Abstract:Using the classification theorem due to Kac we prove that any finite dimensional simple Lie superalgebra over an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0 is generated by one element.

Abstract:The maximal graded subalgebras for four families of Lie superalgebras of Cartan type over a field of prime characteristic are studied. All maximal reducible graded subalgebras are described completely and their isomorphism classes, dimension formulas are found. The classification of maximal irreducible graded subalgebras is reduced to the classification of the maximal irreducible subalgebras for the classical Lie superalgebras $\frak{gl}(m,n)$, $\frak{sl}(m,n)$ and $\frak{osp}(m,n)$.

Abstract:Based on an idea in [Gan--Savin, Represent. Theory (2005)], we give a classification of minimal representations of connected simple real Lie groups not of type $A$. Actually, we prove that there exist no new minimal representations up to infinitesimal equivalence.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish a converse to Schur's theorem for Lie superalgebras $ L $, focusing on cases where the minimal generator number pairs $(p \vert q)$ of $ L/Z(L) $ are considered, and where the superdimension $ \mathrm{sdim} L^{2} $ is finite. We introduce a new invariant $ st(L) $, which plays a key role in the classification of finite-dimensional nilpotent Lie superalgebras. Specifically, we classify the structure of all such Lie superalgebras $ L $ when $ st(L) \in \{(0,0), (1,0), (0,1), (2,0), (0,2), (1,1)\} $.

Abstract:The notion of a simple extended Lie Rinehart algebra is defined and this gives a way to construct Lie Rinehart algebras via derivations.It is a special kind of the action Lie Rinehart algebras.Under the condition that the coefficient ring is a commutative algbra and has no zero-divizors,the full classifaction of such simple extended Lie Rinehart algebras is given.For the action Lie Rinehart algebras which arise from nontrivial actions on the ring of polynomials,it is proved that they must be simple extended Lie Rinehart algebras and their standard forms are given.

Abstract:We overview classifications of simple infinite-dimensional complex $\mathbb{Z}$-graded Lie (super)algebras of polynomial growth, and their deformations. A subset of such Lie (super)algebras consist of vectorial Lie (super)algebras whose elements are vector fields with polynomial, or formal power series, or divided power coefficients. A given vectorial Lie (super)algebra with a (Weisfeiler) filtration corresponding to a maximal subalgebra of finite codimension is called W-filtered; the associated graded algebra is called W-graded. Here, we correct several published results: (1) prove our old claim "the superization of É. Cartan's problem (classify primitive Lie algebras) is wild", (2) solve a tame problem: classify simple W-graded and W-filtered vectorial Lie superalgebras, (3) describe the supervariety of deformation parameters for the serial W-graded simple vectorial superalgebras, (4) conjecture that the exceptional simple vectorial superalgebras are rigid. We conjecture usefulness of our method in classification of simple infinite-dimensional vectorial Lie (super)algebras over fields of positive characteristic.

Abstract:Recently, Grozman and Leites returned to the original Cartan's description of Lie algebras to interpret the Melikyan algebras (for p<7) and several other little-known simple Lie algebras over algebraically closed fields for p=3 as subalgebras of Lie algebras of vector fields preserving nonintegrable distributions analogous to (or identical with) those preserved by G(2), O(7), Sp(4) and Sp(10). The description was performed in terms of Cartan-Tanaka-Shchepochkina prolongs using Shchepochkina's algorithm and with the help of SuperLie package. Grozman and Leites also found two new series of simple Lie algebras. Here we apply the same method to distributions preserved by one of the two exceptional simple finite dimensional Lie superalgebras over C; for p=3, we obtain a series of new simple Lie superalgebras and an exceptional one.

In this paper, we prove that each skew-supersymmtric super-biderivation of L is inner. Furthermore, we prove that each linear super-commuting map on L is a scalar multiplication map.

Abstract:ABSTRACT The finite-dimensional odd contact Lie superalgebras KO(n, n + 1, t ) over a field of prime characteristic are studied, where n is a positive integer and t is an n-tuple of non-negative integers. In particular, it is proven that KO(n, n + 1, t ) is simple and has no non-singular associative bilinear forms. Moreover, an explicit description of the derivation superalgebra of KO(n, n + 1, t ) is given, and as a consequence it is shown that the outer derivation superalgebra of KO(n, n + 1, t ) is Abelian of dimension . Abstract:We classify all the pairs of a commutative associative algebra with an identity element and its finite-dimensional commutative locally-finite derivation subalgebra such that the commutative associative algebra is derivation-simple with respect to the derivation subalgebra over an algebraically closed field with characteristic 0. Such pairs are the fundamental ingredients for constructing generalized simple Lie algebras of Cartan type. Moreover, we determine the isomorphic classes of the generalized simple Lie algebras of Witt Type. The structure space of these algebras is given explicitly.

Closed Form of the Baker-Campbell-Hausdorff Formula for the Generators of Semisimple Complex Lie Algebras

Abstract:Recently it has been introduced an algorithm Baker-Campbell-Hausdorff (BCH) formula, which extends the Van-Brunt and Visser recent results, leading to new closed forms of BCH formula. More recently, it has been shown that there are {\it 13 types} of such commutator algebras. We show, by providing the explicit solutions, that these include the generators of the semisimple complex Lie algebras. More precisely, for any pair, $X$, $Y$ of the Cartan-Weyl basis, we find $W$, linear combination of $X$, $Y$, such that $$ \exp(X) \exp(Y)=\exp(W) $$ The derivation of such closed forms follows, in part, by using the above mentioned recent results. The complete derivation is provided by considering the structure of of the root system. Furthermore, if $X$, $Y$ and $Z$ are three generators of the Cartan-Weyl basis, we find, for a wide class of cases, $W$, linear combination of $X$, $Y$ and $Z$, such that $$ \exp(X) \exp(Y) \exp(Z)=\exp(W) $$ It turns out that the relevant commutator algebras are {\it type 1c-i}, {\it type 4} and {\it type 5}. A key result concerns an iterative application of the algorithm leading to relevant extensions of the cases admitting closed forms of the BCH formula. Here we provide the main steps of such an iteration that will be developed in a forthcoming paper.

Abstract:We categorize all non-abelian nilpotent Lie superalgebras of dimension $(m|n)$, where $1\leq s(L)\leq 10$, and $s(L)$ is a non-negative integer defined by Nayak. Furthermore, we classify the structure of all Lie superalgebras of dimension at most five such that $\dim{L^2}=\dim\mathcal{M}(L)$.

Abstract:In this paper we study Lie 2-algebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic two, which have a triangulable Cartan subalgebra, and derive some general properties of centerless ones. These properties allow us to do an analysis on simple Lie 2-algebras of toral rank three and provide a necessary condition for simplicity. By means of this latter condition we also conclude that simple Lie 2-algebras with a triangulable Cartan subalgebra of toral rank three and of dimension less than or equal to 16 cannot exist.

Abstract:Suppose $g=g_0+g_1$ is a finite-dimensional restricted Lie superalgebra over an algebraically closed field $k$ of characteristic $p>2$. In this article, we propose a conjecture for maximal dimensions of irreducible modules over the universal enveloping algebra $U(g)$ of $g$, as a super generalization of the celebrated first Kac-Weisfeiler conjecture. It is demonstrated that the conjecture holds for all basic classical Lie superalgebras and all completely solvable restricted Lie superalgebras. In this process, we investigate irreducible representations of solvable Lie superalgebras.

Abstract:Let κ be an algebraically closed field of characteristic p>3 and g a restricted Lie superalgebra over κ. We introduce the definition of restricted cohomology for g and show its cohomology ring is finitely generated provided g is a basic classical Lie superalgebra. As a consequence, we show that the restricted enveloping algebra of a basic classical Lie superalgebra g is always wild except g=sl2 or g=osp(1|2) or g=C(2).

Abstract:In this article, we provide a comprehensive characterization of invariants of classical Lie superalgebras from the super-analog of the Schur-Weyl duality in a unified way. We establish $\mathfrak{g}$-invariants of the tensor algebra $T(\mathfrak{g})$, the supersymmetric algebra $S(\mathfrak{g})$, and the universal enveloping algebra $\mathrm{U}(\mathfrak{g})$ of a classical Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{g}$ corresponding to every element in centralizer algebras and their relationship under supersymmetrization. As a byproduct, we prove that the restriction on $T(\mathfrak{g})^{\mathfrak{g}}$ of the projection from $T(\mathfrak{g})$ to $\mathrm{U}(\mathfrak{g})$ is surjective, which enables us to determine the generators of the center $\mathcal{Z}(\mathfrak{g})$ except for $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{osp}_{2m|2n}$. Additionally, we present an alternative algebraic proof of the triviality of $\mathcal{Z}(\mathfrak{p}_n)$. The key ingredient involves a technique lemma related to the symmetric group and Brauer diagrams.
