Abstract:According to Abel's lemma and the method of linear combinations, we establish numerous contiguous relations of $_3\phi_2$-series, which can be regarded as q-analogues of the contiguous relations of $_3F_2$-series due to Krattenthaler and Rivoal [12] or Chu and Wang [4].

Abstract:The present paper is mainly concerned with a balanced partial q -series. By the classical Abel lemma on summation by parts, we establish the q -contiguous relations for the partial sum whose iterating cases embrace many new summation and transformation formulae as well as some known results. Of particular interest are one identity of Rogers–Ramanujan type and two identities of partial theta functions.

Relations for a class of terminating ${}_4F_3(4)$ hypergeometric series

Abstract:We derive relations for a certain class of terminating ${}_4F_3(4)$ hypergeometric series with three free parameters. The invariance group composed of these relations is shown to be isomorphic to the symmetric group $S_3$. We further study relations for terminating ${}_3F_2(4)$ series that fall under two families. By using a series reversal, we examine the corresponding terminating ${}_4F_3(1/4)$ and ${}_3F_2(1/4)$ series relations. We additionally derive formulas for the sums of the first $n+1$ terms of several nonterminating ${}_3F_2(4)$ and ${}_3F_2(1/4)$ series. We also show how certain known summation formulas for terminating ${}_2F_1(4)$ and ${}_3F_2(4)$ series follow as limiting cases of some of our relations.

Abstract:By employing the bisection series approach, two classes of nonterminating 3F2(1)-series are examined. Several new summation formulae are established in closed form through the summation formulae of Gauss and Kummer for the 2F1(±1)-series. They are expressed in terms of well-known functions such as π, Euler–Gamma, and logarithmic functions, which can be used in physics and applied sciences for numerical and theoretical analysis.

Abstract:With the help of El Bachraoui's lemma, the creative microscoping method, and a new form of the Chinese remainder theorem for coprime polynomials, we prove a $q$-supercongruence for double series and a $q$-supercongruence for triple series modulo the sixth power of a cyclotomic polynomial. As conclusions, two corresponding supercongruences for double and triple series, which are associated with the (D.2) supercongruence of Van Hamme, are given.

Abstract:Using the method of the $q$-exponential differential operator, we give an extension of the Sears $_4\phi_3$ transformation formula. Based on this extended formula and a $q$-series expansion formula for an analytic function around the origin, we present a transformation formula for triple $q$-series, which includes several interesting special cases, especially a double $q$-series summation formula. Some applications of this transformation formula to Rogers-Hecke type series are discussed. More than 100 Rogers-Hecke type identities including Andrews' identities for the sums of three squares and the sums of three triangular numbers are obtained.

Abstract:We present a family of conjectural relations in the tautological cohomology of the moduli spaces of stable algebraic curves of genus $g$ with $n$ marked points. A large part of these relations has a surprisingly simple form: the tautological classes involved in the relations are given by stable graphs that are trees and that are decorated only by powers of the psi-classes at half-edges. We show that the proposed conjectural relations imply certain fundamental properties of the Dubrovin-Zhang (DZ) and the double ramification (DR) hierarchies associated to F-cohomological field theories. Our relations naturally extend a similar system of conjectural relations, which were proposed in an earlier work of the first author together with Guéré and Rossi and which are responsible for the normal Miura equivalence of the DZ and the DR hierarchy associated to an arbitrary cohomological field theory. Finally, we prove all the above mentioned relations in the case $n=1$ and arbitrary $g$ using a variation of the method from a paper by Liu and Pandharipande, this can be of independent interest. In particular, this proves the main conjecture from our previous joined work together with Hernández Iglesias. We also prove all the above mentioned relations in the case $g=0$ and arbitrary $n$.

Abstract:The goal of this article is to study some basic algebraic and combinatorial properties of "generalized $n$-series" over a commutative ring $R$, which are functions $s: \mathbf{Z}_{\geq 0} \to R$ satisfying a mild condition. A special example of generalized $n$-series is given by the $q$-integers $\frac{q^n-1}{q-1} \in \mathbf{Z}[\![q-1]\!]$. Given a generalized $n$-series $s$, one can define $s$-analogues of factorials (via $n!_s = \prod_{i=1}^n s(n)$) and binomial coefficients. We prove that Pascal's identity, the binomial identity, Lucas' theorem, and the Vandermonde identity admit $s$-analogues; each of these specialize to their appropriate $q$-analogue in the case of the $q$-integer generalized $n$-series. We also study the growth rates of generalized $n$-series defined over the integers. Finally, we define an $s$-analogue of the ($q$-)derivative, and prove $s$-analogues of the Poincaré lemma and the Cartier isomorphism for the affine line, as well as a pullback square due to Bhatt-Lurie.

Some $q$-supercongruences for multiple basic hypergeometric series

Abstract:In terms of several summation and transformation formulas for basic hypergeometric series, two forms of the Chinese remainder theorem for coprime polynomials, the creative microscoping method introduced by Guo and Zudilin, Guo and Li's lemma, and El Bachraoui's lemma, we establish some $q$-supercongruences for multiple basic hypergeometric series modulo the fifth and sixth powers of a cyclotomic polynomial. In detail, we generalize Guo and Li's two $q$-supercongruences for double basic hypergeometric series, which are related to $q$-analogues of Van Hamme's (C.2) supercongruence and Long's supercongruence, respectively. In addition, we also present two conclusions for double and triple hypergeometric series associated with Van Hamme's (D.2) supercongruence.

Abstract:We consider $q$-analogues of the Zeilberger-type series $$sum_{k=1}^inftyfrac{(3k-1)16^k}{k^3binom{2k}k^3}=frac{pi^2}2.$$ By finding a $q$-analogue of the WZ pair given by Guillera, we obtain a $q$-analogue of the above identity. We also conjecture a simpler $q$-analogue of the identity which states that $$sum_{n=0}^infty q^{n(n+1)/2}[3n+2]_q frac{(q;q)_n^3 (-q;q)_n}{(q^3;q^2)_{n}^3} = (1-q)^2 frac{(q^2;q^2)^4_infty}{(q;q^2)^4_infty}$$ for $|q|u003c1$.
The Quantum $A_{\infty}$-Relations on the Elliptic Curve

Abstract:We define and prove the existence of the Quantum $A_{\infty}$-relations on the Fukaya category of the elliptic curve, using the notion of the Feynman transform of a modular operad, as defined by Getzler and Kapranov. Following Barannikov, these relations may be viewed as defining a solution to the quantum master equation of Batalin-Vilkovisky geometry.

Relations between Poincaré series for quasi-complete intersection homomorphisms

Abstract:In this article we study base change of Poincaré series along a quasi-complete intersection homomorphism $\varphi\colon Q \to R$, where $Q$ is a local ring with maximal ideal $\mathfrak{m}$. In particular, we give a precise relationship between the Poincaré series $\mathrm{P}^Q_M(t)$ of a finitely generated $R$-module $M$ to $\mathrm{P}^R_M(t)$ when the kernel of $\varphi$ is contained in $\mathfrak{m}\,\mathrm{ann}_Q(M)$. This generalizes a classical result of Shamash for complete intersection homomorphisms. Our proof goes through base change formulas for Poincaré series under the map of dg algebras $Q\to E$, with $E$ the Koszul complex on a minimal set of generators for the kernel of $\varphi.$

Abstract:Lucy Slater used Bailey's $_6\psi_6$ summation formula to derive the Bailey pairs she used to construct her famous list of 130 identities of the Rogers-Ramanujan type. In the present paper we apply the same techniques to Chu's $_{10}\psi_{10}$ generalization of Bailey's formula to produce quite general Bailey pairs. Slater's Bailey pairs are then recovered as special limiting cases of these more general pairs. In re-examining Slater's work, we find that her Bailey pairs are, for the most part, special cases of more general Bailey pairs containing one or more free parameters. Further, we also find new general Bailey pairs (containing one or more free parameters) which are also implied by the $_6\psi_6$ summation formula. Slater used the Jacobi triple product identity (sometimes coupled with the quintuple product identity) to derive her infinite products. Here we also use other summation formulae (including special cases of the $_6\psi_6$ summation formula and Jackson's $_6\phi_5$ summation formula) to derive some of our infinite products. We use the new Bailey pairs, and/or the summation methods mentioned above, to give new proofs of some general series-product identities due to Ramanujan, Andrews and others. We also derive a new general series-product identity, one which may be regarded as a partner to one of the Ramanujan identities. We also find new transformation formulae between basic hypergeometric series, new identities of Rogers-Ramanujan type, and new false theta series identities. Some of these latter are a kind of "hybrid" in that one side of the identity consists a basic hypergeometric series, while the other side is formed from a theta product multiplied by a false theta series. This type of identity appears to be new.
