Abstract:Aiming at the problems of poor shear stability and complicated preparation process of existing polymer microspheres, the paper proposes to use “dry water microreactor” to prepare polymer microspheres (PSN@SiO2). The effects of liquid-solid ratio, stirring speed and stirring time on the particle size of “dry water microreactor” were investigated by single factor experiment. A stable “dry water microreactor” can be formed only at specific liquid-solid ratio and the size of the microreactors become smaller with the increase of stirring speed and stirring time. FTIR, TEM, SEM, TGA and Particle Size Analyzer were used to characterize the chemical structure, microstructure, thermal stability and particle size of PSN@SiO2. The results show that PSN@SiO2 has a core-shell structure with a median particle size of 9.25 μm. The thermal stability of PSN@SiO2 is well. In addition, the suspension stability, swelling and plugging properties of the PSN@SiO2 dispersion system were explored. Compared with the conventional polymer microspheres, PSN@SiO2 has delayed swelling property, which is favorable for transporting to deeper reservoir. The PSN@SiO2 could effectively seal cores with permeabilities ranging from 400 × 10−3 μm2 to 1400 × 10−3 μm2. The PSN@SiO2 dispersion system can realize “washing oil while controlling profile”, effectively expanding the spread range of surfactants and improving the oil washing efficiency.
