Abstract:A method of reachable set estimation for large-scale switched systems is developed in this paper and the boundaries of reachable set can be calculated by LMI (Linear Matrix Inequality) tool. A tractable condition is proposed to compute an over-approximation of reachable set of a given large-scale switched system under arbitrary switching laws. With the help of the specialized multi-Lyapunov functions for large-scale switched systems, the decentralized state feedback controllers can be designed to guarantee the state trajectories of the to be bounded into a prescribed set and ensure the closed-loop large-scale switched systems GUAS. Besides, the reachable set and stability for the subsystem of large-scale switched systems are also considered in our paper. Because the states of the subsystem often get more attention than the whole system. The problem of conservativeness is considered and the boundary value of the reachable set for the large-scale switched systems can be optimized so that the reachable set estimation can be computed as small as possible. Finally, the correctness and feasibility of our theories in this paper are verified by a numerical example and a practical example of an inverted pendulum. The reachable set estimation and stabilization problems of large-scale switched systems have been investigated in this paper. To start with, a class of specific Lyapunov functions for the reachable set estimation of large-scale switched systems is proposed. Secondly, by the method of the proposed specific Lyapunov functions of the large-scale switched systems, the boundary of system state response is calculated under arbitrary switching, which might be used for the safety verification. Then, the concept of decentralized control is introduced and the decentralized state feedback controllers are developed to ensure the state trajectories of the closed-loop large-scale switched systems are limited within the estimated set and guarantee the system globally uniformly asymptotically stable. Finally, several numerical and practical examples are established to confirm the effectiveness and correctness of our results.
