Abstract:We characterize a nonlinear full invariant of compact Banach-space maps: Let ( X , ‖.‖) and ( Y , ‖.‖) be two Banach spaces and P C ( X , Y ) be all compact maps which map ( X , ‖.‖) to ( Y , ‖.‖). Then each weak operator-topology subseries-convergent series ∑ i P i in P c ( X , Y ) is also uniform-topology subseries-convergent iff each bounded map from ( X , ‖.‖) to ( l 1 , ‖.‖ 1 ) is a compact map. Abstract:We prove in this article that every Borelian measure, for example, the distribution of a random variable, in separable Banach space has a support which is compact embedded Banach subspace; and prove that if the norm of the random variable belongs to some exponential Orlicz space, then the new subspace can be choose such that the norm of this variable in the new space also belongs to other exponential Orlicz space.

Abstract:Let~$\mathcal{A}$ be an almost disjoint family of subsets of an infinite set~$\Gamma$, and denote by~$X_{\mathcal{A}}$ the closed subspace of~$\ell_\infty(\Gamma)$ spanned by the indicator functions of intersections of finitely many sets in~$\mathcal{A}$. We show that if~$\mathcal{A}$ has cardinality greater than~$\Gamma$, then the closed subspace of~$X_{\mathcal{A}}$ spanned by the indicator functions of sets of the form $\bigcap_{j=1}^{n+1}A_j$, where $n\in\N$ and $A_1,\ldots,A_{n+1}\in\mathcal{A}$ are distinct, cannot be the kernel of any bounded operator \mbox{$X_{\mathcal{A}}\rightarrow \ell_{\infty}(\Gamma)$}. As a consequence, we deduce that the subspace \[ \bigl\{ x\in \ell_{\infty}(\Gamma) : \text{the set}\ \{\gamma \in \Gamma : \lvert x(\gamma)\rvert > \varepsilon \}\ \text{has cardinality smaller than}\ \Gamma\ \text{for every}\ \varepsilon>0\bigr\} \] of~$\ell_\infty(\Gamma)$ is not the kernel of any bounded operator on~$\ell_\infty(\Gamma)$; this generalises results of Kalton and of Pełczyński and Sudakov. Abstract:The main result of the paper: Given any $\varepsilon>0$, every locally finite subset of $\ell_2$ admits a $(1+\varepsilon)$-bilipschitz embedding into an arbitrary infinite-dimensional Banach space. The result is based on two results which are of independent interest: (1) A direct sum of two finite-dimensional Euclidean spaces contains a sub-sum of a controlled dimension which is $\varepsilon$-close to a direct sum with respect to a $1$-unconditional basis in a two-dimensional space. (2) For any finite-dimensional Banach space $Y$ and its direct sum $X$ with itself with respect to a $1$-unconditional basis in a two-dimensional space, there exists a $(1+\varepsilon)$-bilipschitz embedding of $Y$ into $X$ which on a small ball coincides with the identity map onto the first summand and on a complement of a large ball coincides with the identity map onto the second summand.

Abstract:We prove that an order continuous Banach lattice E is a KB-space if and only if each positive compact operator on E is a KB operator. Abstract:It is proved that the random integral mappings (some type of functionals of Lévy processes) are always isomorphisms between convolution semigroups of infinitely divisible measures. However, the inverse mappings are no longer of the random integral form. Domains are characterized in may ways. Compositions (iterated integrals) can be expressed as a single random integral mapping. Finally, all obtained results are illustrated by examples.

Abstract:We prove that several classical Banach space properties are equivalent to separability for the class of Lipschitz-free spaces, including Corson's property ($\mathcal{C}$), Talponen's Countable Separation Property, or being a Gâteaux differentiability space. On the other hand, we single out more general properties where this equivalence fails. In particular, the question whether the duals of non-separable Lipschitz-free spaces have a weak$^*$ sequentially compact ball is undecidable in ZFC. Finally, we provide an example of a nonseparable dual Lipschitz-free space that fails the Radon-Nikodým property.

Abstract:<p>We examine the chaotic behavior of certain continuous linear operators on infinite-dimensional Banach spaces, and provide several equivalent characterizations of when these operators have infinite topological entropy.</p><p>For example, it is shown that infinite topological entropy is equivalent to non-zero topological entropy for translation operators on weighted Lebesgue function spaces. In particular, finite non-zero entropy is impossible for this class of operators, which answers a question raised by Yin and Wei.</p>

Abstract:We consider a two-sided sequence of bounded operators in a Banach space which are not necessarily injective and satisfy two properties (SVG) and (FI). The singular value gap (SVG) property says that two successive singular values of the cocycle at some index $d$ admit a uniform exponential gap; the fast invertibility (FI) property says that the cocycle is uniformly invertible on the fastest $d$-dimensional direction. We prove the existence of a uniform equivariant splitting of the Banach space into a fast space of dimension $d$ and a slow space of co-dimension $d$. We compute an explicit constant lower bound on the angle between these two spaces using solely the constants defining the properties (SVG) and (FI). We extend the results obtained in the finite-dimensional case for bijective operators and the results obtained by Blumenthal and Morris in the infinite-dimensional case for injective norm-continuous cocycles, in the direction that the operators are not required to be globally injective, that no dynamical system is involved, and no compactness of the underlying system or smoothness of the cocycle is required. Moreover, we give quantitative estimates of the angle between the fast and slow spaces that are new even in the case of finite-dimensional bijective operators in Hilbert spaces.
