fractal, fractional, fractal-fractional, and piecewise derivatives with the inclusion of a stochastic component. The existence and uniqueness of the solution to the stochastic Atangana-Baleanu fractional differential equation are established using Caratheodory's existence theorem. For the solution of differential equations using piecewise differential operators, which take into account combining deterministic and stochastic processes utilizing certain significant mathematical tools such as fractal and fractal-fractional derivatives, the applicability of the parametrized technique is being examined. We discuss the crossover behaviors of the model obtained by including these operators and we present some illustrative examples for some problems with piecewise differential operators.
