Abstract:We show that any CPA-structure (commutative post-Lie algebra structure) on a perfect Lie algebra is trivial. Furthermore we give a general decomposition of inner CPA-structures, and classify all CPA-structures on parabolic subalgebras of simple Lie algebras.

Abstract:Commutative post-Lie algebra structures on Lie algebras, in short CPA structures, have been studied over fields of characteristic zero, in particular for real and complex numbers motivated by geometry. A perfect Lie algebra in characteristic zero only admits the trivial CPA-structure. In this article we study these structures over fields of characteristic p>0. We show that every perfect modular Lie algebra in characteristic p>2 having a solvable outer derivation algebra admits only the trivial CPA-structure. This involves a conjecture by Hans Zassenhaus, saying that the outer derivation algebra Out(g) of a simple modular Lie algebra g is solvable. We try to summarize the known results on the Zassenhaus conjecture and prove some new results using the classification of simple modular Lie algebras by Premet and Strade for algebraically closed fields of characteristic p>3. As a corollary we obtain that that every central simple modular Lie algebra of characteristic p>3 admits only the trivial CPA-structure.

Abstract:We show that for a given nilpotent Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ with $Z(\mathfrak{g})\subseteq [\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{g}]$ all commutative post-Lie algebra structures, or CPA-structures, on $\mathfrak{g}$ are complete. This means that all left and all right multiplication operators in the algebra are nilpotent. Then we study CPA-structures on free-nilpotent Lie algebras $F_{g,c}$ and discover a strong relationship to solving systems of linear equations of type $[x,u]+[y,v]=0$ for generator pairs $x,y\in F_{g,c}$. We use results of Remeslennikov and Stöhr concerning these equations to prove that, for certain $g$ and $c$, the free-nilpotent Lie algebra $F_{g,c}$ has only central CPA-structures.

Abstract:We study the existence of post-Lie algebra structures on pairs of Lie algebras (g,n) , where one of the algebras is perfect non-semisimple, and the other one is abelian, nilpotent non-abelian, solvable non-nilpotent, simple, semisimple non-simple, reductive non-semisimple or complete non-perfect. We prove several nonexistence results, but also provide examples in some cases for the existence of a post-Lie algebra structure. Among other results we show that there is no post-Lie algebra structure on (g,n) , where g is perfect non-semisimple, and n is sl3(C) . We also show that there is no post-Lie algebra structure on (g,n) , where g is perfect and n is reductive with a 1-dimensional center.

Abstract:The PostLie algebra is an enriched structure of the Lie algebra that has recently arisen from operadic study. It is closely related to pre-Lie algebra, Rota-Baxter algebra, dendriform trialgebra, modified classical Yang-Baxter equations and integrable systems. We give a complete classification of PostLie algebra structures on the Lie algebra sl(2,C) up to isomorphism. We first reduce the classification problem to solving an equation of 3 x 3 matrices. To solve the latter problem, we make use of the classification of complex symmetric matrices up to the congruent action of orthogonal groups.

Abstract:Suppose H is a cocommutative Hopf algebra and P is the operad Ass, or Lie. For any left H-module V, we construct a graded Lie algebra (LP(V)=⨁n∈ZLPn(V),[,]), and prove that φ∈LP1 satisfies [φ,φ]=0 if and only if it determines a pseudoalgebra structure on V over the operad P, and LP(V) is a differential graded Lie algebra with a differentiation determined by the structure map φ of the H-pseudoalgebra V. Moreover, we construct a Lie algebra by using symmetric Schouten product for any pseudoalgebra V over the operad Lie.

Abstract:We show that a $PL_{\infty}$-algebra $V$ can be described by a nilpotent coderivation of degree $-1$ on coalgebra $P^*V$. Based on this result, we can generalise the result of T. Lada and show that every $A_{\infty}$-algebra carries a $PL_{\infty}$-algebra structure and every $PL_{\infty}$-algebra carries an $L_{\infty}$-algebra structure. In particular, we obtain a pre Lie $n$-algebra structure on an arbitrary partially associative $n$-algebra and deduce pre Lie $n$-algebras are $n$-Lie admissible.
The structure of locally conformally product Lie algebras

Abstract:A locally conformally product (LCP) structure on a compact conformal manifold is a closed non-exact Weyl connection (i.e.~a linear connection which is locally but not globally the Levi-Civita connection of Riemannian metrics in the conformal class), with reducible holonomy. A left-invariant LCP structure on a compact quotient $\Gamma\backslash G$ of a simply connected Riemannian Lie group $(G,g)$ with Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ can be characterized in terms of a closed 1-form $\theta\in\mathfrak{g}^*$ and a non-zero subspace $\mathfrak{u}\subset \mathfrak{g}$ satisfying some algebraic conditions. We show that these conditions are equivalent to the fact that $\mathfrak{g}$ is isomorphic to a semidirect product of a non-unimodular Lie algebra acting on an abelian one by a conformal representation. This extends to the general case previous results holding for solvmanifolds. In addition, we construct explicit examples of compact LCP manifolds which are not solvmanifolds.

Abstract:In this work, we construct the deformed Butcher-Connes-Kreimer Hopf algebra coming from the theory of Regularity Structures as the universal envelope of a post-Lie algebra. We show that this can be done using either of the two combinatorial structures that have been proposed in the context of singular SPDEs: decorated trees and multi-indices. Our construction is inspired from multi-indices where the Hopf algebra was obtained as the universal envelope of a Lie algebra and it has been proved that one can find a basis that is symmetric with respect to certain elements. We show that this Lie algebra comes from an underlying post-Lie structure.

Abstract:Given a commutative algebra $A$, we exhibit a canonical structure of post-Lie algebra on the space $A\otimes Der(A)$ where $Der(A)$ is the space of derivations on $A$, in order to use the machinery given in [Guin & Oudom 2008] and [Ebrahimi-Fard & Lundervold & Munthe-Kaas 2015] and to define a Hopf algebra structure on the associated enveloping algebra with a natural action on $A$. We apply these results to the setting of [Linares & Otto & Tempelmayr 2023], giving a simpler and more efficient construction of their action and extending the recent work [Bruned & Katsetsiadis]. This approach gives an optimal setting to perform explicit computations in the associated structure group.

Abstract:We study the analogue of Sidki's weak commutativity construction, defined originally for groups, in the category of Lie algebras. This is the quotient $\chi(\mathfrak{g})$ of the Lie algebra freely generated by two isomorphic copies $\mathfrak{g}$ and $\mathfrak{g}^{\psi}$ of a fixed Lie algebra by the ideal generated by the brackets $[x,x^{\psi}]$, for all $x$. We exhibit an abelian ideal of $\chi(\mathfrak{g})$ whose associated quotient is a subdirect sum in $\mathfrak{g} \oplus \mathfrak{g} \oplus \mathfrak{g}$ and we give conditions for this ideal to be finite dimensional. We show that $\chi(\mathfrak{g})$ has a subquotient that is isomorphic to the Schur multiplier of $\mathfrak{g}$. We prove that $\chi(\mathfrak{g})$ is finitely presentable or of homological type $FP_2$ if and only if $\mathfrak{g}$ has the same property, but $\chi(\mathfrak{f})$ is not of type $FP_3$ if $\mathfrak{f}$ is a non-abelian free Lie algebra.

Abstract:A Com-PreLie bialgebra is a commutative bialgebra with an extra preLie product satisfying some compatibilities with the product and the coproduct. We here give examples of cofree Com-PreLie bialgebras, including all the ones such that the preLie product is homogeneous of degree $\ge$ --1. We also give a graphical description of free unitary Com-PreLie algebras, explicit their canonical bialgebra structure and exhibit with the help of a rigidity theorem certain cofree quotients, including the Connes-Kreimer Hopf algebra of rooted trees. We finally prove that the dual of these bialgebras are also enveloping algebras of preLie algebras, combinatorially described.

Abstract:Here we announce the construction and properties of a big commutative subalgebra of the Kirillov algebra attached to a finite dimensional irreducible representation of a complex semisimple Lie group. They are commutative finite flat algebras over the cohomology of the classifying space of the group. They are isomorphic with the equivariant intersection cohomology of affine Schubert varieties, endowing the latter with a new ring structure. Study of the finer aspects of the structure of the big algebras will also furnish the stalks of the intersection cohomology with ring structure, thus ringifying Lusztig's q-weight multiplicity polynomials i.e., certain affine Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials.

Abstract:In this paper we study the category Cm(P) of m-cyclic complexes over P, where P is the category of projective modules over a finite dimensional hereditary algebra A, and describe almost split sequences in Cm(P). This is applied to prove the existence of Hall polynomials in Cm(P) when A is representation finite and m≠1. We further introduce the Hall algebra of Cm(P) and its localization in the sense of Bridgeland. In the case when A is representation finite, we use Hall polynomials to define the generic Bridgeland–Hall algebra of A and show that it contains a subalgebra isomorphic to the integral form of the corresponding quantum enveloping algebra. This provides a construction of the simple Lie algebra associated with A.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to develop a deformation theory controlled by pre-Lie algebras with divided powers over a ring of positive characteristic. We show that every differential graded pre-Lie algebra with divided powers comes with operations, called weighted braces, which we use to generalize the classical deformation theory controlled by Lie algebras over a field of characteristic $0$. Explicitly, we define the Maurer-Cartan set, as well as the gauge group, and prove that there is an action of the gauge group on the Maurer-Cartan set. This new deformation theory moreover admits a Goldman-Millson theorem which remains valid on the integers. As an application, we give the computation of the $\pi_0$ of a mapping space $\text{Map}(B^c(\mathcal{C}),\mathcal{P})$ with $\mathcal{C}$ and $\mathcal{P}$ suitable cooperad and operad respectively.

Abstract:Inspired by the commutator and anticommutator algebras derived from algebras graded by groups, we introduce noncommutatively graded algebras. We generalize various classical graded results to the noncommutatively graded situation concerning identity elements, inverses, existence of limits and colimits and adjointness of certain functors. In the particular instance of noncommutatively graded Lie algebras, we establish the existence of universal graded enveloping algebras and we show a graded version of the Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt theorem.

Abstract:For a simple complex Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$, fixing a principal $\mathfrak{sl}_2$-triple and highest weight vectors induces a basis of $\mathfrak{g}$ as vector space. For $\mathfrak{sl}_n$, we describe how to compute the Lie bracket in this basis using transvectants. This generalizes a well-known rule for $\mathfrak{sl}_2$ using Poisson brackets and degree 2 monomials in two variables. Our proof method uses a graphical calculus for classical invariant theory. Other Lie algebra types are discussed.

Abstract:A theorem of Lurie and Pridham establishes a correspondence between formal moduli problems and differential graded Lie algebras in characteristic zero, thereby formalising a well-known principle in deformation theory. We introduce a variant of differential graded Lie algebras, called partition Lie algebras, in arbitrary characteristic. We then explicitly compute the homotopy groups of free algebras, which parametrise operations. Finally, we prove generalisations of the Lurie-Pridham correspondence classifying formal moduli problems via partition Lie algebras over an arbitrary field, as well as over a complete local base.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to introduce and study Lie algebras and Lie groups over noncommutative rings. For any Lie algebra $\gg$ sitting inside an associative algebra $A$ and any associative algebra $\FF$ we introduce and study the algebra $(\gg,A)(\FF)$, which is the Lie subalgebra of $\FF \otimes A$ generated by $\FF \otimes \gg$. In many examples $A$ is the universal enveloping algebra of $\gg$. Our description of the algebra $(\gg,A)(\FF)$ has a striking resemblance to the commutator expansions of $\FF$ used by M. Kapranov in his approach to noncommutative geometry. To each algebra $(\gg, A)(\FF)$ we associate a ``noncommutative algebraic'' group which naturally acts on $(\gg,A)(\FF)$ by conjugations and conclude the paper with some examples of such groups.
