Abstract:A lower bound for the dimension of the $\Q$-vector space spanned by special values of a Dirichlet series with periodic coefficients is given. As a corollary, it is deduced that both special values at even integers and at odd integers contain infinitely many irrational numbers. This result is proved by <a class="link-external link-http" href="http://T.Rivoal" rel="external noopener nofollow">this http URL</a> if the function considered is the Riemann zeta function, and this paper gives its generalization to more general Dirichlet series.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is about the lower bound estimation of the linear independence of Dirichlet series with specific values. Specifically, the author Masaki Nishimoto explored the linear independence of the values of Dirichlet series with periodic coefficients at some special points, and gave a lower bound estimation of the dimension of the Q - vector space spanned by these values. This result generalizes T. Rivoal's research on the values of the Riemann zeta function at odd integer points, and proves that for a wider range of Dirichlet series, the values at both even and odd integer points contain infinitely many irrational numbers. The main contribution of the paper lies in proving the main theorem by constructing linear combinations in a specific form and using the small - value properties of these linear combinations. That is, for a given periodic Dirichlet series, the dimension of the Q - vector space spanned by its special values at positive integer points tends to infinity as the number of points considered increases. This conclusion not only deepens the understanding of the arithmetic properties of the special values of Dirichlet series, but also provides new tools and methods for further research on this type of series.
