Abstract:We derive the Serre relations for the generators of the quantum loop algebra L(sl_2) of the superintegrable tau_2 model in Q not 0 sectors, thus proving a fundamental conjecture in an earlier paper on the superintegrable chiral Potts model.

Abstract:In this note, we establish several interesting connections between the super- group gauge theories and the super integrable systems, i.e. gauge theories with supergroups as their gauge groups and integrable systems defined on superalgebras. In particular, we construct the super-characteristic polynomials of super-Toda lattice and elliptic double Calogero-Moser system by considering certain orbifolded instanton partition functions of their corresponding supergroup gauge theories. We also derive an exotic generalization of sl(2) XXX spin chain arising from the instanton partition function of SQCD with super- gauge group, and study its Bethe ansatz equation.

Two-Loop Superstrings in Hyperelliptic Language I: the Main Results

Abstract:Following the new gauging fixing method of D'Hoker and Phong, we study two-loop superstrings in hyperelliptic language. By using hyperelliptic representation of genus 2 Riemann surface we derive a set of identities involving the Szegö kernel. These identities are used to prove the vanishing of the cosmological constant and the non-renormalization theorem point-wise in moduli space by doing the summation over all the 10 even spin structures. Modular invariance is maintained at every stage of the computation explicitly. The 4-particle amplitude is also computed and an explicit expression for the chiral integrand is obtained. We use this result to show that the perturbative correction to the $R^4$ term in type II superstring theories is vanishing at two loops. In this paper, a summary of the main results is presented with detailed derivations to be provided in two subsequent publications.

Abstract:A detailed derivation from first principles is given for the unambiguous and slice-independent formula for the two-loop superstring chiral measure which was announced in the first paper of this series. Supergeometries are projected onto their super period matrices, and the integration over odd supermoduli is performed by integrating over the fibers of this projection. The subtleties associated with this procedure are identified. They require the inclusion of some new finite-dimensional Jacobian superdeterminants, a deformation of the worldsheet correlation functions using the stress tensor, and perhaps paradoxically, another additional gauge choice, ``slice \hat\mu choice'', whose independence also has to be established. This is done using an important correspondence between superholomorphic notions with respect to a supergeometry and holomorphic notions with respect to its super period matrix. Altogether, the subtleties produce precisely the corrective terms which restore the independence of the resulting gauge-fixed formula under infinitesimal changes of gauge-slice. This independence is a key criterion for any gauge-fixed formula and hence is verified in detail.

The Schur-Weyl duality and Invariants for classical Lie superalgebras

Abstract:In this article, we provide a comprehensive characterization of invariants of classical Lie superalgebras from the super-analog of the Schur-Weyl duality in a unified way. We establish $\mathfrak{g}$-invariants of the tensor algebra $T(\mathfrak{g})$, the supersymmetric algebra $S(\mathfrak{g})$, and the universal enveloping algebra $\mathrm{U}(\mathfrak{g})$ of a classical Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{g}$ corresponding to every element in centralizer algebras and their relationship under supersymmetrization. As a byproduct, we prove that the restriction on $T(\mathfrak{g})^{\mathfrak{g}}$ of the projection from $T(\mathfrak{g})$ to $\mathrm{U}(\mathfrak{g})$ is surjective, which enables us to determine the generators of the center $\mathcal{Z}(\mathfrak{g})$ except for $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{osp}_{2m|2n}$. Additionally, we present an alternative algebraic proof of the triviality of $\mathcal{Z}(\mathfrak{p}_n)$. The key ingredient involves a technique lemma related to the symmetric group and Brauer diagrams.

Two-Variable Wilson Polynomials and the Generic Superintegrable System on the 3-Sphere

Abstract:We show that the symmetry operators for the quantum superintegrable system on the 3-sphere with generic 4-parameter potential form a closed quadratic algebra with 6 linearly independent generators that closes at order 6 (as differential operators). Further there is an algebraic relation at order 8 expressing the fact that there are only 5 algebraically independent generators. We work out the details of modeling physically relevant irreducible representations of the quadratic algebra in terms of divided difference operators in two variables. We determine several ON bases for this model including spherical and cylindrical bases. These bases are expressed in terms of two variable Wilson and Racah polynomials with arbitrary parameters, as defined by Tratnik. The generators for the quadratic algebra are expressed in terms of recurrence operators for the one-variable Wilson polynomials. The quadratic algebra structure breaks the degeneracy of the space of these polynomials. In an earlier paper the authors found a similar characterization of one variable Wilson and Racah polynomials in terms of irreducible representations of the quadratic algebra for the quantum superintegrable system on the 2-sphere with generic 3-parameter potential. This indicates a general relationship between 2nd order superintegrable systems and discrete orthogonal polynomials.

Supersymmetric Calogero-Moser-Sutherland models: superintegrability structure and eigenfunctions

Abstract:We first review the construction of the supersymmetric extension of the (quantum) Calogero-Moser-Sutherland (CMS) models. We stress the remarkable fact that this extension is completely captured by the insertion of a fermionic exchange operator in the Hamiltonian: sCMS models ({\it s} for supersymmetric) are nothing but special exchange-type CMS models. Under the appropriate projection, the conserved charges can thus be formulated in terms of the standard Dunkl operators. This is illustrated in the rational case, where the explicit form of the 4N (N being the number of bosonic variables) conserved charges is presented, together with their full algebra. The existence of 2N commuting bosonic charges settles the question of the integrability of the srCMS model. We then prove its superintegrability by displaying 2N-2 extra independent charges commuting with the Hamiltonian. In the second part, we consider the supersymmetric version of the trigonometric case (stCMS model) and review the construction of its eigenfunctions, the Jack superpolynomials. This leads to closed-form expressions, as determinants of determinants involving supermonomial symmetric functions. Here we focus on the main ideas and the generic aspects of the construction: those applicable to all models whether supersymmetric or not. Finally, the possible Lie superalgebraic structure underlying the stCMS model and its eigenfunctions is briefly considered.

Abstract:We propose a triality relating the Double-Scaled SYK model, $SL(2,\mathbb{C})$ Chern-Simons theory on a disk with an irregular singularity at the center and the outcome of ``real Schur quantization'' applied to $SU(2)$ Seiberg-Witten theory with Neumann boundary conditions. We give supporting evidence for our conjecture by establishing a precise match between a general class of correlators in all three systems.

Abstract:We demonstrate that commutativity of numerous one-dimensional subalgebras in $W_{1+\infty}$ algebra, i.e. the existence of many non-trivial integrable systems described in recent <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2303.05273" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2303.05273">arXiv:2303.05273</a> follows from the subset of relations in algebra known as Serre relations. No other relations are needed for commutativity. The Serre relations survive the deformation to the affine Yangian $Y(\hat{\mathfrak{gl}}_1)$, hence the commutative subalgebras do as well. A special case of the Yangian parameters corresponds to the $\beta$-deformation. The preservation of Serre relations can be thought of a selection rule for proper systems of commuting $\beta$-deformed Hamiltonians. On the contrary, commutativity in the extended family associated with ``rational (non-integer) rays" is {\it not} reduced to the Serre relations, and uses also other relations in the $W_{1+\infty}$ algebra. Thus their $\beta$-deformation is less straightforward.

Abstract:In this paper we study the simplifying effects of supersymmetry on celestial OPEs at both tree and loop level. We find at tree level that theories with unbroken supersymmetry around a stable vacuum have celestial soft current algebras satisfying the Jacobi identity, and we show at one loop that celestial OPEs in these theories have no double poles.

Abstract:We recently proved that, when integrating out spacetime dependence with a certain measure, four-point correlators $\langle \mathcal{O}_2\mathcal{O}_2\mathcal{O}^{(i)}_p \mathcal{O}^{(j)}_p \rangle$ in $SU(N)$ $\mathcal{N}=4$ super Yang-Mills are governed by a universal Laplace-difference equation. Here $\mathcal{O}^{(i)}_p$ is a superconformal primary with charge $p$ and degeneracy $i$. These observables, called integrated correlators, are modular functions of coupling $\tau$. The Laplace-difference equation relates integrated correlators of different charges recursively. In this paper, we introduce generating functions for the integrated correlators that sum over the charge. By utilising the Laplace-difference equation, we determine the generating functions given initial data. We show that the transseries of the integrated correlators in the large-$p$ (large-charge) expansion consists of three parts: 1) is independent of $\tau$ as a power series in $1/p$, plus an additional $\log(p)$ term if $i=j$; 2) is a power series in $1/p$, with coefficients given by a sum of the non-holomorphic Eisenstein series; 3) is a sum of exponentially decayed modular functions in the large-$p$ limit, which can be viewed as a generalisation of the non-holomorphic Eisenstein series. When $i=j$, there is an additional modular function that is independent of $p$ and is determined by the integrated correlator with $p=2$. The Laplace-difference equation was obtained with a reorganisation of the operators that means the large-charge limit is taken in a particular way here. From the $SL(2,\mathbb{Z})$-invariant results, we also determine the generalised 't Hooft genus expansion and associated large-$p$ non-perturbative corrections of the integrated correlators by introducing $\lambda = pg^2_{YM}$. The generating functions have subtle differences between even and odd $N$ with important consequences in resurgence.

Superintegrable systems associated to commutants of Cartan subalgebras in enveloping algebras

Abstract:We provide a classification and explicit formulas for the elements that span the centralizer of Cartan subalgebras of complex semisimple Lie algebras of non-exceptional type in their universal enveloping algebra, and show that these generate polynomial (Poisson) algebras. The precise structure for the case of rank three simple Lie algebras is provided, and the inclusion relations between the corresponding polynomial algebras illustrated. We develop the ideas of constructing algebraic superintegrable systems and their integrals from the generators of the centralizer subalgebras and their symmetry algebra. In particular, we present explicitly one example the superintegrable system corresponding to the Cartan centralizer of $\mathfrak{so}(6,\mathbb{C})$.

Abstract:In the past few years, the unifying frameworks of 4-dimensional Chern-Simons theory and affine Gaudin models have allowed for the systematic construction of a large family of integrable σ -models. These models depend on the data of a Riemann surface C (here of genus 0 or 1) and of a meromorphic 1-form ω on C , which encodes the geometry of their spectral parameter and the analytic structure of their Lax connection. The main subject of this paper is the renormalisation of these theories and in particular two conjectures describing their 1-loop RG-flow in terms of the 1-form ω . These conjectures were put forward in [1] and [2] and were proven in a variety of cases. After extending the proposal of [1] to the elliptic setup (with C of genus 1), we establish the equivalence of these two conjectures and discuss some of their applications. Moreover, we check their veracity on an explicit example, namely an integrable elliptic deformation of the Principal Chiral Model on .

Abstract:The graded off-diagonal Bethe ansatz method is proposed to study supersymmetric quantum integrable models (i.e., quantum integrable models associated with superalgebras). As an example, the exact solutions of the <math>SU(2|2)</math> vertex model with both periodic and generic open boundary conditions are constructed. By generalizing the fusion techniques to the supersymmetric case, a closed set of operator product identities about the transfer matrices are derived, which allows us to give the eigenvalues in terms of homogeneous or inhomogeneous <math>T−Q</math> relations. The method and results provided in this paper can be generalized to other high rank supersymmetric quantum integrable models.

Abstract:For integrable inhomogeneous supersymmetric spin chains (generalized graded magnets) constructed employing Y(gl(N|M))-invariant R-matrices in finite-dimensional representations we introduce the master T-operator which is a sort of generating function for the family of commuting quantum transfer matrices. Any eigenvalue of the master T-operator is the tau-function of the classical mKP hierarchy. It is a polynomial in the spectral parameter which is identified with the 0-th time of the hierarchy. This implies a remarkable relation between the quantum supersymmetric spin chains and classical many-body integrable systems of particles of the Ruijsenaars-Schneider type. As an outcome, we obtain a system of algebraic equations for the spectrum of the spin chain Hamiltonians.

Abstract:A non-Hermitian generalisation of the Marsden--Weinstein reduction method is introduced to construct families of quantum $\mathcal{PT}$-symmetric superintegrable models over an $n$-dimensional sphere $S^n$. The mechanism is illustrated with one- and two-dimensional examples, related to $u(2)$ and $u(3)$ Lie algebras respectively, providing new quantum models with real spectra and spontaneous $\mathcal{PT}$-symmetric breaking. In certain limits, the models reduce to known non-Hermitian systems and complex extensions of previously studied real superintegrable systems.

On rank two theories with eight supercharges part II: Lefschetz pencils

Abstract:The global Seiberg-Witten (SW) geometries for rank two theories with eight supercharges are studied. The theory is deformed generically so that there are only simplest $I_1$ or $\tilde{I}_1$ singularities on the Coulomb branch, which then geometrically gives the so-called Lefchetz pencils, The local singularity was shown to be determined by the conjugacy class of mapping class group (MCG); The global study is then reduced to the questions about MCG: a) Find the factorization of the MCG element of the singular fiber into positive products of Dehn twists (which gives the $I_1$ singularity or $\tilde{I}_1$ singularity); b) Find the factorization of identity element in terms of Dehn twists. We solved above two MCG problems for most rank two theories.The results are very helpful in determining IR physics for all vacua of 4d SCFTs. Our approach is combinatorial and many aspects can be straightforwardly generalized to the study of higher rank theory.

Abstract:We study the integrability properties of planar $ \mathcal{N}=2 $ superconformal field theories in four dimensions. We show that the spin chain associated to the planar dilation operator of $ \mathcal{N}=2 $ superconformal QCD fails to be integrable at two loops. In our analysis we focus on a closed SU(2|1) sector, whose two-loop spin chain we fix by symmetry arguments (up to a few undetermined coefficients). It turns out that the Yang-Baxter equation for magnon scattering is not satisfied in this sector. On the other hand, we suggest that the closed SU(2, 1|2) sector, which exists in any $ \mathcal{N}=2 $ superconformal gauge theory, may be integrable to all loops. We summarize the known results in the literature that are consistent with this conjecture.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish a converse to Schur's theorem for Lie superalgebras $ L $, focusing on cases where the minimal generator number pairs $(p \vert q)$ of $ L/Z(L) $ are considered, and where the superdimension $ \mathrm{sdim} L^{2} $ is finite. We introduce a new invariant $ st(L) $, which plays a key role in the classification of finite-dimensional nilpotent Lie superalgebras. Specifically, we classify the structure of all such Lie superalgebras $ L $ when $ st(L) \in \{(0,0), (1,0), (0,1), (2,0), (0,2), (1,1)\} $.
