Abstract:We develop a new and general method to prove the existence of the random attractor (strong attractor) for the primitive equations (PEs) of large-scale ocean and atmosphere dynamics under non-periodic boundary conditions and driven by infinite-dimensional additive fractional Wiener processes. In contrast to our new method, the common method, compact Sobolev embedding theorem, is to obtain the time-uniform a priori estimates in some Sobolev space whose regularity is higher than the solution space. But this method can not be applied to the 3D stochastic PEs with the non-periodic boundary conditions. Therefore, the existence of universal attractor (weak attractor) was established in previous works (see [15,16]). The main idea of our method is that we first derive that P -almost surely the solution operator of stochastic PEs is compact. Then we construct a compact absorbing set by virtue of the compact property of the solution operator and the existence of a absorbing set. We should point out that our method has some advantages over the common method of using compact Sobolev embedding theorem, i.e., using our method we only need to obtain time-uniform a priori estimates in the solution space to prove the existence of random attractor for the corresponding stochastic system, while the common method need to establish time-uniform a priori estimates in a more regular functional space than the solution space. Take the stochastic PEs for example, as the unique strong solution to the stochastic PEs belongs to C ( [ 0 , T ] ; ( H 1 ( ℧ ) ) 3 ) , in view of our method, we only need to obtain the time-uniform a priori estimates in the solution space ( H 1 ( ℧ ) ) 3 to prove the existence of random attractor for this stochastic system, while the common method need to establish time-uniform a priori estimates for the solution in the functional space ( H 2 ( ℧ ) ) 3 . However, time-uniform a priori estimates in ( H 2 ( ℧ ) ) 3 for the solution to stochastic PEs are too difficult to be established. The present work provides a general way for proving the existence of random attractor for common classes of dissipative stochastic partial differential equations driven by Wiener noises, fractional noises and even jump noises. In a forth coming paper, using this new method we [46] prove the existence of random attractor for the stochastic nematic liquid crystals equations. This is the first result about the long-time behavior of stochastic nematic liquid crystals equations.

Abstract:We study both numerical and random approximations of the global attractor for the nonlinear Schrodinger lattice equation. First, for a discrete-time Schrodinger lattice equation via the implicit Euler scheme, we prove the existence and upper semicontinuity of numerical attractors towards the global attractor when the time-size tends to zero, while a new Taylor expansion in the Hilbert space plays key role in the proof. Second, we consider the random Schrodinger lattice equation and prove the upper semicontinuity from the random attractor to the global attractor when the noise-coefficient goes to zero. Third, we show the optimal bounds and lower semicontinuity of the three (global, numerical, random) attractors with respect to the external force and dissipative constant, respectively.

Abstract:From both microscopic and macroscopic aspects, we study both discrete and random approximations of the global attractor for a nonlocal lattice dynamical system. First, we establish an abstract Taylor expansion and obtain a global attractor for the continuous-time system. Second, for the discrete-time nonlocal lattice equation via the implicit Euler scheme, we prove the existence of numerical attractors for small time-sizes, and establish the upper semicontinuity of the numerical attractors towards the global attractor as the time-size tends to zero, while the abstract Taylor expansion and error estimation play key roles in the proof. Third, for the random nonlocal lattice equation driven by nonlinear colored noise, we show the existence and upper semicontinuity of random attractors towards the global attractor when the noise-size goes to infinity. Fourth, we establish optimal bounds and several continuities of numerical attractors as well as random attractors under the Hausdorff metric.

Abstract:We prove the existence of random dynamical systems and random attractors for a large class of locally monotone stochastic partial differential equations perturbed by additive Lévy noise. The main result is applicable to various types of SPDE such as stochastic Burgers type equations, stochastic 2D Navier-Stokes equations, the stochastic 3D Leray-$\alpha$ model, stochastic power law fluids, the stochastic Ladyzhenskaya model, stochastic Cahn-Hilliard type equations, stochastic Kuramoto-Sivashinsky type equations, stochastic porous media equations and stochastic $p$-Laplace equations.

Abstract:We prove new L 2-estimates and regularity results for generalized porous media equations “shifted by” a function-valued Wiener path. To include Wiener paths with merely first spatial (weak) derivates we introduce the notion of “ζ-monotonicity” for the non-linear function in the equation. As a consequence we prove that stochastic porous media equations have global random attractors. In addition, we show that (in particular for the classical stochastic porous media equation) this attractor consists of a random point.

Abstract:We mainly consider the existence of random uniform exponential attractors for Schrödinger lattice systems with quasi-periodic forces and multiplicative white noise. We first give an existence criterion for a random uniform exponential attractor for a jointly continuous non-autonomous random dynamical system (NRDS) defined on the space of infinite sequences with complex-valued components. Then we transfer the considered stochastic Schrödinger lattice system into a random system with random parameters and quasi-periodic forces without white noise through Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process, whose solutions generate a jointly continuous NRDS. Thirdly, we prove the existence of a uniform absorbing random set for this NRDS. Fourthly, we construct a bounded closed random set and verify the Lipschitz continuity of the NRDS on this random set, and next we decompose the difference between two solutions into a sum of two parts including some random variables with bounded expectation. Finally, we obtain the existence of a random uniform exponential attractor for the considered system.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove the existence of a random exponential attractor (a positively invariant, compact, random set with finite fractal dimension that attracts any trajectory exponentially) for the 3D non-autonomous damped Navier–Stokes equation with additive noise, which implies that the asymptotic behavior of solutions for the equation can be described by finite independent parameters. The key and difficult point of this proof lies in proving the Lipschitz continuity and the random squeezing property in mean sense for the non-autonomous random dynamical system generated by solutions of the equation.

Abstract:We study the random attractors associated with the stochastic fractional Schrödinger equation on $\mathbb{R}^n$. Utilizing the stochastic Strichartz estimates for the damped fractional Schrödinger equation with Gaussian noise, we show the existence and uniqueness of a global solution to the damped stochastic fractional nonlinear Schrödinger equation in $H^{\alpha}(\mathbb{R}^n)$. Furthermore, we demonstrate that this equation defines an infinite-dimensional dynamical system, which possesses a global attractor in $H^{\alpha}(\mathbb{R}^n)$.

Abstract:We prove the existence of a random exponential attractor for a non-autonomous Zakharov lattice system with multiplicative white noise. We first transfer the stochastic lattice system into an equivalent random lattice system whose solutions generate a continuous cocycle on a phase space of infinite sequences. Then we estimate the tail of solutions for the random system. We next verify that the continuous cocycle satisfies the Lipschitz continuity and the random squeezing property on a tempered random closed absorbing set. Finally, we check the boundedness of the expectation of some random variables and obtain the existence of a random exponential attractor.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove that stochastic porous media equations over -finite measure spaces , driven by time-dependent multiplicative noise, with the Laplacian replaced by a self-adjoint transient Dirichlet operator L and the diffusivity function given by a maximal monotone multi-valued function of polynomial growth, have a unique solution. This generalizes previous results in that we work on general measurable state spaces, allow non-continuous monotone functions , for which, no further assumptions (as e.g. coercivity) are needed, but only that their multi-valued extensions are maximal monotone and of at most polynomial growth. Furthermore, an -Itô formula in expectation is proved, which is not only crucial for the proof of our main result, but also of independent interest. The result in particular applies to fast diffusion stochastic porous media equations (in particular self-organized criticality models) and cases where E is a manifold or a fractal, and to non-local operators L , as e.g. , where f is a Bernstein function.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the asymptotic behavior of solutions to the stochastic fractional complex Ginzburg-Landau equation with multiplicative noise in one spatial dimensions. We first transfer stochastic fractional Ginzburg-Landau equation into random equation which solutions generate a random dynamical system. Then, we consider the existence of a random attractor for the random dynamical system. At last we estimate the Hausdorff dimension of the random attractor by using linearization and Lyapunov exponents.

Abstract:For a nonautonomous stochastic discrete plate equation driven by multiplicative noise, we prove the unique existence of a pullback random attractor, which is a family of pullback‐attracting random compact sets parameterized by time and samples. We then establish the residual dense continuity of the pullback random attractor on the time‐sample plane with respect to the Hausdorff metric. Even without the Cantor continuum hypothesis, we show that the set of all points of continuity of the pullback random attractor is an uncountable set with the continuity cardinality. These results explain both nonexplosive and nonimplosive phenomena for the random plate lattice system.

Abstract:SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, Volume 55, Issue 4, Page 2644-2676, August 2023. The asymptotically autonomous robustness of random attractors of stochastic fluid equations defined on bounded domains has been considered in the literature. In this article, we initially consider this topic (almost surely and in probability) for a nonautonomous stochastic 2D Navier–Stokes equation driven by additive and multiplicative noises defined on some unbounded Poincaré domains. There are two significant keys to studying this topic: (1) determining the asymptotically autonomous limiting set of the time-section of random attractors as time goes to negative infinity, and (2) showing the precompactness of a time-union of random attractors over an infinite time-interval [math]. We guess and prove that such a limiting set is just determined by the random attractor of a stochastic Navier–Stokes equation (SNSE) driven by an autonomous forcing satisfying a convergent condition. The uniform "tail-smallness" and "flattening effect" of the solutions are derived in order to justify that the usual asymptotic compactness of the solution operators is uniform over [math]. This in fact leads to the precompactness of the time-union of random attractors over [math]. The idea of uniform tail-estimates due to Wang [Phys. D, 128 (1999), pp. 41–52] is employed to overcome the noncompactness of Sobolev embeddings on unbounded domains. Several rigorous calculations are given to deal with the pressure terms when we derive these uniform tail-estimates.

Abstract:A bi-spatial random attractor is obtained for the stochastic FitzHugh-Nagumo systems on unbounded thin domains when the initial space is $L^2\times L^2$ and the terminate space is $L^p\times L^2$. Furthermore, we establish the upper semi-continuity of attractors under the $p$-norm when a family of $(n+1)$-dimensional thin domains degenerates into a $n$-dimensional unbounded domain.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to study the three-dimensional globally modified Navier–Stokes equations driven by additive white noise on some unbounded domains O. By using the Ornstein–Uhlenbeck process, we transfer the original equation to a random dynamical system, and then we prove the existence of pullback attractors for the random dynamical system equations under suitable conditions. Due to the unboundedness of the domains, we get the asymptotic compactness of the solutions by Ball's idea of energy equations. The periodicity of the attractors is also proved when the deterministic non-autonomous external terms are periodic in time.
Existence and asymptotic autonomous robustness of random attractors for three-dimensional stochastic globally modified Navier-Stokes equations on unbounded domains

Abstract:In this article, we discuss the existence and asymptotically autonomous robustness (AAR) (almost surely) of random attractors for 3D stochastic globally modified Navier-Stokes equations (SGMNSE) on Poincaré domains (which may be bounded or unbounded). Our aim is to investigate the existence and AAR of random attractors for 3D SGMNSE when the time-dependent forcing converges to a time-independent function under the perturbation of linear multiplicative noise as well as additive noise. The main approach is to provide a way to justify that, on some uniformly tempered universe, the usual pullback asymptotic compactness of the solution operators is uniform across an infinite time-interval $(-\infty,\tau]$. The backward uniform ``tail-smallness'' and ``flattening-property'' of the solutions over $(-\infty,\tau]$ have been demonstrated to achieve this goal. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first attempt to establish the existence as well as AAR of random attractors for 3D SGMNSE on unbounded domains.

Convergence of bi-spatial pullback random attractors and stochastic Liouville type equations for nonautonomous stochastic p-Laplacian lattice system

Abstract:We consider convergence properties of the long-term behaviors with respect to the coefficient of the stochastic term for a nonautonomous stochastic $p$-Laplacian lattice equation with multiplicative noise. First, the upper semi-continuity of pullback random $(\ell^2,\ell^q)$-attractor is proved for each $q\in[1,+\infty)$. Then, a convergence result of the time-dependent invariant sample Borel probability measures is obtained in $\ell^2$. Next, we show that the invariant sample measures satisfy a stochastic Liouville type equation and a termwise convergence of the stochastic Liouville type equations is verified. Furthermore, each family of the invariant sample measures is turned out to be a sample statistical solution, which hence also fulfills a convergence consequence.

Abstract:In order to inherit numerically the attractor of the (random) reversible Selkov lattice equation, we propose an implicit Euler scheme (IES) in temporal direction to derive the existence of the numerical attractor. We provide a rigorous demonstration of the upper semi-continuous convergence of the numerical attractor to the global attractor when the step size is small enough. Meanwhile, we provide numerical, random, and global attractors with finite-dimensional approximation, thereby obtaining the existence of truncated attractors as the state space dimension tends to infinity. Based on the establishment of existence of random attractor, it is shown that the truncated random attractor converges upper semi-continuously to the truncated global attractor as the intensity of noise goes to zero.
