Abstract:Abstract Nowadays, the stock market’s prediction is a topic that attracted researchers in the world. Stock market prediction is a process that requires a comprehensive understanding of the data stock movement and analysis it accurately. Therefore, it needs intelligent methods to deal with this task to ensure that the prediction is as correct as possible, which will return profitable benefits to investors. The main goal of this article is the employment of effective machine learning techniques to build a strong model for stock market prediction. The work involved three stages, the first stage involved preprocessing for the stock market data set, then the second stage which involved employing two from supervised machine learning techniques namely K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) and Random Forest (RF), and finally, the evaluation stage of accuracy and efficiency of the prediction for the two proposed models. The results experiments showed that the two proposed models achieved a high accuracy ratio and the RF model was the best of prediction accuracy, where it reached 93.23%, 93.12% and 93.17% respectively according to evaluation measures precision, recall, and F-measure.

Abstract:Stock market price data is generated in huge volume and it changes every second. Stock market is a complex and challenging system where people will either gain money or lose their entire life savings. In this research work, an attempt is made for prediction of stock market trend.The predicting of exchange movements may be a big drawback in Stock market. Social media is utterly representing people’s sentiment and opinions regarding the current events. Twitter has played a big role in attracting loads of attention from researchers for finding out people sentiments. Exchange prediction supported public sentiments expressed on Twitter associated with alternative social media have been the main field of analysis. To achieve the goal, this research work primarily uses machine learning techniques to discover various factors linked to stock market. Machine learning approaches have a successful outcome in extracting information by building together stock market predicting models from stock datasets. To predict stock market, the quarrying of information from these data can be useful. The work is to look at how well the changes available i.e. Cost of corporation, the ups and downs, are correlating with the public opinions being expressed in tweets of the company. Abstract:A stock (also known as equity) is a security that represents the ownership of a fraction of a corporation. This entitles the owner of the stock to a proportion of the corporation's assets and profits equal to how much stock they own. Units of stock are called "shares." In today's finance world stock trading is one of the most significant exercises. Stock market prediction is a demonstration of attempting to decide the future estimation of the stock price and other monetary characteristics related to stock trading. This paper clarifies the forecast of a stock making use of Machine Learning. The technical and central or the time series analysis is utilized by the a large portion of the stockbrokers while making the stock forecasts. Primarily, only numerical data was being used for stock prediction. A much better and accurate way is to use of fundamental analysis i.e. to factor in the real economy into the predictions. Using news articles to predict the stock movement on a daily basis is much more reliable. Naive Bayes, Random Forests, Perceptrons and Linear Support Vector Machines are the Machine Learning methods which have been used for prediction. Linear support vector machines are highly regarded as one of the better text classification machine learning techniques.

Abstract:This paper tries to address the problem of stock market prediction leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) strategies. The stock market prediction can be modeled based on two principal analyses called technical and fundamental. In the technical analysis approach, the regression machine learning (ML) algorithms are employed to predict the stock price trend at the end of a business day based on the historical price data. In contrast, in the fundamental analysis, the classification ML algorithms are applied to classify the public sentiment based on news and social media. In the technical analysis, the historical price data is exploited from Yahoo Finance, and in fundamental analysis, public tweets on Twitter associated with the stock market are investigated to assess the impact of sentiments on the stock market's forecast. The results show a median performance, implying that with the current technology of AI, it is too soon to claim AI can beat the stock markets.

Abstract:The stock market is notorious for its intense uncertainty and instability, and researchers and investors alike often try a detailed and useful way to direct their stock trading. Long short-term memory (LSTM) neural networks are a subtype of Recurrent neural networks (RNNs) having significant practical utility in a wide variety of applications. Moreover, due to its unique ability to ‘remember,’ LSTMs do not depend on the long-term and can, therefore help forecast financial time series such as the stock market. In this study, we use sci-kit learn’s min-max scaler to transform the data, extract features, and establish our model for prediction. To make our analysis holistic, we use daily price data for two entities listed on two different stock exchanges. All stages of the study have been conducted using various libraries of the Python programming language using the iPython Notebook. Our results suggest that LSTMs may be more effective than traditional linear techniques such as ARIMA since the latter can not capture the non-linear factors of a problem. Furthermore, even though LSTM is better for the issue at hand, they may perform worse for others unless tuned accordingly.

Abstract:Abstract: Prediction of stock prices is one of the most researched topics and gathers interest from academia and the industry alike. In the finance world stock trading is one of the most important activities. Stock market prediction is an act of trying to determine the future value of a stock other financial instrument traded on a financial exchange. This paper explains the prediction of a stock using Machine Learning. The technical and fundamental or the time series analysis is used by the most of the stockbrokers while making the stock predictions. The programming language is used to predict the stock market using machine learning is Python. In this paper we propose a Machine Learning (ML) approach that will be trained from the available stocks data and gain intelligence and then uses the acquired knowledge for an accurate prediction. The paper focuses on the use of Linear Regression, Moving Average, K-Nearest Neighbours, Auto ARIMA, Prophet, and LSTM based Machine learning techniques to predict stock values. Factors considered are open, close, low, high and volume. The models are evaluated using standard strategic indicators: RMSE and MAPE. The low values of these two indicators show that the models are efficient in predicting stock closing price. We conducted comprehensive evaluations on frequently used machine learning models and conclude that our proposed solution outperforms due to the comprehensive feature engineering that we built. The system achieves overall high accuracy for stock market price prediction. This work contributes to the stock analysis research community both in the financial and technical domains. Comparative Study of Machine Learning Models for Stock Price Prediction

Abstract:In this work, we apply machine learning techniques to historical stock prices to forecast future prices. To achieve this, we use recursive approaches that are appropriate for handling time series data. In particular, we apply a linear Kalman filter and different varieties of long short-term memory (LSTM) architectures to historical stock prices over a 10-year range (1/1/2011 - 1/1/2021). We quantify the results of these models by computing the error of the predicted values versus the historical values of each stock. We find that of the algorithms we investigated, a simple linear Kalman filter can predict the next-day value of stocks with low-volatility (e.g., Microsoft) surprisingly well. However, in the case of high-volatility stocks (e.g., Tesla) the more complex LSTM algorithms significantly outperform the Kalman filter. Our results show that we can classify different types of stocks and then train an LSTM for each stock type. This method could be used to automate portfolio generation for a target return rate.

Abstract:The stock market's inherent volatility poses ongoing challenges for stock traders, as it is subject to a multitude of circumstances that exert influence on its behavior. This research aims to mitigate the risk associated with forecasting stock market trends through the utilization of deep learning and machine learning techniques. Eleven machine learning models were utilized in this study: random forest, logistic regression, xgboost, naive Bayes, K-nearest neighbors, decision tree and support vector classifier and extreme gradient boosting. Additionally, two powerful deep learning techniques: recurrent neural networks (RNN) and long short term memory (LSTM) were used. From the Tehran Stock Exchange, four market groups were chosen for the experimental estimates. Petroleum, non-metallic minerals, basic metals, and diversified financials are all part of these categories.

SVM algorithm works on the large dataset value which is collected from different global financial markets. Various machine learning based models are proposed for predicting the daily trend of Market stocks. The model generates higher profit compared to the selected benchmarks. Abstract:Stock marketplace is a complicated and demanding system in which people make more money or lose their entire savings. The stock market prediction having high accuracy yields more profit for stock investors. Stock market data is generated in a very large amount and it varies quickly every second. The decision making in stock marketplace is a very challenging and strenuous task of financial stock market. The development of efficient models for prediction decisions is very difficult because of the convolution of stock market financial data and should have high accuracy. This study attempts to compare existing models for the stock market. Various Machine learning methods like Long Short Term Memory (LSTM), Convolution Neural Networks (CNN) and Convolution Neural Networks – Long Term Short Memory (CNN-LSTM) have been used for the comparison. The models are estimated using conventional strategic measure: MAE (Mean Absolute Error). The measured low values indicates that the models are effective in predicting stock prices.

Abstract:Stock price prediction can help investors to create initial pre-scenarios. The topic of this research is to predict the stock market scenario through machine learning methods. By successfully predicting the stock market situation, the movement of different stocks, etc., the possibility of buying the wrong stocks can be greatly reduced, making it possible to make huge profits by buying and selling stocks. The purpose of the research is threefold. This paper uses a market capitalization weighted index consisting of the most important 40 stocks out of the top 100 stocks with the largest market capitalization on the Paris Stock Exchange as a dataset to analyze the movement of stocks and the possibility of buying them. The stocks are analyzed and subsequently forecasted through data visualization techniques such as candlestick charts and moving average charts. Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) was used as a benchmark. This study has three main objectives: first, to study the temporal evolution of the closing prices of these stocks; second, to make stock forecasts using candlestick charts, which is the traditional method of stock analysis; and third, to analyze the closing prices of the stocks and the moving average charts, which are studied and evaluated. Stock prediction can reduce risk, guide investment decisions, realize risk management, make market references, assess the value of stocks and enhance strategic vision.

Abstract:The time series forecasting system can be used for investments in a safe environment with minimized chances of loss. The Holt–Winters algorithm followed various procedures and observed the multiple factors applied to the neural network. The final module helps filter the system to predict the various factors and provides a rating for the system. This research work uses real-time dataset of fifteen stocks as input into the system and, based on the data, predicts or forecasts future stock prices of different companies belonging to different sectors. The dataset includes approximately fifteen companies from different sectors and forecasts their results based on which the user can decide whether to invest in the particular company or not; the forecasting will give an accurate result for the customer investments.

Abstract:With the advent of technological marvels like global digitization, the prediction of the stock market has entered a technologically advanced era, revamping the old model of trading. With the ceaseless increase in market capitalization, stock trading has become a center of investment for many financial investors. Many analysts and researchers have developed tools and techniques that predict stock price movements and help investors in proper decision-making. Advanced trading models enable researchers to predict the market using non-traditional textual data from social platforms. The application of advanced machine learning approaches such as text data analytics and ensemble methods have greatly increased the prediction accuracies. Meanwhile, the analysis and prediction of stock markets continue to be one of the most challenging research areas due to dynamic, erratic, and chaotic data. This study explains the systematics of machine learning-based approaches for stock market prediction based on the deployment of a generic framework. Findings from the last decade (2011–2021) were critically analyzed, having been retrieved from online digital libraries and databases like ACM digital library and Scopus. Furthermore, an extensive comparative analysis was carried out to identify the direction of significance. The study would be helpful for emerging researchers to understand the basics and advancements of this emerging area, and thus carry-on further research in promising directions.

Abstract:In an era of machine learning, many fields outside of computer science have implemented machine learning as a tool [5]. In the financial world, a variety of machine learning models are used to predict the future prices of a stock in order to optimize profit. This paper preposes a stock prediction algorithm that focuses on the correlation between the price of a stock and its public sentiments shown on social media [6].We trained different machine learning algorithms to find the best model at predicting stock prices given its sentiment. And for the public to access this model, a web-based server and a mobile application is created. We used Thunkable, a powerful no code platform, to produce our mobile application [7]. It allows anyone to check the predictions of stocks, helping people with their investment decisions.

Abstract:The stock market has consistently remained a focal point of substantial concern for investors. Nevertheless, due to the intricate, tumultuous, and often noisy nature of the stock market, forecasting stock trends presents a formidable obstacle. To augment the accuracy of stock trend predictions, the author adopts a combination of the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) neural network and a noise reduction technique known as Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition (EEMD). This composite model is employed to develop predictions for the daily stock price increases, aiming to provide more precise insights into market behavior. The framework is capable of generating the daily stock price change trend curve based on the training outcomes. EEMD, standardization, and other data preprocessing methods can effectively reduce the noise of the stock market. In this paper, three U.S. stocks from 2010 to 2023 are chosen as the research subjects. After the training is completed, the prediction curve generated by the model closely aligns with the actual curve. Furthermore, three commonly used evaluation metrics were utilized to assess the models performance. Based on all those experimental outcomes, this model adeptly forecasts the stocks trend.

This research aims to use a machine-learning algorithm to estimate the closing stock price of a dataset to help aid in the prediction of stock prices leading to higher accuracy in prediction. The intention of the model is for it to be used as a day trading guide. The algorithm being used is called the least-squares linear regression model. It takes in a dependent variable, in this case, would be our closing price of the stock and an independent variable, which is the day each stock price was recorded.

Abstract:The economy is the foremost part of any countries establishment of an asset in stock market is a financial barometer. A barometer is data points that represent trends in the market. Indian stock market has two exchanges, and the oldest stock exchange is the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). In terms of volume, The National Stock Exchange is the largest stock exchange. Exchanges are the actual prices where stocks are bought and sold. Whereas an index is a grouping of company stocks that measures changes in the broader stock market or a sector of the stock market. Two Indian market indexes are Sensex and Nifty. Earlier prediction of the stock market was usually forecasted by the financial professionals. Nowadays, with the advancement of data analytics and machine learning techniques computer professionals also embraced prediction. Machine learning and data analytics are some of the most existing recent technologies. This study aims to predict the five sectors like pharmaceuticals, banking, fast‐moving consumer goods, power, and automobile sectors. From the five sectors selected, the following companies are selected: pharmaceutical sector: Cipla and Torrent Pharma; banking sector: ICICI bank and SBI; FMCG sector: ITC and Hindustan Unilever; power sector: Adani Power Ltd. and Power Grid Ltd; and automobile Sector: Mahindra & Mahindra and Maruti Suzuki Ltd. The above company's stock prices are predicted by the machine learning technique, i.e., linear regression, and by deep learning technique, i.e., long short‐term memory (LSTM), which are used. Using the above techniques, stock prices are predicted more accurately, therefore, help the investors to gain more profits.

Abstract:Forecasting stock values is challenging due to market volatility and numerous financial variables, such as news, social media, political changes, investor emotions, and the general economy. Predicting stock value using financial data alone may be insufficient. By combining sentiment analysis from social media with financial stock data, more accurate predictions can be achieved. We use an ensemble-based model employing multi-layer perceptron, long short-term memory, and convolutional neural network models to estimate sentiment in social media posts. Our models are trained on AAPL, CSCO, IBM, and MSFT stocks, using financial data and sentiment from Twitter between 2015-2019. Results show that combining financial and sentiment information improves stock market prediction performance, achieving a next-hour prediction performance of 74.3%.

Abstract:Economic forecasting provides excellent profit opportunities and is a major motivator for most researchers in this field. In the fast-growing business world, the behavior of stock prediction is challenging for most stockholders and commercial investors. It provides benefits to investors to invest more confidently. Machine learning is an emerging technology that provides the capability to learn on its own through real-world intercommunications. Regression is the fundamental technique in machine learning which is useful for real-time applications. This paper experiments with stock price prediction effectively by using three machine learning techniques i.e. linear regression, decision tree, and support vector machine. The techniques were applied to the ARAMCO and Saudi Dairy dataset and the performance is evaluated using various parameters such as R2 value, MAPE, and RMSE. The results substantiated the hypothesis.
