Abstract:In this unpublished note, we sketch an idea of using a three-piece mollifier to slightly improve the known percentages of zeros and simple zeros of the Riemann zeta-function on the critical line. Abstract:While many zeros of the Riemann zeta function are located on the critical line $\Re(s)=1/2$, the non-existence of zeros in the remaining part of the critical strip $\Re(s) \in \, ]0, 1[$ is the main scope to be proven for the Riemann hypothesis. The Riemann zeta functional leads to a relation between the zeros on either sides of the critical line. Given $s$ a complex number and $\bar{s}$ its complex conjugate, if $s$ is a zero of the Riemann zeta function in the critical strip $\Re(s) \in \, ]0, 1[$, then $\zeta(s) = \zeta(1-\bar{s})$, as a key proposition to prove the Riemann hypothesis.

Abstract:The Riemann Hypothesis is a conjecture that all non-trivial zeros of Riemann Zeta function are located on the critical line in the complex plane. Hundreds of propositions in function theory and analytic number theory rely on this hypothesis. However, the problem has been unresolved for over a century. Here we show that at least one set of quadruplet-zeros exists outside the critical line through expanding the infinite product of the Riemann Xi zero function. We found that assuming there are no zeros outside the critical line will result in a contradiction with the known result that the reciprocal sum of all zeros of the xi-function is a constant, thereby refuting the Riemann Hypothesis.

Abstract:We present an explicit formula for a weighted sum over the zeros of the Riemann zeta function. This weighted sum is evaluated in terms of a sum over the prime numbers, weighted with help of the Hermite polynomials. From the explicit formula presented in this note, it follows that prime numbers determine the distribution of the zeros of the Riemann zeta function. In fact, it is possible to compute the zeros of the zeta function without actually using this function.

Abstract:We characterize the zero-free regions of a class of functions (including the Riemann zeta function) in half-planes in terms of closures of ranges of the corresponding multiplication operators on Hardy spaces. We give an explicit characterization of these closures. As applications, we obtain a weaker version of the Nyman-Beurling-Baez-Duarte criterion, and provide some investigations on a problem relating to the Riemann hypothesis proposed by Baez-Duarte et al. Abstract:We study the behavior of $r$-fold zeta-functions of Euler-Zagier type with identical arguments $\zeta_r(s,s,\ldots,s)$ on the real line. Our basic tool is an "infinite'' version of Newton's classical identities. We carry out numerical computations, and draw graphs of $\zeta_r(s,s,\ldots,s)$ for real $s$, for several small values of $r$. Those graphs suggest various properties of $\zeta_r(s,s,\ldots,s)$, some of which we prove rigorously. When $s \in [0,1]$, we show that $\zeta_r(s,s,\ldots,s)$ has $r$ asymptotes at $\Re s=1/k$ ($1\leq k\leq r$), and determine the asymptotic behavior of $\zeta_r(s,s,\ldots,s)$ close to those asymptotes. Numerical computations establish the existence of several real zeros for $2\leq r\leq 10$ (in which only the case $r=2$ was previously known). Based on those computations, we raise a conjecture on the number of zeros for general $r$, and gives a formula for calculating the number of zeros. We also consider the behavior of $\zeta_r(s,s,\ldots,s)$ outside the interval $[0,1]$. We prove asymptotic formulas for $\zeta_r(-k,-k,\ldots,-k)$, where $k$ takes odd positive integer values and tends to $+\infty$. Moreover, on the number of real zeros of $\zeta_r(s,s,\ldots,s)$, we prove that there are exactly $(r-1)$ real zeros on the interrval $(-2n,-2(n-1))$ for any $n \geq 2$.

Abstract:We study distributions of differences of unscaled Riemann zeta zeros, $\gamma-\gamma'$, at large. We show, that independently of the location of the zeros, their differences have similar statistical properties. The distributions of differences are skewed towards the nearest zeta zero, have local maximum of variance and local minimum of kurtosis at or near each zeta zero. Furthermore, we show that distributions can be fitted with Johnson probability density function, despite the value of skewness or kurtosis of the distribution.

Abstract:In this article, we explore the Riemann zeta function with a perspective on primes and non-trivial zeros. We develop the Golomb's recurrence formula for the $n$th+1 prime, and assuming (RH), we propose an analytical recurrence formula for the $n$th+1 non-trivial zero of the Riemann zeta function. Thus all non-trivial zeros up the $n$th order must be known to generate the $n$th+1 non-trivial zero. We also explore a variation of the recurrence formulas for primes based on the prime zeta function, which will be a basis for the development of the recurrence formulas for non-trivial zeros based on the secondary zeta function. In the last part, we review the presented formulas and outline the duality between primes and non-trivial zeros. The proposed formula implies that all primes can be converted into an individual non-trivial zero (assuming RH), and conversely, all non-trivial zeros can be converted into an individual prime (not assuming RH). Also, throughout this article, we summarize numerical computation and verify the presented results to high precision.

Abstract:We present a derivation of the numerical phenomenon that differences between the Riemann zeta function's nontrivial zeros tend to avoid being equal to the imaginary parts of the zeros themselves, a property called statistical "repulsion" between the zeros and their differences. Our derivation relies on the statistical properties of the prime zeta function, whose singularity structure specifies the positions of the Riemann zeros. We show that the prime zeta function on the critical line is asymptotically normally distributed with a covariance function that is closely approximated by the logarithm of the Riemann zeta function's magnitude on the 1-line. This creates notable negative covariance at separations approximately equal to the imaginary parts of the Riemann zeros. This covariance function and the singularity structure of the prime zeta function combine to create a conditional statistical bias at the locations of the Riemann zeros that predicts the zero-difference repulsion effect. Our method readily generalizes to describe similar effects in the zeros of related L-functions.

Abstract:We prove an upper bound on the density of zeros very close to the critical line of the family of Dirichlet L‐functions of modulus q at height T. To do this, we derive an asymptotic for the twisted second moment of Dirichlet L‐functions uniformly in q and t. As a second application of the asymptotic formula, we prove that, for every integer q, at least 38.2% of zeros of the primitive Dirichlet L‐functions of modulus q lie on the critical line.

Abstract:Assuming the Riemann hypothesis, we investigate the distribution of gaps between the zeros of \xi'(s). We prove that a positive proportion of gaps are less than 0.796 times the average spacing and, in the other direction, a positive proportion of gaps are greater than 1.18 times the average spacing. We also exhibit the existence of infinitely many normalized gaps smaller (larger) than 0.7203 (1.5, respectively).

Abstract:In this paper, we present results on the uniqueness of the real zeros of the Hurwitz zeta function in given intervals. The uniqueness in question, if the zeros exist, has already been proved for the intervals $(0,1)$ and $(-N, -N+1)$ for $N \geq 5$ by Endo-Suzuki and Matsusaka respectively. We prove the uniqueness of the real zeros in the remaining intervals by examining the behavior of certain associated polynomials.
