Abstract:The human reproductive sphere is a complex functioning system that closely connects physiology and psyche, as well as ensures the reproduction of man and society. Therefore, women with problems in the reproductive sphere are distinguished in a special group. There are several categories of such women: with absolute infertility, with miscarriage, able to become pregnant with ART and infertility of an unclear genesis. First of all, associated with various diseases. Due to the impossibility of realizing the function of having children, the need to constantly undergo medical examinations, procedures (for example, IVF), women are characterized by constant stress. In addition, they are often depressed, experiencing anxiety, characterized by a decrease in self-esteem, a crisis of identity, a system of values, the presence of guilt, shame. The problems of interaction with others, the refusal to interact with people who have children, the growth of aggressiveness, hostility, conflict are also increasing. Women with problems in the reproductive sphere of any genesis are subject to stress states that disrupt their psychological well-being. Women call infertility the most difficult problem they have to overcome. There is a hypothesis that stress itself due to the presence of difficulties in the onset of pregnancy aggravates these difficulties, a certain “vicious circle” arises. In general, such women use ineffective copying strategies, emotional coping becomes predominant. Finding social support increases anxiety about an existing problem. Avoidance is a predictor of depression. Copying such as accepting responsibility is an indicator of guilt, so it is also ineffective. The situation is similar with the strategy of planning a solution to the problem.
