Abstract:This study aims to investigate the impact of youth coaching competency and resilience on academic stress among middle and high school students in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. A total of 430 questionnaires were distributed, and 423 were collected. After excluding incomplete responses, 411 questionnaires were used for the final analysis. Reliability and validity tests were performed using SPSS 25.0, and correlations and multiple regression analyses were conducted to examine the relationships among the variables. The results showed that coaching competencies and resilience in adolescents had a negative correlation with academic stress. Specifically, the positive emotional competencies and goal execution competencies of coaching, as well as positivity in resilience, played a significant role in alleviating academic stress. These findings provide important implications for the introduction of coaching programs aimed at reducing academic stress and improving mental health in adolescents.
