Abstract:This paper introduces the basic working methods and principles of the dynamic star simulator, and studies the method of correcting the position error of the star point. Through the analysis of the generation mechanism of star point position error, only the measured star point data is corrected, and a new method of star point position error correction is proposed. According to the principle of star point position correction, the offset is calculated, the correction area is divided into four quadrants, and the star points within the target limit are subdivided and the appropriate correction interval is selected, and the correction amount in the correction interval is changed. Observation and analysis, using MATLAB to curve-fit the correction amount and the star point coordinates in the correction interval to obtain the correction amount function. The experimental results show that the corrected maximum single star position error is less than 18", which satisfies the star map simulation accuracy of the dynamic star simulator.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
This paper aims to address the issue of star point position errors in dynamic star simulators. Specifically, the paper proposes a new star point position error correction method by analyzing the mechanism of star point position error generation. This method corrects the measured star point data by dividing the correction area into 4 quadrants, subdividing the star points within the target range, selecting an appropriate correction interval, and changing the correction amount within the correction interval. Finally, the relationship between the correction amount and the star point coordinates is obtained through MATLAB fitting to derive the correction amount function. Experimental results show that the maximum position error of a single star point after correction is less than 18 arcseconds, meeting the star map simulation accuracy requirements of the dynamic star simulator.
