Abstract:This article aims to explore reading instruction under the framework of core literacy. Core literacy refers to language ability, cultural character, thinking quality, and learning ability. Reading instruction is one of the important ways to cultivate students’ core literacy. Students need to read in order to understand different cultural backgrounds and values, broaden their horizons and knowledge.
