Abstract:For any positive integer $n$, $n$-derived-simple derived discrete algebras are classified up to derived equivalence. Furthermore, the Jordan-Hölder theorems for all kinds of derived categories of derived discrete algebras are obtained.

Abstract:For a finitary hereditary abelian category $\mathcal{A}$, we define a derived Hall algebra of its root category by counting the triangles and using the octahedral axiom, which is proved to be isomorphic to the Drinfeld double of Hall algebra of $\mathcal{A}$. When applied to finite-dimensional nilpotent representations of the Jordan quiver or coherent sheaves over elliptic curves, these algebras provide categorical realizations of the ring of Laurent symmetric functions and also double affine Hecke algebras.

Abstract:Several kinds of quotient triangulated categories arising naturally in representations of algebras are studied; their relations with the stable categories of Frobenius exact categories are investigated; the derived categories of Gorenstein algebras are explicitly computed inside the stable categories of the graded module categories of the corresponding trivial extension algebras; new descriptions of the singularity categories of Gorenstein algebras are obtained.

Abstract:This paper establishes semiorthogonal decompositions for derived Grassmannians of perfect complexes with Tor-amplitude in $[0,1]$. This result verifies the author's Quot formula conjecture [J21a] and generalizes and strengthens Toda's result in [Tod23]. We give applications of this result to various classical situations such as blowups of determinantal ideals, reducible schemes, and varieties of linear series on curves. Our approach utilizes the framework of derived algebraic geometry, allowing us to work over arbitrary base spaces over $\mathbb{Q}$. It also provides concrete descriptions of Fourier-Mukai kernels in terms of derived Schur functors.

Derived equivalence of algebras induced by their trivial extensions

Abstract:The bounded derived category of a finite dimensional algebra of finite global dimension is equivalent the stable category of $\mathbb{Z}$-graded modules over its trivial extension \cite{Happel}. In particular, given two derived equivalent finite dimensional algebras $\Lambda_{1}$ and $\Lambda_{2}$ of finite global dimension, their trivial extensions are stable equivalent. The converse is not true in general. The goal of this paper is to study cases where derived equivalences between $\Lambda_{1}$ and $\Lambda_{2}$ arise from an equivalence of categories involving their trivial extension. Thanks to a graded version of Happel's theorem, we show that one can construct a $\mathbb{Z}$-grading on the $\Lambda_{i}$ so that such an equivalence involving their trivial extension yield a derived equivalence between the category of $\mathbb{Z}$-graded module over $\Lambda_{i}$. We describe explicitly the tilting object associated to this derived equivalence (in the non-graded and in the graded case) for triangular matrix algebras. Finally, we apply these results to the particular case of gentle algebras. In this context, we study how one can obtain a derived equivalence between $\Lambda_{1}$ and $\Lambda_{2}$ (in the non-graded and the graded case) from graded generalized Kauer moves.

Abstract:In this paper, we mainly study Jordan derivations of dual extension algebras and those of generalized one-point extension algebras. It is shown that every Jordan derivation of dual extension algebras is a derivation. As applications, we obtain that every Jordan generalized derivation and every generalized Jordan derivation on dual extension algebras are both generalized derivations. For generalized one-point extension algebras, it is proved that under certain conditions, each Jordan derivation of them is the sum of a derivation and an anti-derivation.

Abstract:In this paper, we give some construction about ternary Jordan algebras at first. Next we study relationships between generalized derivations, quasiderivations and centroids of ternary Jordan algebras. We show that for ternary Jordan algebras, generalized derivation algebras are the sum of quasiderivation algebras and centroids where centroids are ideals of generalized derivation algebras. We also prove that quasiderivations can be embedded into larger ternary Jordan algebras as derivations. In particular, we also determine dimensions of ternary Jordan algebras in the case of all linear transformations are quasiderivations. Some properties about centroids of ternary Jordan algebras are also displayed.

Abstract:We formulate a simple model for the bounded derived category of gentle algebras in terms of marked ribbon graphs and their walks, in order to analyze indecomposable objects, Auslander-Reiten triangles and homological bilinear forms, and to provide some relevant derived invariants in a graph theoretic setting. Among others, we exhibit the non-negativity and Dynkin type of the homological quadratic form of a gentle algebra, describe its roots as the classes of indecomposable perfect complexes in the Grothendieck group, and express its Coxeter polynomial in terms of the Avella-Alaminos Geiss invariant. We also derive some consequences for Brauer graph algebras.

Abstract:We clarify the relation between the subcategory D hf b (A) of homological finite objects in D b (A) and the subcategory K b (P) of perfect complexes in D b (A), by giving two classes of abelian categories A with enough projective objects such that D hf b (A) = K b (P), and finding an example such that D hf b (A) ≠ K b (P). We realize the bounded derived category D b (A) as a Verdier quotient of the relative derived category D C b (A), where C is an arbitrary resolving contravariantly finite subcategory of A: Using this relative derived categories, we get categorical resolutions of a class of bounded derived categories of module categories of infinite global dimension. We prove that if an Artin algebra A of infinite global dimension has a module T with inj.dimT < ∞ such that ⊥T is finite, then D b (modA) admits a categorical resolution; and that for a CM (Cohen-Macaulay)-finite Gorenstein algebra, such a categorical resolution is weakly crepant.

Abstract:We present a restricted model for the bounded derived category of gentle algebras that encodes the indecomposable objects and positive extensions between them. The model is then used to count the number of $d$-term silting objects for linearly oriented $A_n$, recovering the result that they are counted by the Pfaff-Fuss-Catalan numbers.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigated the problem of describing the form of higher Jordan triple derivations on trivial extension algebras. We show that every higher Jordan triple derivation on a $ 2 $-torsion free $ * $-type trivial extension algebra is a sum of a higher derivation and a higher anti-derivation. As for its applications, higher Jordan triple derivations on triangular algebras are characterized.

Derived categories of Quot schemes of locally free quotients

Abstract:This paper studies the derived category of the Quot scheme of rank $d$ locally free quotients of a sheaf $\mathscr{G}$ of homological dimension $\le 1$ over a scheme $X$. In particular, we propose a conjecture about the structure of its derived category and verify the conjecture in various cases. This framework allows us to relax certain regularity conditions on various known formulae -- such as the ones for blowups (along Koszul-regular centers), Cayley's trick, standard flips, projectivizations, and Grassmannain-flips -- and supplement these formulae with the results on mutations and relative Serre functors. This framework also leads us to many new phenomena such as virtual flips, and structural results for the derived categories of (i) $\mathrm{Quot}_2$ schemes, (ii) flips from partial desingularizations of $\mathrm{rank}\le 2$ degeneracy loci, and (iii) blowups along determinantal subschemes of codimension $\le 4$.

Abstract:Assume that M is a Hilbert C ∗ -module over a C ∗ -algebra A and δ:M→M is a map. It is shown that if δ is A -linear, then the three statements are equivalent: (1) δ is a Jordan derivation; (2) δ is a derivation; (3) δ∈L(M) and δ∗=−δ . Furthermore, we give a decomposition of M and discuss some properties about this decomposition. Based on these, it is shown that, under the assumption that A is commutative, δ is a C -linear Jordan derivation if and only if δ is a derivation. Our results generalize some known related results.

Abstract:In this paper we study cohomology and deformations of Jacobi-Jordan algebras. We develop their formal deformation theory. In particular, we introduce a method to construct a versal deformation for a given Jacobi-Jordan algebra, which can induce all deformations and is unique on the infinitesimal level. We construct formal 1-parameter deformations of Jacobi-Jordan algebras up to dimension 5 and versal deformations for 3-dimensional Jacobi-Jordan algebras.

Relations Between the Strong Global dimension, Complexes of Fixed Size and Derived Category

Abstract:Let $\mathbb{Z}$ be the integer numbers, $\mathbb{k}$ an algebraically closed field, $\Lambda$ a finite dimensional $\mathbb{k}$-algebra, mod$\Lambda$ the category of finitely generated right modules, proj$\Lambda$ the full subcategory of mod$\Lambda$ consisting of all projective $\Lambda$-modules, and $C_n(proj\Lambda)$ the bounded complexes of projective $\Lambda$-modules of fixed size for any integer $n\geq2$. We found an algorithm to calculate the strong global dimension of $\Lambda$, when $\Lambda$ has finite strong global dimension and derived-discrete, using the Auslander-Reiten quivers of the categories $C_n(proj\Lambda)$. Also, we show the relation between the Auslander-Reiten quiver of the bounded derived category $D^b(\Lambda)$ and the Auslander-Reiten quiver of $C_{\eta+1}(proj\Lambda)$, where $\eta=s.gl.dim(\Lambda)$ (strong global dimension of $\Lambda$).

Abstract:Journal of Algebra and Its Applications, Ahead of Print. In this paper, we provide a necessary and sufficient condition for a class of trivial extensions so that each Jordan derivation on such algebras can be written as the sum of a derivation and an antiderivation. Among other things, we obtain some of the known results concerning the Jordan derivations on trivial extensions with fewer assumptions. Also, as a generalization of a well-known result on triangular matrix algebras, we show that every Jordan derivation from arbitrary triangular algebra into its certain bimodule is the sum of a derivation and an antiderivation. We also apply our results for upper triangular matrix algebra [math], matrix algebra [math] and the nest algebra [math] to describe the Jordan derivations into their bimodules.

Abstract:We extend results of Brüstle-Yang on ideal quotients of 2-term subcategories of perfect derived categories of non-positive dg algebras to a relative setting. We find a new interpretation of such quotients: they appear as prototypical examples of a new construction of quotients of extriangulated categories by ideals generated by morphisms from injectives to projectives. We apply our results to Frobenius exact cluster categories and Higgs categories with suitable relative extriangulated structures, and to categories of walks related to gentle algebras. In all three cases, the extriangulated structures are well-behaved (they are 0-Auslander) and their quotients are equivalent to homotopy categories of two-term complexes of projectives over suitable finite-dimensional algebras.

Abstract:In this paper, we will consider derived equivalences for differential graded endomorphism algebras by Keller's approaches. First we construct derived equivalences of differential graded algebras which are endomorphism algebras of the objects from a triangle in the homotopy category of differential graded algebras. We also obtain derived equivalences of differential graded endomorphism algebras from a standard derived equivalence of finite dimensional algebras. Moreover, under some conditions, the cohomology rings of these differential graded endomorphism algebras are also derived equivalent. Then we give an affirmative answer to a problem of Dugas \cite{Dugas2015} in some special case.
