Abstract:Stability conditions play an important role in the study of representations of a quiver. In the present paper, we study semistable representations of quivers. In particular, we describe the slopes of semistable representations of a tame quiver for a fixed stability condition.

Abstract:We study the semistability of quiver representations from an algorithmic perspective. We present efficient algorithms for several fundamental computational problems on the semistability of quiver representations: deciding semistability and $\sigma$-semistability, finding maximizers of King's criterion, and finding the Harder-Narasimhan filtration. We also investigate a class of polyhedral cones defined by the linear system in King's criterion, which we call King cones. We demonstrate that the King cones for rank-one representations can be encoded by submodular flow polytopes, allowing us to decide the $\sigma$-semistability of rank-one representations in strongly polynomial time. Our argument employs submodularity in quiver representations, which may be of independent interest.

Tensor product of representations of quivers

Abstract:In this article, we define the tensor product $V\otimes W$ of a representation $V$ of a quiver $Q$ with a representation $W$ of an another quiver $Q'$, and show that the representation $V\otimes W$ is semistable if $V$ and $W$ are semistable. Over the field of complex numbers, we also describe a relation between the natural line bundles, and between the universal representations on the fine moduli spaces $N_1, N_2$ and $N_3$ of representations of $Q, Q'$ and $Q\otimes Q'$ respectively. We then prove that the internal product $\tilde{Q}\otimes \tilde{Q'}$ of covering quivers is a sub-quiver of the covering quiver $\widetilde{Q\otimes Q'}$. We deduce the relation between stability of the representations $\widetilde{V\otimes W}$ and $\tilde{V} \otimes \tilde{W}$. We also lift the relation between natural line bundles on the product of moduli spaces $\tilde{N_1} \times \tilde{N_2}$.

On Topological Representation Theory from Quivers

Abstract:In this work, we introduce topological representations of a quiver as a system consisting of topological spaces and its relationships determined by the quiver. Such a setting gives a natural connection between topological representations of a quiver and diagrams of topological spaces. Firstly, we investigate the relation between the category of topological representations and that of linear representations of a quiver via P( ) - 𝒯𝒪𝒫^o and k -Mod, concerning (positively) graded or vertex (positively) graded modules. Secondly, we discuss the homological theory of topological representations of quivers via the -limit functor lim ^ , and use it to define the homology groups of topological representations of quivers via H _n . It is found that some properties of a quiver can be read from homology groups. Thirdly, we investigate the homotopy theory of topological representations of quivers. We define the homotopy equivalence between two morphisms in Top- Rep and show that the parallel Homotopy Axiom also holds for top-representations based on the homotopy equivalence. Last, we obtain the functor At^ from Top- Rep to Top and show that At^ preserves homotopy equivalence between morphisms. The relationship between the homotopy groups of a top-representation (T, f) and the homotopy groups of At^(T,f) is also established.

Abstract:This paper concerns stability functions for Dynkin quivers, in the generality introduced by Rudakov. We show that relatively few inequalities need to be satisfied for a stability function to be totally stable (i.e. to make every indecomposable stable). Namely, a stability function $\mu$ is totally stable if and only if $\mu(\tau V) < \mu(V)$ for every almost split sequence $0 \to \tau V \to E \to V \to 0$ where $E$ is indecomposable. These can be visualized as those sequences around the "border" of the Auslander-Reiten quiver.

Abstract:We use tilting theory and birational geometry to study moduli spaces of quiver representations. From certain ``representable" functor, we construct a birational transformation from the moduli space of representations of one quiver to another new quiver with one vertex less. The dimension vector and the stability for the new moduli are determined functorially. We introduce several relative notions of stability to study such a birational transformation. Some of its structure is understood but a more round picture may lead to an algorithm similar to the minimal model program. Moreover, we compare the induced ample divisors for the two moduli. We illustrate this theory by some surface examples.
Stability Conditions on Free Abelian Quotients

Abstract:We study slope-stable vector bundles and Bridgeland stability conditions on varieties which are a quotient of a smooth projective variety by a finite abelian group $G$ acting freely. We show there is a one-to-one correspondence between $\widehat{G}$-invariant geometric stability conditions on the quotient and $G$-invariant geometric stability conditions on the cover. We apply our results to describe a connected component inside the stability manifolds of free abelian quotients when the cover has finite Albanese morphism. This applies to varieties with non-finite Albanese morphism which are free abelian quotients of varieties with finite Albanese morphism, such as Beauville-type and bielliptic surfaces. This gives a partial answer to a question raised by Lie Fu, Chunyi Li, and Xiaolei Zhao: If a variety $X$ has non-finite Albanese morphism, does there always exist a non-geometric stability condition on $X$? We also give counterexamples to a conjecture of Fu-Li-Zhao concerning the Le Potier function, which characterises Chern classes of slope-semistable sheaves. As a result of independent interest, we give a description of the set of geometric stability conditions on an arbitrary surface in terms of a refinement of the Le Potier function. This generalises a result of Fu-Li-Zhao from Picard rank one to arbitrary Picard rank.

Abstract:Algebra Colloquium, Volume 31, Issue 03, Page 505-524, September 2024. We consider stable representations of non-Dynkin quivers with respect to a central charge. These attract a lot of interest in mathematics and physics since they can be identified with so-called BPS states. Another motivation is the work of Dimitrov et al. on the phases of stable representations of the generalized Kronecker quiver. One aim is to explain for general Euclidean and wild quivers the behavior of phases of stable representations well known in some examples. In addition, we study especially the behavior of preinjective, postprojective and regular indecomposable modules. We show that the existence of a stable representation with self-extensions implies the existence of infinitely many stables without self-extensions for rigid central charges. In this case the phases of the stable representations approach one or two limit points. In particular, the phases are not dense in two arcs. The category of representations of acyclic quivers is a special case of rigid Abelian categories which show this behavior for rigid central charges.

Abstract:We propose a definition of expander representations of quivers, generalizing dimension (or linear algebra) expanders, as a qualitative refinement of slope stability. We prove existence of uniform expander representations for any wild quiver over an algebraically closed base field, using the concept of general subrepresentations and spectral properties of Cartan matrices.

Abstract:We investigate representations of *-algebras associated with posets. Unitarizable representations of the corresponding (bound) quivers (which are polystable representations for some appropriately chosen slope function) give rise to representations of these algebras. Considering posets which correspond to unbound quivers this leads to an ADE-classification which describes the unitarization behaviour of their representations. Considering posets which correspond to bound quivers, it is possible to construct unitarizable representations starting with polystable representations of related unbound quivers which can be glued together with a suitable direct sum of simple representations. Finally, we estimate the number of complex parameters parametrizing irreducible unitary non-equivalent representations of the corresponding algebras.

A smooth compactification of spaces of stability conditions: the case of the $A_{n}$-quiver

Abstract:We propose a notion of multi-scale stability conditions with the goal of providing a smooth compactification of the quotient of the space of projectivized Bridgeland stability conditions by the group of autoequivalence. For the case of the 3CY category associated with the $A_n$-quiver this goal is achieved by defining a topology and complex structure that relies on a plumbing construction. We compare this compactification to the multi-scale compactification of quadratic differentials and briefly indicate why even for the Kronecker quiver this notion needs refinement to provide a full compactification.

Abstract:In the 1980s Dr\'ezet and Le Potier realized moduli spaces of Gieseker-semistable sheaves on $\mathbb{P}^2$ as what are now called quiver moduli spaces. We discuss how this construction can be understood using t-structures and exceptional collections on derived categories, and how it can be extended to a similar result on $\mathbb{P}^1\times\mathbb{P}^1$.

Abstract:We give an explicit approach to quotienting affine varieties by linear actions of linear algebraic groups with graded unipotent radical, using results from projective Non-Reductive GIT. Our quotients come with explicit projective completions, whose boundaries we interpret in terms of the original action. As an application we construct moduli spaces of semistable representations of quivers with multiplicities subject to certain conditions, which always hold in the toric case for a generic stability condition.

Abstract:We introduce $mathbb{X}$-stability conditions $(sigma,s)$ on Calabi-Yau-$mathbb{X}$ categories $mathcal{D}_mathbb{X}$, where $sigma$ is a stability condition on $mathcal{D}_mathbb{X}$ and $s$ a complex number. Sufficient and necessary conditions are given, for a stability condition on an $mathbb{X}$-heart $mathcal{D}_infty$ of $mathcal{D}_mathbb{X}$ to induce $mathbb{X}$-stability conditions on $mathcal{D}_mathbb{X}$. As a consequence, we show that the space $operatorname{QStab}mathcal{D}_mathbb{X}$ of $q$-stability conditions (induced $mathbb{X}$-stability conditions) is a complex manifold, whose fibers (fixing $s$) give usual type of spaces of stability conditions. Our motivating examples for $mathcal{D}_mathbb{X}$ are coming from Calabi-Yau-$mathbb{X}$ completions of dg algebras. geometric application is that, for type $A$ quiver $Q$, the corresponding space $operatorname{mathbb{X}Stab}^circ_smathcal{D}_mathbb{X}(Q)$ of $q$-stability conditions admits almost Frobenius structure while the central charge $Z_s$ corresponds to the twisted period $P_nu$, for $nu=(s-2)/2$, where $sinmathbb{C}$ with $operatorname{Re}(s)ge2$. A categorical application is that we realize perfect derived categories as cluster(-$mathbb{X}$) categories for acyclic quiver $Q$. In the sequel, we construct quivers with superpotential from flat surfaces with the corresponding Calabi-Yau-$mathbb{X}$ categories and realize $q$-stability conditions as $q$-quadratic differentials.
Stability scattering diagrams and quiver coverings

Abstract:Given a covering of a quiver (with potential), we show that the associated Bridgeland stability scattering diagrams are related by a restriction operation under the assumption of admitting a nice grading. We apply this to quivers with potential associated to marked surfaces. In combination with recent results of the second and third authors, our findings imply that the bracelets basis for a once-punctured closed surface coincides with the theta basis for the associated stability scattering diagram, and these stability scattering diagrams agree with the corresponding cluster scattering diagrams of Gross-Hacking-Keel-Kontsevich except in the case of the once-punctured torus.

Abstract:A quiver representation assigns a vector space to each vertex, and a linear map to each arrow. When one considers the category $\textrm{Vect}(\mathbb{F}_1)$ of vector spaces ``over $\mathbb{F}_1$'' (the field with one element), one obtains $\mathbb{F}_1$-representations of a quiver. In this paper, we study representations of a quiver over the field with one element in connection to coefficient quivers. To be precise, we prove that the category $\textrm{Rep}(Q,\mathbb{F}_1)$ is equivalent to the (suitably defined) category of coefficient quivers over $Q$. This provides a conceptual way to see Euler characteristics of a class of quiver Grassmannians as the number of ``$\mathbb{F}_1$-rational points'' of quiver Grassmannians. We generalize techniques originally developed for string and band modules to compute the Euler characteristics of quiver Grassmannians associated to $\mathbb{F}_1$-representations. These techniques apply to a large class of $\mathbb{F}_1$-representations, which we call the $\mathbb{F}_1$-representations with finite nice length: we prove sufficient conditions for an $\mathbb{F}_1$-representation to have finite nice length, and classify such representations for certain families of quivers. Finally, we explore the Hall algebras associated to $\mathbb{F}_1$-representations of quivers. We answer the question of how a change in orientation affects the Hall algebra of nilpotent $\mathbb{F}_1$-representations of a quiver with bounded representation type. We also discuss Hall algebras associated to representations with finite nice length, and compute them for certain families of quivers.

Moduli of stable sheaves on quadric threefold

Abstract:For each $0<\alpha<\frac{1}{2}$, there exists a Bayer--Lahoz--Macr{\`{\i}}--Stellari's inducing Bridgeland stability condition $\sigma(\alpha)$ on a Kuznetsov component $\mathrm{Ku}(Q)$ of the smooth quadric threefold $Q$. We obtain the non-empty of the moduli space $M_{\sigma(\alpha)}([\mathcal{P}_{x}])$ of $\sigma(\alpha)$-semistable objects in $\mathrm{Ku}(Q)$ with the numerical class $[\mathcal{P}_{x}]$, where $\mathcal{P}_{x}\in \mathrm{Ku}(Q)$ is the projection sheaf of the skyscraper sheaf at a closed point $x\in Q$. We show that the moduli space $\overline{M}_{Q}(\mathbf{v})$ of Gieseker semistable sheaves with Chern character $\mathbf{v}=\mathrm{ch}(\mathcal{P}_{x})$ is smooth and irreducible of dimension four, and prove that the moduli space $M_{\sigma(\alpha)}([\mathcal{P}_{x}])$ is isomorphic to $\overline{M}_{Q}(\mathbf{v})$. As an application, we show that the quadric threefold $Q$ can be reinterpreted as a Brill--Noether locus in the Bridgeland moduli space $M_{\sigma(\alpha)}([\mathcal{P}_{x}])$. In the appendices, we show that the moduli space $M_{\sigma(\alpha)}([S])$ contains only one single point corresponding to the spinor bundle $S$ and give a Bridgeland moduli interpretation for the Hilbert scheme of lines in $Q$.
