Abstract:We describe the main functions of the Macaulay2 package Quasidegrees. The purpose of this package is to compute the quasidegree set of a finitely generated A-graded module presented as the cokernel of a monomial matrix. We provide examples with motivation coming from A-hypergeometric systems.

Abstract:We give an overview of a Macaulay2 package for computing with the multigraded BGG correspondence. This software builds on the package BGG due to Abo-Decker-Eisenbud-Schreyer-Smith-Stillman, which concerns the standard graded BGG correspondence. In addition to implementing the multigraded BGG functors, this package includes an implementation of differential modules and their minimal free resolutions, and it contains a method for computing strongly linear strands of multigraded free resolutions.

Abstract:We introduce the Macaulay2 package SCMAlgebras. It provides functions for computing the modules of deficiency and the filter ideals, in order to check whether a module or an ideal is sequentially Cohen-Macaulay. After the basic algebraic notions and results are recalled, the main features of the package are described through examples.

Abstract:In this paper, we construct the so-called q-Schur modules as left principal ideals of cyclotomic q-Schur algebras, and prove that they are isomorphic to those cell modules defined in [3] and [9] in any level r.After that, mainly, we prove that these q-Schur modules are free and construct their bases.This result gives new versions of some known results such as standard basis and the branching theorem.With the help of this realization and the new basis, we give a new proof of the Branch rule of Weyl modules which was first discovered by Wada in [13].

Abstract:In this paper, the module-algebra structures of U-q(sl(m + 1)) = H(e(i), f(i), k(i)(+/- 1))(1 <= i <= m)., on the coordinate algebra of quantum vector spaces are studied. We denote the coordinate algebra of quantum n-dimensional vector space by A(q)(n). As our main result, first, we give a complete classification of module-algebra structures of U-p(sl(m + 1)) on A(q)(3) when k(i) is an element of Aut L(A(q)(3)) as actions on A(q)(3) for i = 1,...,m and m >= 2 and with the same method, on A(q)(2), all module-algebra structures of U-q(sl(m + 1)) are characterized. Lastly, the module-algebra structures of U-q(sl(m + 1)) on A(q)(n) are obtained for any n >= 4.
Representation theory of graded algebras given by locally finite quivers

Abstract:This paper aims to study graded modules over a graded algebra $\La$ given by a locally finite quiver with homogeneous relations. By constructing a graded Nakayama functor, we discover a novel approach to establish Auslander-Reiten formulas, from which we derive almost split sequences in the category of all graded $\La$-modules. In case $\La$ is locally left (respectively, right) bounded, the category of finitely presented graded modules and that of finitely copresented graded modules both have almost split sequences on the left (respectively, right). We shall also obtain existence theorems for almost split triangles in various derived categories of graded $\La$-modules. In case $\La$ is locally bounded, an indecomposable complex in the bounded derived category of finite dimensional graded modules is the starting (respectively, ending) term of an almost split triangle if and only if it has a finite graded projective reso\-lution (respectively, injective coresolution); and consequently, this bounded derived category has almost split triangles on the right (respectively, left) if and only if every graded simple module is of finite graded projective (respectively, injective) dimension. Finally, we specialize to the existence of almost split sequences and almost split triangles for graded representations of any locally finite quiver.

Abstract:Given a graded ample, Hausdorff groupoid $G$, and an involutive field $K$, we consider the Steinberg algebra $A_K(G)$. We obtain necessary and sufficient conditions on $G$ under which the annihilator of any graded ideal of $A_K(G)$ is generated by a homogeneous projection. This property is called graded quasi-Baer $\ast$. We use the Steinberg algebra model to characterize graded quasi-Baer $\ast$ Leavitt path algebras.

Abstract:Quotient grading classes are essential participants in the computation of the intrinsic fundamental group $\pi_1(A)$ of an algebra $A$. In order to study quotient gradings of a finite-dimensional semisimple complex algebra $A$ it is sufficient to understand the quotient gradings of twisted gradings. We establish the graded structure of such quotients using Mackey's obstruction class. Then, for matrix algebras $A=M_n(\mathbb{C})$ we tie up the concepts of braces, group-theoretic Lagrangians and elementary crossed products. We also manage to compute the intrinsic fundamental group of the diagonal algebras $A=\mathbb{C} ^4$ and $A=\mathbb{C} ^5$.

Abstract:Let G be a group and A a G-graded quasi-hereditary algebra. Then its characteristic module is proved to be G-gradable, i.e., it is isomorphic to a G-graded module as A-modules. This implies that the Ringel dual A' of A admits a canonical G-grading which extends to the graded situation the typical equivalence between A-good and V-good modules of A and A', respectively. It follows some consequences: the derived category of finitely generated G-graded A-modules is equivalent to the derived category of finitely generated G-graded X-modules; if G is finite, then the Ringel dual of the smash product A#G* is isomorphic to the smash product A'#G* of A' with G.
Graded dimensions and monomial bases for the cyclotomic quiver Hecke algebras

Abstract:In this paper we give a closed formula for the graded dimension of the cyclotomic quiver Hecke algebra $R^\Lambda(\beta)$ associated to an {\it arbitrary} symmetrizable Cartan matrix $A=(a_{ij})_{i,j}\in I$, where $\Lambda\in P^+$ and $\beta\in Q_n^+$. As applications, we obtain some {\it necessary and sufficient conditions} for the KLR idempotent $e(\nu)$ (for any $\nu\in I^\beta$) to be nonzero in the cyclotomic quiver Hecke algebra $R^\Lambda(\beta)$. We prove several level reduction results which decomposes $\dim R^\Lambda(\beta)$ into a sum of some products of $\dim R^{\Lambda^i}(\beta_i)$ with $\Lambda=\sum_i\Lambda^i$ and $\beta=\sum_{i}\beta_i$, where $\Lambda^i\in P^+, \beta^i\in Q^+$ for each $i$. We construct some explicit monomial bases for the subspaces $e(\widetilde{\nu})R^\Lambda(\beta)e(\mu)$ and $e(\widetilde{\nu})R^\Lambda(\beta)e(\mu)$ of $R^\Lambda(\beta)$, where $\mu\in I^\beta$ is {\it arbitrary} and $\widetilde{\nu}\in I^\beta$ is a certain specific $n$-tuple (see Section 4).Finally, we use our graded dimension formulae to provide some examples which show that $R^\Lambda(n)$ is in general not graded free over its natural embedded subalgebra $R^\Lambda(m)$ with $m<n$.

Abstract:We observe that Beck modules for a commutative monoid are exactly modules over a graded commutative ring associated to the monoid. Under this identification, the Quillen cohomology of commutative monoids is a special case of the André–Quillen cohomology for graded commutative rings, generalizing a result of Kurdiani and Pirashvili. To verify this we develop the necessary grading formalism. The partial cochain complex developed by Pierre Grillet for computing Quillen cohomology appears as the start of a modification of the Harrison cochain complex suggested by Michael Barr.

Abstract:We study several properties of multihomogeneous prime ideals. We show that the multigraded generic initial ideal of a prime has very special properties, for instance, its radical is Cohen-Macaulay. We develop a comprehensive study of multidegrees in arbitrary positive multigraded settings. In these environments, we extend the notion of Cartwright-Sturmfels ideals by means of a standardization technique. Furthermore, we recover or extend important results in the literature, for instance: we provide a multidegree version of Hartshorne's result stating the upper semicontinuity of arithmetic degree under flat degenerations, and we give an alternative proof of Brion's result regarding multiplicity-free varieties.

Abstract:Let A be an aggregate with a finite spectroid S and B a bimodule over A. If B is upper triangular, it is shown by Brüstle and Hille that the category mat B of matrices over B is equivalent to the Δ-good module category over a quasi-hereditary algebra which is the opposite of the endomorphism algebra of a projective generator in mat B. In the present paper we provide an explicit construction of indecomposable projectives and injectives in mat B by defining left and right radicals of B. In particular, we obtain a description of the characteristic tilting module over the quasi-hereditary algebra associated with B. Moreover, the Ringel dual of this quasi-hereditary algebra is the opposite of the quasi-hereditary algebra associated with a bimodule over A op.

Abstract:We work out the exact relationship between algebraic modular forms for a two-by-two general unitary group over a definite quaternion algebra, and those arising from genera of positive-definite quinary lattices, relating stabilisers of local lattices with specific open compact subgroups, paramodular at split places, and with Atkin-Lehner operators. Combining this with the recent work of Rösner and Weissauer, proving conjectures of Ibukiyama on Jacquet-Langlands type correspondences (mildly generalised here), provides an effective tool for computing Hecke eigenvalues for Siegel modular forms of degree two and paramodular level. It also enables us to prove examples of congruences of Hecke eigenvalues connecting Siegel modular forms of degrees two and one. These include some of a type conjectured by Harder at level one, supported by computations of Fretwell at higher levels, and a subtly different congruence discovered experimentally by Buzzard and Golyshev.
