Abstract:The article examines current trends in the international labor market system. It is substantiated that the international labor market is a global system that brings together buyers and sellers of labor from different countries, it has cross-border labor flows, where workers can move and find work outside their national borders, and it also includes mechanisms for regulating the supply of and demand for labor at the international level. It is shown that the international labor market in 2023 underwent significant changes due to a number of factors: the war led to significant displacement of people, job losses and supply chain disruptions, which negatively affected the global economy and labor market; inflation led to a decrease in real incomes of workers, which led to increased social tensions and strikes; although the COVID-19 pandemic has subsided, it still had an impact on the labor market, in particular through restrictions and changes in human behavior; automation and artificial intelligence continue to change the nature of the labor market. To successfully integrate into the international labor market, Ukraine is suggested to: invest in education and training – it is important to improve the qualifications of the Ukrainian labor force to meet the requirements of the international labor market; create favorable conditions for doing business, which will attract foreign investment and create new jobs; reduce bureaucracy and corruption, which will make it easier to do business and make Ukraine more attractive to foreign workers; protect workers’ rights, which is important to ensure that Ukrainian workers have decent conditions. Successful integration of Ukrainian refugees into EU labor markets will depend on providing refugees with access to language courses, vocational training and retraining programs. After the war ends and the country recovers, demand for labor is expected to increase, which may lead to the return of Ukrainian refugees from abroad. The war may stimulate the development of new industries, such as the defense industry and information technology, which will require new qualifications and competencies from the labor force.
