Abstract:Characterizations of surjective isometries with respect to the Kuiper distance on three classes of Borel probability measures of $\mathbb{R}$ (or equivalently, probability distribution functions) are presented here. These classes are the set of continuous, absolute continuous and general measures.

Abstract:In this article we introduce generalized projective spaces (Definitions $[2.1, 2.5]$) and prove three main theorems in two different contexts. In the first context we prove, in main Theorem $A$, the surjectivity of the Chinese remainder reduction map associated to the generalized projective space of an ideal with a given factorization into mutually co-maximal ideals each of which is contained in finitely many maximal ideals, using the key concept of choice multiplier hypothesis (Definition $4.11$) which is satisfied. In the second context of surjectivity of the map from $k$-dimensional special linear group to the product of generalized projective spaces of $k$-mutually co-maximal ideals associating the $k$-rows or $k$-columns, we prove remaining two main Theorems $[\Omega,\Sigma]$ under certain conditions either on the ring or on the generalized projective spaces. Finally in the last section we pose open Questions $[9.1, 9.2]$ whose answers in a greater generality is not known.

Abstract:We establish a correspondence on a Riemann surface between hyperbolic metrics with isolated singularities and bounded projective functions whose Schwarzian derivatives have at most double poles and whose monodromies lie in ${\rm PSU}(1,\,1)$. As an application, we construct explicitly a new class of hyperbolic metrics with countably many singularities on the unit disc.

Abstract:Wigner's theorem characterizes isometries of the set of all rank one projections on a Hilbert space. In metric geometry nonexpansive maps and noncontractive maps are well studied generalizations of isometries. We show that under certain conditions Wigner symmetries can be characterized as nonexpansive or noncontractive maps on the set of all projections of rank one. The assumptions required for such characterizations are injectivity or surjectivity and they differ in the finite and the infinite-dimensional case. Motivated by a recently obtained optimal version of Uhlhorn's generalization of Wigner's theorem, we also give a description of nonexpansive maps which satisfy a condition that is much weaker than surjectivity. Such maps do not need to be Wigner symmetries. The optimality of all presented results is shown by counterexamples.

Abstract:We give a different presentation of a recent bijection due to Chapuy and Dolęga for nonorientable bipartite quadrangulations and we extend it to the case of nonorientable general maps. This can be seen as a Bouttier--Di Francesco--Guitter-like generalization of the Cori--Vauquelin--Schaeffer bijection in the context of general nonorientable surfaces. In the particular case of triangulations, the encoding objects take a particularly simple form and this allows us to recover a famous asymptotic enumeration formula found by Gao.

Abstract:We give a new proof of a theorem of Giordano, Putnam and Skau characterizing orbit equivalence of minimal homeomorphisms of the Cantor space in terms of their sets of invariant Borel probability measures. The proof is based on a strengtehning of a theorem of Krieger concerning minimal actions of certain locally finite groups of homeomorphisms, and we also give a new proof of the Giordano--Putnam--Skau characterization of orbit equivalence for these actions.

Non-Measure Hyperbolicity of Complex K3 Surfaces

Abstract:We show that the non-measure hyperbolicity of K3 surfaces -- which M. Green and P. Griffiths verified for certain cases in 1980 -- holds for all K3 surfaces. As a byproduct, we prove the non-measure hyperbolicity of any Hilbert schemes of points on K3 surfaces. We also obtain a new proof of the non-measure hyperbolicity of any Enriques surface.

This bijection is also called the probability isomorphism between two probability spaces. Then we give a new proof of the existence of the independent random variables on Borel probability space $([0,1],\B([0,1]),\Lb)$ that their distribution functions are the given distribution functions.

Abstract:In this paper, we first show that Kollár's injectivity theorem on cohomologies holds for projective generalised pairs with mild singularities when the nef part of the generalised pair is b-abundant. Moreover, by applying the methods from complex analytic geometry, we show that the injectivity theorem holds for generalised Kawamata log terminal (g-klt) generalised pairs on projective surfaces without any extra conditions on the nef parts of the generalised pairs.

Abstract:Let $X$ and $Y$ be metrizable spaces and suppose that there exists a uniformly continuous surjection $T: C_{p}(X) \to C_{p}(Y)$ (resp., $T: C_{p}^*(X) \to C_{p}^*(Y)$), where $C_{p}(X)$ (resp., $C_{p}^*(X)$) denotes the space of all real-valued continuous (resp., continuous and bounded) functions on $X$ endowed with the pointwise convergence topology. We show that if additionally $T$ is an inversely bounded mapping and $X$ has some dimensional-like property $\mathcal P$, then so does $Y$. For example, this is true if $\mathcal P$ is one of the following properties: zero-dimensionality, countable-dimensionality or strong countable-dimensionality. Also, we consider other properties $\mathcal P$: of being a scattered, or a strongly $\sigma$-scattered space, or being a $\Delta_1$-space (see [17]). Our results strengthen and extend several results from [6], [13], [17].

Abstract:We define, for a compact subset K of complex Euclidean space containing the origin, the so-called Borel map (at the origin). We discuss its properties in detail and state, in the case when K is subanalytic, two conjectures relating the injectivity and surjectivity of the Borel map with properties of the polynomial hull of K . We give strong evidence for the validity of the conjectures (e.g. the open mapping property) and show that they are true when K is convex.

ku-theoretic spectral decompositions for spheres and projective spaces

Abstract:Ben-Zvi--Sakellaridis--Venkatesh described a conjectural extension of the geometric Satake equivalence to spherical varieties, whose spectral decomposition is described by Hamiltonian varieties. The goal of this article is to study their conjecture, especially in the case of spherical varieties of relative rank 1, using tools from homotopy theory. Our discussion relates their conjecture to classical topics in homotopy theory such as the EHP sequence and Hopf fibrations, as well as more modern topics such as Hochschild (co)homology. We will also study an analogue of the derived geometric Satake equivalence and of the Ben-Zvi--Sakellaridis--Venkatesh conjecture with coefficients in connective complex K-theory. In this generalized setting, the dual group (a la Langlands, Gaitsgory--Nadler, Sakellaridis--Venkatesh, Knop--Schalke) remains unchanged, but the specific dual "representation" of the dual group changes. On the spectral/Langlands dual side, we expect that the appropriate replacement of Hamiltonian varieties are given by what we term "ku-Hamiltonian varieties"; this is a notion interpolating between Hamiltonian and quasi-Hamiltonian varieties (a la Alekseev--Malkin--Meinrenken). Finally, we suggest possible generalizations to more exotic cohomology theories such as complex cobordism.

Abstract:We show that a holomorphic automorphism on a projective hyperkähler manifold that has positive topological entropy and has volume measure as the measure of maximal entropy is necessarily a Kummer example. This partially extends the analogous results in [10,21] for complex surfaces.A trick with Jensen's inequality is used to show that stable and unstable distributions exhibit uniform rate of contraction and expansion, and with them our hyperkähler manifold is shown to be flat, modulo contracting some loci. A result in [23] then implies that our hyperkähler manifold is birational to a torus quotient, giving the Kummer example structure.

Abstract:We interpret the Hilbert entropy of a convex projective structure on a closed higher-genus surface as the Hausdorff dimension of the non-differentiability points of the limit set in the full flag space $\mathcal F(\mathbb R^3)$. Generalizations for regularity properties of boundary maps between locally conformal representations are also discussed. An ingredient for the proofs is the concept of hyperplane conicality that we introduce for a $\theta$-Anosov representation into a reductive real-algebraic Lie group $G$. In contrast with directional conicality, hyperplane-conical points always have full mass for the corresponding Patterson-Sullivan measure.

Abstract:A non-negative function is called a hemimetric if and for any . Then is a hemimetric as well. We call it the dual hemimetric. We show the existence of the universal hemimetric space which allows to prove the hemimetrizability of a premetric space with the weak triangle inequality. Then we generalize the Baire horizontal theorem and obtain some version of the Baire curves theorem for a separately continuous function ranged in a regular hemimetrizable space. In particular, we show that if X is a topological space, Y is a first countable space at , Z is a regular hemimetrizable space and is a separately continuous function, then there is a residual set A in X such that f is continuous at every point of . We also generalize the Kenderov theorem on the Čech complete spaces and prove that that the open ball topology for the dual hemimetric is categorically related to the open ball topology for a hemimetric d with respect to any -unfavorable for the Christensen -game space. More precisely, if X is a -unfavorable space for the Christensen -game and continuous with respect to a hemimetric d on Y , then there is a dense -set A in X such that f is continuous on A with respect to the dual hemimetric at every point of A . Therefore, f is continuous on A with respect to the pseudometric . Moreover, we show that this result cannot be extended to an -favorable space for the Saint-Raymond game.

Abstract:Among other things, we prove the following two topological statements about closed hyperbolic 3-manifolds. First, every rational second homology class of a closed hyperbolic 3-manifold has a positive integral multiple represented by an oriented connected closed pi(1)-injectively immersed quasi-Fuchsian subsurface. Second, every rationally null-homologous, pi(1)-injectively immersed oriented closed 1-submanifold in a closed hyperbolic 3-manifold has an equidegree finite cover which bounds an oriented connected compact pi(1)-injectively immersed quasi-Fuchsian subsurface. In, we exploit techniques developed by Kahn and Markovic but we only distill geometric and topological ingredients from those papers, so no hard analysis is involved in this article.

Abstract:We provide a detailed study of two properties of spaces and pairs of spaces, the surjection property and the epsilon-surjection property, that were recently introduced to characterize the notion of computable type arising from computability theory. For a class of spaces including the finite simplicial complexes, we develop techniques to prove or disprove these properties using homotopy and homology theories, and give applications of these results. In particular, we answer an open question on the computable type property, showing that it is not preserved by taking products. We also observe that computable type is decidable for finite simplicial complexes.

Abstract:For any pair of orientable closed hyperbolic $3$--manifolds, this paper shows that any isomorphism between the profinite completions of their fundamental groups witnesses a bijective correspondence between the Zariski dense $\mathrm{PSL}(2,\mathbb{Q}^{\mathtt{ac}})$--representations of their fundamental groups, up to conjugacy; moreover, corresponding pairs of representations have identical invariant trace fields and isomorphic invariant quaternion algebras. (Here, $\mathbb{Q}^{\mathtt{ac}}$ denotes an algebraic closure of $\mathbb{Q}$.) Next, assuming the $p$--adic Borel regulator injectivity conjecture for number fields, this paper shows that uniform lattices in $\mathrm{PSL}(2,\mathbb{C})$ with isomorphic profinite completions have identical invariant trace fields, isomorphic invariant quaternion algebras, identical covolume, and identical arithmeticity.

Abstract:We describe surjective linear isometries and linear isometry groups of a large class of Lipschitz-free spaces that includes e.g. Lipschitz-free spaces over any graph. We define the notion of a Lipschitz-free rigid metric space whose Lipschitz-free space only admits surjective linear isometries coming from surjective dilations (i.e. rescaled isometries) of the metric space itself. We show this class of metric spaces is surprisingly rich and contains all $3$-connected graphs as well as geometric examples such as non-abelian Carnot groups with horizontally strictly convex norms. We prove that every metric space isometrically embeds into a Lipschitz-free rigid space that has only three more points.
