Abstract:In this paper, we propose and study integrable discrete systems related to the classical Boussinesq system. Based on elementary and binary Darboux transformations and associated Backlund transformations, both full-discrete systems and semi-discrete systems are constructed. The discrete systems obtained from elementary Darboux transformation are shown to be the discrete systems of relativistic Toda lattice type appeared in the work of Suris (1997) and the ones from binary Darboux transformations are two-component extensions of the lattice potential KdV equation and Kac-van Moerbeke equation. For these discrete systems, their different continuum limits, various interesting reductions and Darboux-Backlund transformations are considered. Some solutions such as discrete resonant solitons are also presented.

Abstract:There are different methods of discretizing integrable systems. We consider semi-discrete analog of two-dimensional Toda lattices associated to the Cartan matrices of simple Lie algebras that was proposed by Habibullin in 2011. This discretization is based on the notion of Darboux integrability. Generalized Toda lattices are known to be Darboux integrable in the continuous case (that is, they admit complete families of characteristic integrals in both directions). We prove that semi-discrete analogs of Toda lattices associated to the Cartan matrices of all simple Lie algebras are Darboux integrable. By examining the properties of Habibullin's discretization we show that if a function is a characteristic integral for a generalized Toda lattice in the continuous case, then the same function is a characteristic integral in the semi-discrete case as well. We consider characteristic algebras of such integral-preserving discretizations of Toda lattices to prove the existence of complete families of characteristic integrals in the second direction.

Abstract:We develop a new method for constructing integrable Hamiltonian hierarchies of Lax type equations, which combines the fractional powers technique of Gelfand and Dickey, and the classical Hamiltonian reduction technique of Drinfeld and Sokolov. The method is based on the notion of an Adler type matrix pseudodifferential operator and the notion of a generalized quasideterminant. We also introduce the notion of a dispersionless Adler type series, which is applied to the study of dispersionless Hamiltonian equations. Non-commutative Hamiltonian equations are discussed in this framework as well.

Abstract:A conformal invariant asymptotic expansion approach is proposed to solve any nonlinear integrable and nonintegrable models with any dimension. Many new Painlevé integrable models with the same dimensions can be obtained at the same time. Taking the (2+1)-dimensional KdV-Burgers (KdVB) equation and the (3+1)-dimensional Zabolotskaya-Khokhlov and Kudomtsev-Petviashvili (ZKKP) equation as concrete examples, we obtain some new higher dimensional conformal invariant models with a Painlevé property and the approximate solutions of these models. In certain special cases, some of the approximate solutions become exact.

Abstract:By embedding a free function into discrete zero curvature equation, we generalize the original hierarchy of integrable differential-difference equations into a new hierarchy which includes the famous relativistic Toda hierarchy. Infinitely many conservation laws and Darboux transformation for the first nontrivial system in the new hierarchy are constructed with the help of its Lax pair. The exact solutions of the system are generated by applying the obtained Darboux transformation. Finally, the figures of one- and two-soliton solutions with proper parameters are presented to illustrate the structures of soliton solutions.

Abstract:The Lie algebraic integrability test is applied to the problem of classification of integrable Klein-Gordon type equations on quad-graphs. The list of equations passing the test is presented containing several well-known integrable models. A new integrable example is found, its higher symmetry is presented.

Abstract:We study integrals of motion for Hirota bilinear difference equation that is satisfied by the eigenvalues of the transfer-matrix. The combinations of the eigenvalues of the transfer-matrix are found, which are integrals of motion for integrable discrete models for the $A_{k-1}$ algebra with zero and quasiperiodic boundary conditions. Discrete analogues of the equations of motion for the Bullough-Dodd model and non-Abelian generalization of Liouville model are obtained.

Abstract:The article studies a class of integrable semidiscrete equations with one continuous and two discrete independent variables. Miura type transformations are obtained that relate the equations of the class. A new integrable chain of this type is found, for which the Lax pair is presented. Integrable in the sense of Darboux reductions of the chain are discussed, for small order reductions complete sets of integrals are constructed. Continuum limits for the chain are discussed. A method for finding particular solutions of chains based on integrable in sense of Darboux reductions is proposed. The effectiveness of the method is illustrated by an example.

Abstract:A spectral problem and the associated Gerdjikov-Ivanov (GI) hierarchy of nonlinear evolution equations is presented. As a reduction, the well-known GI equation of derivative nonlinear Schrodinger equations is obtained. It is shown that the GI hierarchy is integrable in a Liouville sense and possesses bi-Hamiltonian structure. Moreover, the spectral problem can be nonlinearized as a finite dimensional completely integrable system under the Bargmann constraint between the potentials and the eigenfunctions. In particular, an explicit N-fold Darboux transformation for the GI equation is constructed with the help of a gauge transformation of spectral problems and a reduction technique. Abstract:We investigate discretizations of the integrable discrete nonlinear Schrödinger dynamical system and related symplectic structures. We develop an effective scheme of invariant reducing the corresponding infinite system of ordinary differential equations to an equivalent finite system of ordinary differential equations with respect to the evolution parameter. We construct a finite set of recurrent algebraic regular relations allowing to generate solutions of the discrete nonlinear Schrödinger dynamical system and we discuss the related functional spaces of solutions. Finally, we discuss the Fourier transform approach to studying the solution set of the discrete nonlinear Schrödinger dynamical system and its functional–analytical aspects.

Abstract:It is well known that the theory of continuous integrable system has been extensively developed since the famous work by Zabusky et al [1] and Gardner et al [2,3] on the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation. A most important topic in the continuous integrable systems is detecting integrability for nonlinear partial differential equations. Integrability is closely related to the Lax pairs, the Hamiltonian structure, infinitely many conservation laws, the backlund transformation, arbitrary number of soliton solutions, symmetry, Painleve property and so on [4-8]. A number of continuous integrable systems, such as the KdV, the modified KdV, the nonlinear SchrÄodinger (NLS), the KP and so on, have been extensively studied.

Under nature structure conditions on f and g , we classify the positive solutions for the semi-linear elliptic system involving the fractional Laplacian by using the direct method of the moving spheres introducing by W. Chen, Y. Li, and R. Zhang ("A direct method of moving spheres on fractional order equations," J. Funct. Anal. , vol. 272, pp. 4131â€“4157, 2017). In the half space, we establish a Liouville type theorem without any assumption of integrability by combining the direct method of moving planes and moving spheres, which improves the result proved by W. Dai, Z. Liu, and G. Lu ("Liouville type theorems for PDE and IE systems involving fractional Laplacian on a half space," Potential Anal. , vol. 46, pp. 569â€“588, 2017).

From a mathematical point of view, the equations of motion can be written as integrable second-order nonlinear partial differential equations in 1 + 1 dimensions.

The Geometry of Darboux Integrable Elliptic Systems

Abstract:We characterize real elliptic differential systems whose solutions can be expressed in terms of holomorphic solutions to an associated holomorphic Pfaffian system $\mathcal H$ on a complex manifold. In particular, these elliptic systems arise as quotients by a group $G$ of the real differential system generated by the real and imaginary parts of $\mathcal H$, such that $G$ is the real form of a complex Lie group $K$ which is a symmetry group of $\mathcal H$. Subject to some mild genericity assumptions, we show that such elliptic systems are characterized by a property known as Darboux integrability. Examples discussed include first- and second-order elliptic PDE and PDE systems in the plane.

Abstract:It is well known that the nonlinear Schrödinger equation, the Hirota equation, and their integrable discrete versions are very important integrable equations. These integrable equations not only have deep integrability theory, but also have wide physical applications. In this paper, we focus on an integrable spatially discrete Hirota equation. The new Lax pair, Darboux transformation, rational wave solution, rogue wave solution, breather solutions and gauge equivalent structure of the spatially discrete Hirota equation are investigated. The continuous limit of the rogue wave solution and breather solution of the discrete Hirota equation yields the counterparts of the Hirota equation, which shows that the spatially discrete Hirota equation is a very good model for the numerical analysis for considering the Cauchy problem with a general initial date of the Hirota equation. Besides, we prove that this spatially discrete Hirota equation is gauge equivalent to a discrete integrable generalized Heisenberg spin model under the discrete gauge transformation. In this performance, we see that utilizing the new Lax pair, an essential properties of integrability, of the spatially discrete Hirota equation plays a significant role in the investigation of continuous limit of Lax pair of discrete integrable generalized Heisenberg spin model.
