Abstract:Efficient operation sequences to couple and interchange quantum information between quantum dot spin qubits of different kinds are derived using exchange interactions. In the qubit encoding of a single-spin qubit, a singlet-triplet qubit, and an exchange-only (triple-dot) qubit, some of the single-qubit interactions remain on during the entangling operation; this greatly simplifies the operation sequences that construct entangling operations. In the ideal setup, the gate operations use the intra-qubit exchange interactions only once. The limitations of the entangling sequences are discussed, and it is shown how quantum information can be converted between different kinds of quantum dot spin qubits.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is: **How to design simple and effective operation sequences through exchange interactions to achieve the coupling and exchange of quantum information between different types of quantum - dot spin qubits?** Specifically, the paper focuses on the following points: 1. **Coupling between different types of qubits**: - Single - spin qubit - Singlet - triplet qubit (STQ) - Exchange - only qubit in three - quantum - dot 2. **Simplifying operation sequences**: - Utilize always - on single - qubit interactions to reduce operation steps and avoid leakage of computational sub - spaces. - The proposed operation sequence only needs to use intra - qubit exchange interactions once. 3. **Achieving entanglement and information exchange**: - Derive specific operation sequences for generating entangled states and show how to exchange quantum information between different types of qubits. - Discuss the limitations of these operation sequences and show how they can be used to transform quantum information. 4. **Application scenarios**: - Research shows that these operation sequences can flexibly use different types of encoded qubits in large - scale quantum - dot arrays, thus taking advantage of each qubit. For example, the single - spin qubit has an extremely long coherence time and is suitable for use as a quantum memory; while the singlet - triplet qubit and the exchange - only qubit are more suitable for read - out or long - range coupling. ### Main contributions The main contribution of the paper lies in providing explicit operation sequences that can generate entanglement between different types of quantum - dot spin qubits and showing how to exchange quantum information through these operation sequences. These operation sequences are not only simple and efficient but also require only limited exchange interactions, which provides an important theoretical basis and technical support for future quantum computing experiments. ### Formula examples To show the key formulas in the paper more clearly, the following are the Markdown - format representations of several important formulas: - **Single - qubit gate for single - spin qubit**: \[ Z_\varphi = e^{-i\frac{2\pi\varphi}{2}\sigma_z}, \quad X_\varphi = e^{-i\frac{2\pi\varphi}{2}\sigma_x} \] where \(\sigma_z = |↑⟩⟨↑| - |↓⟩⟨↓|\) and \(\sigma_x = |↑⟩⟨↓| + |↓⟩⟨↑|\) are Pauli operators. - **Operation for singlet - triplet qubit**: \[ Z_\varphi = e^{-i\frac{2\pi\varphi}{4}(\sigma_{z,1} - \sigma_{z,2})}, \quad X_\varphi = e^{-i\frac{2\pi\varphi}{4}(\sigma_1 \cdot \sigma_2 - 1)} \] - **Operation for exchange - only qubit in three - quantum - dot**: \[ Z_\varphi = e^{-i\frac{2\pi\varphi}{4}[(\sigma_1 \cdot \sigma_2 - 1) + (\sigma_2 \cdot \sigma_3 - 1)]}, \quad X_\varphi = e^{-i\frac{2\pi\varphi}{4\sqrt{3}}[(\sigma_1 \cdot \sigma_2 - 1) - (\sigma_2 \cdot \sigma_3 - 1)]} \] Through these formulas, the paper describes in detail how to pass
