Abstract:In this paper, the criteria for minimal Horseshoe Lemma to be true are given via quasi-$\delta$-Koszul modules, which are the nongraded version of $\delta$-Koszul modules first introduced by Green and Marcos in 2005. Moreover, some applications of minimal Horseshoe Lemma are also given.

Abstract:The main aim of this article is to discuss the piecewise-Koszul property of finitely generated modules in the nongraded case. In particular, the notion of quasi-piecewise-Koszul module, a natural extension of quasi-Koszul modules (see [2]), quasi-d-Koszul modules (see [12] or [6]) and piecewise-Koszul modules (see [7]), is introduced. Let R be a Noetherian semiperfect algebra with Jacobson radical J and M a finitely generated R-module. The structure of the graded E(R) = circle plus(i >= 0) Ext(R)(i) (R/J, R/J) module E(M) = circle plus(i >= 0) Ext(R)(i) (M, R/J) is studied in detail and some necessary and sufficient conditions for a finitely generated R-module to be quasi-piecewise-Koszul are provided. Moreover, as an application of quasi-piecewise-Koszul modules, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the minimal Horseshoe Lemma to be true in the category of quasi-piecewise-Koszul modules, which perfects Theorem 2.8 of [13] and Theorem 3.1 of [9]. Finally, some applications of the minimal Horseshoe Lemma are also given.

Abstract:The notion of weakly d-Koszul module, which is a generalization of d-Koszul module, is introduced. The authors show that a finitely generated graded module M over a d-Koszul algebra is a weakly d-Koszul module if and only if it admits a tower of submodules: 0(?)U0(?)U1(?)…(?)Up= M, such that all Ui/Ui-1 are d-Koszul modules. Let A be a d-Koszul algebra and M a weakly d-Koszul module over A, it turns out that the Koszul duale(M) = ExtA*(M, A0) of M is generated in degree 0 as a graded ExtA*(A0, A0) module.
Hensel minimality: Geometric criteria for $\ell$-h-minimality

Abstract:Recently, Cluckers, Halupczok and Rideau-Kikuchi developed a new axiomatic framework for tame non-Archimedean geometry, called Hensel minimality. It was extended to mixed characteristic together with the author. Hensel minimality aims to mimic o-minimality in both strong consequences and wide applicability. In this article, we continue the study of Hensel minimality, in particular focusing on $\omega$-h-minimality and $\ell$-h-minimality, for $\ell$ a positive integer. Our main results include an analytic criterion for $\ell$-h-minimality, preservation of $\ell$-h-minimality under coarsening of the valuation and $\ell$-dimensional dimensional geometry.

Abstract:In order to study the finite generation property of the Yoneda-Ext algebras of positively graded algebras, Green and Marcos introduced delta-Koszul objects in 2005 [2]. Motivated by ([7]-[11]), we are interested in the delta-Koszulity of a finitely generated graded module over a delta-Koszul algebra and introduce the notion of weakly delta-Koszul module in this paper. The following are proved to be equivalent and are the main results of this paper: M is a weakly delta-Koszul module; the associated graded module G(M) is a delta-Koszul module; M admits a chain of graded submodules: 0 = M-0 subset of M-1 subset of M-2 subset of ...subset of M-m = M, such that all M-i/Mi-1 are delta-Koszul modules.

Abstract:We present an easily applicable sufficient condition for standard Koszul algebras to be Koszul with respect to $\Delta$. If a quasi-hereditary algebra $Ł$ is Koszul with respect to $\Delta$, then $Ł$ and the Yoneda extension algebra of $\Delta$ are Koszul dual in a sense explained below, implying in particular that their bounded derived categories of finitely generated graded modules are equivalent. We also prove that the extension algebra of $\Delta$ is Koszul in the classical sense.

The Minimal Denominator Function and Geometric Generalizations

Abstract:We provide a geometric interpretation for a normalized version of the minimal denominator function, $$q_{\min}(x,\delta)=\min\left\{q\in \mathbb{N}: \text{ there exists } p\in\mathbb{Z} \text{ such that } \frac{p}{q}\in (x-\delta,x+\delta)\right\},$$ introduced by Chen and Haynes. We use this interpretation to compute the limiting distribution of a suitably normalized version of $q_{\min}(x,\delta)$ as a function of $x$, and give generalizations of the idea of minimal denominators to higher-dimensional unimodular lattices, linear forms, and translation surfaces. The key idea is to turn this circle of problems into equidistribution problems for translates of unipotent orbits of a Lie group action on an appropriate moduli space.

Hensel minimality II: Mixed characteristic and a diophantine application

Abstract:In this paper together with the preceding Part I \cite{CHR}, we develop a framework for tame geometry on Henselian valued fields of characteristic zero, called Hensel minimality. It adds to \cite{CHR} the treatment of the mixed characteristic case. Hensel minimality is inspired by o-minimality and its role in real geometry and diophantine applications. We develop geometric results and applications for Hensel minimal structures that were previously known only under stronger or less axiomatic assumptions, and which often have counterparts in o-minimal structures. We prove a Jacobian property, a strong form of Taylor approximations of definable functions, resplendency results and cell decomposition, all under Hensel minimality, more precisely, $1$-h-minimality. We obtain a diophantine application of counting rational points of bounded height on Hensel minimal curves.

A Representation theoretic perspective of Koszul theory

Abstract:We discover a new connection between Koszul theory and representation theory. Let $\La$ be a quadratic algebra defined by a locally finite quiver with relations. Firstly, we give a combinatorial description of the local Koszul complexes and the quadratic dual $\La^!$, which enables us to describe the linear projective resolutions and the colinear injective coresolutions of graded simple $\La$-modules in terms of $\La^!$. As applications, we obtain a new class of Koszul algebras and a stronger version of the Extension Conjecture for finite dimensional Koszul algebras with a noetherian Koszul dual. Then we construct two Koszul functors, which induce a $2$-real-parameter family of pairs of derived Koszul functors between categories derived from graded $\La$-modules and those derived from graded $\La^!$-modules. In case $\La$ is Koszul, each pair of derived Koszul functors are mutually quasi-inverse, one of the pairs is Beilinson, Ginzburg and Soergel's Koszul duality. If $\La$ and $\La^!$ are locally bounded on opposite sides, then the Koszul functors induce two equivalences of bounded derived categories: one for finitely piece-supported graded modules, and one for finite dimensional graded modules. And if $\La$ and $\La^!$ are both locally bounded, then the bounded derived category of finite dimensional graded $\La$-modules has almost split triangles with the Auslander-Reiten translations and the Serre functors given by composites of derived Koszul functors.

Abstract:We define generalized Koszul modules and rings and develop a generalized Koszul theory for N-graded rings with the degree zero part noetherian semiperfect. This theory specializes to the classical Koszul theory for graded rings with degree zero part artinian semisimple developed by Beilinson-Ginzburg-Soergel and the ungraded Koszul theory for noetherian semiperfect rings developed by Green and Martinez-Villa. Let A be a left finite N-graded ring generated in degree 1 with A0 noetherian semiperfect, J be its graded Jacobson radical. By the Koszul dual of A we mean the Yoneda Ext ring Ext center dot A(A/J, A/J). If A is a generalized Koszul ring and M is a generalized Koszul module, then it is proved that the Koszul dual of the Koszul dual of A is the associated graded ring GrJ A and the Koszul dual of the Koszul dual of M is the associated graded module GrJ M. If A is a locally finite algebra, then the following statements are proved to be equivalent: A is generalized Koszul; the Koszul dual Ext center dot A(A/J, A/J) of A is (classically) Koszul; GrJ A is (classically) Koszul; the opposite ring Aop of A is generalized Koszul. As an application, it is proved that if A is generalized Koszul with finite global dimension then A is generalized AS regular if and only if the Koszul dual of A is self-injective.(c) 2022 Elsevier Inc. Abstract:In this paper we consider a wide class of generalized Lipschitz extension problems and the corresponding problem of finding absolutely minimal Lipschitz extensions. We prove that if a minimal Lipschitz extension exists, then under certain other mild conditions, a quasi absolutely minimal Lipschitz extension must exist as well. Here we use the qualifier "quasi" to indicate that the extending function in question nearly satisfies the conditions of being an absolutely minimal Lipschitz extension, up to several factors that can be made arbitrarily small.

Abstract:Under certain conditions, Koszul complexes can be used to calculate relative Betti diagrams of vector space-valued functors indexed by a poset, without the explicit computation of global minimal relative resolutions. In relative homological algebra of such functors, free functors are replaced by an arbitrary family of functors. Relative Betti diagrams encode the multiplicities of these functors in minimal relative resolutions. In this article we provide conditions under which grading the chosen family of functors leads to explicit Koszul complexes whose homology dimensions are the relative Betti diagrams, thus giving a scheme for the computation of these numerical descriptors.

Abstract:Let $R$ be a semisimple ring. A pair $(A,C)$ is called almost-Koszul if $A$ is a connected graded $R$-ring and $C$ is a compatible connected graded $R$-coring. To an almost-Koszul pair one associates three chain complexes and three cochain complexes such that one of them is exact if and only if the others are so. In this situation $(A,C)$ is said to be Koszul. One proves that a connected $R$-ring $A$ is Koszul if and only if there is a connected $R$-coring $C$ such that $(A,C)$ is Koszul. This result allows us to investigate the Hochschild (co)homology of Koszul rings. We apply our method to show that the twisted tensor product of two Koszul rings is Koszul. More examples and applications of Koszul pairs, including a generalization of Fröberg Theorem, are discussed in the last part of the paper.

Koszul Monoids in Quasi-abelian Categories

Abstract:Suppose that we have a bicomplete closed symmetric monoidal quasi-abelian category $\mathcal{E}$ with enough flat projectives, such as the category of complete bornological spaces $\textbf{CBorn}_k$ or the category of inductive limits of Banach spaces $\textbf{IndBan}_k$. Working with monoids in $\mathcal{E}$, we can generalise and extend the Koszul duality theory of Beilinson, Ginzburg, Soergel. We use an element-free approach to define the notions of Koszul monoids, and quadratic monoids and their duals. Schneiders' embedding of a quasi-abelian category into an abelian category, its left heart, allows us to prove an equivalence of certain subcategories of the derived categories of graded modules over Koszul monoids and their duals.

As an application of the reduction, the F(Delta)-finiteness of quasi-hereditary M-twisted double incidence algebras of posets is discussed. Abstract:A minimal presentation of the cohomology ring of the flag manifold $GL_n/B$ was given in [A. Borel, 1953]. This presentation was extended by [E. Akyildiz-A. Lascoux-P. Pragacz, 1992] to a non-minimal one for all Schubert varieties. Work of [Gasharov-Reiner, 2002] gave a short, i.e. polynomial-size, presentation for a subclass of Schubert varieties that includes the smooth ones. In [V. Reiner-A. Woo-A. Yong, 2011], a general shortening was found; it implies an exponential upper bound of $2^n$ on the number of generators required. That work states a minimality conjecture whose significance would be an exponential lower bound of $\sqrt{2}^{n+2}/\sqrt{\pi n}$ on the number of generators needed in worst case, giving the first obstructions to short presentations. We prove the minimality conjecture. Our proof uses the Hopf algebra structure of the ring of symmetric functions.

Construction of Koszul algebras by finite Galois covering

Abstract:It is shown that, the quasi-Koszulities of algebras and modules are Morita invariance. A finite-dimensional $K$-algebra $A$ with an action of $G$ is quasi-Koszul if and only if so is the skew group algebra $A \ast G$, where $G$ is a finite group satisfying $\char K \nmid |G|$. A finite-dimensional $G$-graded $K$-algebra $A$ is quasi-Koszul if and only if so is the smash product $A # G^*$, where $G$ is a finite group satisfying $\char K \nmid |G|$. These results are applied to prove that, if a finite-dimensional connected quiver algebra is Koszul then so are its Galois covering algebras with finite Galois group $G$ satisfying $\char K \nmid |G|$. So one can construct Koszul algebras by finite Galois covering. Moreover, a general construction of Koszul algebras by Galois covering with finite cyclic Galois group is provided. As examples, many Koszul algebras are constructed from exterior algebras and Koszul preprojective algebras by finite Galois covering with either cyclic or noncyclic Galois group.
