“Integration of Moral, Intellectual, Physical, Aesthetic and Labor Education”: China’s New Era of Education and Teaching Reform and Development Exploration

Abstract:“Integration of Moral, Intellectual, Physical, Aesthetic and Labor Education” is an important practical proposition in the development of education and teaching reform in the new era. It is also the practice of the educational concept of “Educating Five Domains Simultaneously”. This article reviews “Six Arts Education” of the slave society in ancient China, and Cai Yuanpei’s “Educating Five Domains Simultaneously” policy before the founding of the People’s Republic of China. It summarizes the history of founding ceremony of the People’s Republic of China and the reconstruction of the education system, analyzes the evolution of the educational policy of the party and the state, reflects on the achievements of “integration of five-education”, and tries to clarify the historical evolution of “Educating Five Domains Simultaneously”, so that the practice of “integration of five-education” has a clear far and near vision.
